Genetic lineage is as follows : Hash Plant crossed with Jack Herer. Result crossed back with Hash Plant. Result crossed with Northern Lights. Result crossed with AAAAA. Result crossed with Hash Plant. End result breakdown = 59.375% Hash Plant, 3.125% Jack Herer, 12.5% Northern Lights, 25% AAAAA. Labeled: Hash Plant 5 Star 7 total seeds in germination (water submersion) day 1. Room cleaned of dust, debris, and sanitized. Two 1000watt HPS fixtures setup and prepared with fresh bulbs. Room able to maintain temp between 73-77 with both lights on, And fan+AC running set to 68° to offset heat from lights. (Temp with no AC and no fan reached up to 88° , could have climbed higher so avoid letting this happen!!) Humidity averaging between 34-37% . Seedling station setup and prepared. Start of the journey.

Picture is null. After waiting a bit over a week into germination with 0% success rate, I felt something was off. Reached out to my brother. Come to find out, the seeds I got my hands on are quite a bit older than a year. Estimated to be between 10-12 years old. And unfortunately when I found the seeds, half of the bag was opened and spilled over the top of a desk. Sad to say that they all may no longer be viable. I will still keep the seeds around, one day I may get bored and decide to focus energy on breaking on of them loose. With that being said, on to the next!

Day: 4
Still no signs of taproot from the towel seeds or sprouting from seeds in humidity containment. Yesterday @2pm placed five additional seeds into water cup. Added 3% hydrogen peroxide to the water with liquid plant food. 20 hours later (10am) removed two seeds from cup that showed splitting in shell, placed into Pete pellet in humidity dome. Will check cup again at 2pm/24 hour mark for signs of progress. Old seeds are no fun so far, hoping the genetics pull through

@eaegifts Seeds can drown growmie and if the temps aren’t rite they just die off if the paper towel. Best method is soak for a while than plant point down, keep the medium warm and moist but not saturated, they’ll pop in a day or 2 👍🏾👍🏾
@eaegifts Some professional suggest this method because it avoids touching the seedlings taproot after they’ve sprouted
wescoas Yes understood, there are only 2 seeds in the towel but they seem to be hard as a rock still. I think there’s a good chance they’ve been kept too cold, its generally below 70° in my house. Out of the 5 seeds i put in water yesterday, two of them split open within 20 hours. So I am probably just going to stick to that method from now on and skip the paper towel

Outside temp dropped to low 50s/high 40s through the night. First trial to see what standing temp is in room without any lighting or air circulation. 9 hours lapse since last temp reading of 75° with 37% humidity

Trial run with 3 seeds into soil with perlite supplement. Watered with distilled bottle, soil aerated before placement of seed. Lowered LED strip light with raised fluorescent. Fan currently not running
