Flower

Let’s see. Since the last update, I’ve moved her outside and she loves it. Pollinated two of the lowest branches with a male Freakshow so I’m looking forward to that in a month or so. Other than that she’s going to get some food this weekend so that should take her to the end of the flower cycle.

Flower

Haven’t posted in a while. Just started week 3 of Flower. Did a top dressing hopefully I put enough food in there to keep her feed til the end.

HeritageSecretGarden

HeritageSecretGarden You only top feed once? Seems way to little food to support a plant that size, I’m pretty sure my partner who I get most of my genetics from top dresses twice on wk3&6 but again what do I know I use synthetics

Day: 67

Week 1 of flower complete. Just hit her with a fungal dominated tea and pulled down her branches for light and airflow. She has been doing good this whole grow with organic amendments and water. If she needs to be supported later on in flower, I’ll stick some bamboo in there.

2 months in and finally took the scissors to her. Cleaned up the bottom, top dressed, and watered at 5.9 Ph. Previous runoff came it at 7.0. Need to get it back down to normal operating ranges.

I know she’s been ready to go into flower. I need to pull more clones off her before that happens.

Day: 47

Watered in a diluted castings, compost, and organic fertilizer tea with molasses yesterday. I have to say that the girls lived it! Might consider brewing one every other week. Indica and Sativa side by side!!

Day: 46

Still going strong. Top dressed. She’s so ready to flower.maybe I’ll just send her into flower once the clones root.

Day: 40

Watered in some compost and casting tea this morning and left her outside eventually the sun came out and gave her all the PPFDs she could handle. No real updates. She’s doing amazing!

Day: 37

I guess the only update here is that this girl got topped, removed a couple fan leaves, and watered in some Ph molasses water to feed to microbes in the soil.

DaGr8estEv3R

DaGr8estEv3R Hey I was wondering if you can help with a quick question I have regarding amending soil I just started 3 seeds in a paper towel 1 Purple Punch 1 Purple Lemonade and 1 Super Skunk all Auto’s so I am planning on using soil which is Berger BM6 soil and I want to amend it with Gaia Green 4-4-4 4 tbsp’s per gallon and 25% Earthworm Castings to volume of soil my question is can I amend the soil and put the seed in it after they pop or would that be too hot for seeds and will kill them I can’t find any info anywhere but I would like to give the plants what they need right away and I want to really have these take off but I don’t want them to die just wondering if you knew if that would be ok and fine to do cause I believe that soil doesn’t really have tons of fertilizers in it so I wanted to give the plants a nice start any option would be greatly Appreciated thank you

BINAII

BINAII That’s a valid concern. I wondered the same thing some time ago. Here’s the quick answer: if you’ve amended your soil with the 4-4-4 according to the manufacturer’s recommendation, you should be fine. The amendments won’t start breaking down right away so you won’t have anything to worry about in the beginning when the seedlings are so tiny. So you should be fine. Another option and what I did when I had concerns: amend the soil accordingly but leave like 3-5 inches so you can add regular non amended BM6 on top of the amended soil and that way your seedlings can have an opportunity to start growing in a light soil mix and then when it’s about 2 weeks, it’ll be growing into the amended soil and you won’t have to top dress for a while and the plans would have what they need throughout the rest of the pot. Hopefully you starting them in their final pot cause they’re autoflowers. Be careful how you Ph your water though. With all the lime amendments in the BM6, you can actually lock out some nutrients because the Ph of that soil is already low. I’d recommend Starting with a water Ph around 6.3. Let me know it that answered your question and hit me up if I can help with anything else.

DaGr8estEv3R

DaGr8estEv3R Yea it does and I ph my water at 6.3 anyway that’s where I always have cause it’s between 6.0-6.7 I was just wondering does that Berger BM6 have enough stuff to get it growing nice for the first 2 weeks or so cause when I looked up that soil it’s a soil for growing bud well the BM6 is one of there cannabis soil’s so I would think it is good as is for seeds to start off great but I wasn’t sure and you know what they say you make a ass out of yourself by assuming lol

Half pro mix, half earthworm casting, ground up the snap peas, lentils, oyster shell, and help meal in my coffee grinder to turn them to a fine powder and add a few teaspoons of each. Add fish bone meal ground up the gypsum and add it. Add lobster compost at half the amount of the earthworm casting, added lava rocks in there and mixed and misted with water. Just enough to get it damp. Not soaked. Then I added clover seeds to the top once I had the soil in the pot or in this case…..EZ-Straw to keep the top of my soil from drying out. I want the microbes to thrive in my pot.

She’s growing tough. Put her out in the sun today and she dried up a bit. Poured some water on her and her roots so she’s a bit sad at the end of the day. She’ll feel like her normal self tomorrow. Kinda feel like I should top her though.🤔

She came back to life after the transplant and watering. Gonna give her a tea next week.

Transplant day came early. She was sucking the water out of that one gallon fabric pot too fast. So here she sits. Five gallon pot. Let’s see how long it takes her to grow into it. I want to get some straw to put on top and some worms to go inside. I’m here’s food, castings, and minerals in there. She should look way happier in the morning. Stressful day with the transplant and the fan leaf stripping.

BINAII Thanks man

Day: 23

This girl has been doing making me happy everyday. Her growth rate, water and nutrient uptake, structure, side shoots all look amazing. Will I be taking clones and making a mother plant? I think I will be. She’s just now getting rid of her cotyledons. She still as her first true leaves which I’m happy about. Was going to put her in the 5 gallon fabric pot but I think I’m going to put her in the 7 gallon fabric pot. Not even a month🤯

Day: 22

This thing is going to be a beast. Only top dressed with nutrients and a little bit of minerals and she’s growing fast. No burnt tips, no yellowing, no weird effects. She’s on her 9th node already with the 10th coming in in her third week. I’m super pumped to see how big she can get this summer. 🤞🏾🤞🏾

Approve or disapprove???

BINAII

BINAII Can’t wait til this girl fills up this 1 gallon fabric pot. I already have her 5 gallon in the other tent waiting. I’m going to brew a warm casting and fish fertilizer tea this evening. Gonna dilute a spray bottle for foliage spray and hit her with it. Already have peas powder, oyster flour, worm castings, and crustacean meal in this medium. Only on the top though. Her 5 gallon home has nutrients and minerals throughout with Pro-mix BX as a base.

Day: 18

Finally got a these nodes stacking tight. Wish I had a 7 gallon fabric pot to put her in when I transplant. Didn’t even realize how much more green she got since mixing in a layer of worm castings into the top of the medium a few days ago. #win

HammertimeAZ Glad it worked for you! It’s my go to aspirin for my plants too.

Wanted to showcase the node spacing. A few more nodes and she’ll get her first topping. Maybe her only topping. We’ll see.
