Garlic Cookie Day 1
Spring 2021
Just got the new plant from my neighbor today. It was planted 4/3/2021, it’s called “Garlic Cookie”! Gonna have it in the bag for about a week while I prepare the soil and spot!

Day: 168
The plant I had to harvest due to it breaking during that two day storm. Have some final trimming to do once they dry out a bit. Smells amazing tho.

topdogogkush Does it smell like garlic ????
mattekar Yeah tell us does it smell like garlic or craftsmen tools? Huge yield congrats!
optimusprime80 It smells like a cross between a spice rack and a 1/2 open ended wrench! Very unique. 🤣🤣

Day 167 and after the rain and losing power yesterday for almost 20 hours, this is the result. 🤷♂️

Day: 167
A little beat up but after what they went through, could have been a lot worse. There were 3 main coals that bent and broke. 🤷♂️

Day: 165
Need someone to talk me off the ledge. We have had nonstop rain for the last 15+ hours. Do I ride it out or just go out there and cut them down? It’s not gonna stop for at least another 15-20 hours.

Day: 165
Current situation. I’m almost crying. Should I be worried or just let nature take her course?

Day: 165
At least it’s something! Got everything tied down and covered the best I could for what I had. Still trying to think how I can dry them off a bit!

Peng Good work! 😎
Day: 164
Getting more and more orange hairs. Little concerned with the up coming rain this week. Not sure if I should ride it out a few more weeks or take what I can get and harvest a little early? 😬. Temps are gonna drop to the low 50’s with rain almost every day.

Day: 164
Today’s microscope check in. Pretty much all clear tricomes, maybe a few cloudy. Gonna keep checking every two or three days to document the progress. Watched a few videos about “waiting” and pretty much put me at ease with worrying about harvesting late. Best just to wait and when you think it’s done…..wait another 7 days. Also, don’t worry about flushing for 2 weeks or more. When growing outdoor in soil, all you have to do is just use water the last few days before harvest. Oh, I also bought a 16” bubble trimmer. Can’t wait to use that.

Peng 😎
Peng Don’t worry too much about the darkness thing, I don’t. I think it comes from the fact that harvesting outdoors before first light in the cold snap just before dawn preserves terpenes and other compounds that would degrade in light and heat. You don’t find prolonged hours of darkness like that in nature, so it’s not something I worry about too much whereas the time of day you harvest outdoors is.

Day: 162
So I’m at the point where I’m not 100% sure when to harvest!? I know to look at the tri-combs and when they get a little foggy or amber colored, it’s time. But I want to let it grow as long as possible and I am a patient person so I’m not in any rush, just don’t want to let it go too far. If anyone sees this, could you give me a few pointers or tips on when is the best time to harvest? Thanks in advance.

rickkurack Looks awesome but it depends on what you want to feel I believe
optimusprime80 Got cha. I’m really looking for a more upper/able to do stuff more than a couch lock.
rickkurack You should try to avoid amber if you’re looking for that feeling then , from what I know amber is what will give you couch lock .

Day: 162
Just had to take some morning sunshine pictures. I swear, I go back there 10 times a day just to stare. Lol. It’s the little things in life that gets me giddy. 🤷♂️

Day: 158
Slowly getting the fan leaves cut down. One bucket at a time. We have had a lot of rain the past few weeks so I’ve only had to water them a handful of times. Still feeding twice a week. Gonna wait another week then switch to just water for rinsing.

Day: 152
Mostly clear but well on her way. Put up some bamboo poles to help with the weight. Pulled off some more yellowing fan leaves. Smells amazing and I’m gonna keep monitoring every 4 days to document the tricombs! Is it two weeks before harvest that I quit feeding?

Day: 149
The colas seem to be doubling in size every day. Still feeding Tiger Big Bloom every 4 days. Trying to think up a way to start supporting the branches so they don’t bend over from the weight. Been pulling a lot of yellow leaves from the plant on the right. Looks healthy other wise.

optimusprime80 Plush Berry is the middle one and the right one is Sour OG Cheese.
optimusprime80 The main plant on the left is the Garlic Cookie

Day: 144
So the little one in the middle is hanging on. She’s got a small stem but has some pretty nice colas for being a small plant. The two on the outside are doing fantastic other than the yellowing of the leaves on the right one. Got some cooler temperatures heading our way but nothing below 60. Water is still 5 gallons X2 with Tiger Big Bloom added once a week. All 3 plants are over 6’ now. Again, this is the only space I had available and know it’s a tight fit for 3 plants but I’m doing the best I can with what I have. Don’t expect to win any awards and don’t claim to have the best stuff around. This is a hobby for me and I enjoy learning new stuff every day.

Day: 128
Half way through August. Still feeding twice a week. Have had a lot of rain the past two weeks. The berry Cush in the middle is hanging on but is still quite thin due to the other two enveloping it. The OG Cush on the right is definitely catching up and doing great. Today I trimmed the lower branches and pulled all the dead stuff off.

Mystrain420-@eaegifts Beautiful 👍🏾
optimusprime80 Thanks man. I’m no pro but Love learning and enjoy growing. I’m not even a user! Lol. I just grow as a hobby and to help my friends who smoke save some money! 👍
Mystrain420-@eaegifts Always great to grow for the love of it, even greater to grow share it
Day: 77
Kind of a strange position but all is well. Cut all the under growth out and pinched a few tops off on all 3 plants. The one on the far right is pretty lanky but is doing very well. The middle one is my runt. She’s hanging in there but because I have limited space, she’s a little crunched. I’ll do my best to keep them separated but this is just for fun so I’ll just see how it goes.
