Buds are curing. Already made some brownies out of the pollen and the sugar leafs, and they were potent!

StanW213

StanW213 how did u make brownies out of the pollen?

treborlexx

treborlexx I had some Sugarleaf, small buds and some pollen. What I did was broke it up pretty good, then I heated it up in the oven and toasted it at 250° for about an hour. Then, I sautéed the toasted buds in a couple sticks of butter, at low heat for about 45 minutes. Then I strained the leaf material from the butter. The brownie recipe called for a quarter cup of shortening so I just use a quarter cup of this canna butter I made.

StanW213

StanW213 ok that sounds good thanks bro

Buds separated from branches. Cool air drying before final hand manicuring of each bud.

HeritageSecretGarden

HeritageSecretGarden Why do u have a fan blowing directly on the bud? No bueno bro. You want them to dry slowly 60 degree 60% humidity with airflow but not blowing directly on the bud for about 15 days or until the little branches snap just my 2 cents

treborlexx

treborlexx Dude, I’ve been growing weed since I was 16 years old. This is the way I do it and I’ve had nothing but excellent results however I value your opinion. Have a nice day.

treborlexx

treborlexx Also, they are only going to be subjected to the fan for about three hours. Every hour I rotate the buds from the top to the bottom. Then, I put them in a bigger tub and let them stay like that for about three days. Rotating them occasionally in a humidity/temperature controlled room. After that they’re ready to be put into the jars after they’re trimmed. Like I say I value your opinion but this is how I’ve been doing it for a long time. And I always have excellent excellent results. I only grow sativa dominant hybrids. I’ve done it the way you say as well.

These are the last photographs I will submit of the mature buds. They will be harvested Tuesday. At this point the buds are so heavy that the tops of the plants are drooping down because of the weight of the buds!

Day: 203

Utilizing the microscope you can see that several of the tops of the pistils are amber. I’m anticipating by Monday that over 40% will be this way which will be the right time to harvest for Maxximum potency.

The payoff for taking the time to force the branches to produce more buds by using LST is evident now. There are multiple bud sites on all branches! Yeah!!!

Using garden stakes , LST clips, and landscape wire; pulled lower branches down to open plant up more for maximin sunlight to the bud sites. Defoliation of sun blocking fan leaves.

Changed nutrients to promote flowering. Lollipopped all branches, all small branches and leaves removed. Only yield producing branches remain. My dog likes my plant.

Day: 133

Just completed cutting off all the small branches that were growing on the backsides of the two houses plants, as they would not yield too much. Did some branch bending and LST with clips to fan out the lower branches so they catch more sunlight.

The beginning of pre-bud pistils. Still more vegetative growth. Plants are almost 3.5 feet high.

This month letting plant grow with no defoliation to increase its size during its last vegetative stage. The plant is almost as big as my Boxwood hedge.

Day: 97

Lateral growth has increased approximately 2 1/2 inches over the last three weeks. I’ve been bending branches and defoliating and now the plants are starting to achieve some bushiness.

Day: 95

It’s amazing how fast these plants rejuvenate and produce more leaves after a heavy defoliation.

ig:@eaegifts

ig:@eaegifts Hell yea growmie, you was for sure rite. Bounced back like what defoliation 👍🏾👍🏾

treborlexx

treborlexx 🤗 I’m hoping by the end of July these plants will double in size.

ig:@eaegifts

ig:@eaegifts Oh yea definitely see that happening, gonna need a cage or nets. It’s barely summer

Day: 87

Vegetative growth is consistent. I have been blessed with many ladybugs and praying mantises in my garden this summer. I am hoping that during this month in the next month and the plants will double in size and produce more lateral branches. I will continue defoliating the large fan leaves once they get to be 5 inches in length or better.

ig:@eaegifts

ig:@eaegifts Better to keep foliage outdoors imo, leaf’s soak up that great sunlight. More leafs=bigger faster growth.

treborlexx

treborlexx This is how I always do it and I always have a lot of success. I will only do this for another couple weeks because I want as many of the lower developing nodes to receive as much light as possible. Right now these two plants have the structure that I have been wanting to achieve. Next month, the only fan leaves that I will remove will be the ones that block any light.

ig:@eaegifts

ig:@eaegifts Nice, I’ve never done outdoors so just an opinion. I’m excited to see the results👍🏾👍🏾

As the fan leaves on the tops of the principal branches become more than 5 inches in length they are removed to promote leaf development along the length of the branches. Both plants are exhibiting rapid growth as the sun is at its highest point and water and nutrients have been calibrated to promote maximum vegetative growth. Ideally I am anticipating these plants to double in size within the next 30 days.
