My first grow!
My first time having a go at this.

Day: 92
How much more growth should I expect here? About 5 weeks into flowering, with 9-12 being what the seed houses say to expect for flowering.

Caliban Might double or triple in height depending on the strain. But most of the stretch likely at least happened.
budman0211 Its all about the nuggies now bro!! š
Day: 87
I messed up on watering and let these girls get way too dry, but theyāve seemed quite resilient so hopefully theyāll be looking good tomorrow. Need to start reading up on when to harvest, but hoping for more growth before then.

Day: 57
Was away for the holiday and one of the Mauis got quite dried out. I feared Iād killed her, but to my surprise she looked pretty much good as new an hour later after watering. Just beginning to see signs of some flowers forming.

Day 1 of 12/12. Maybe should have started the net earlier. Curious to see how the Afghani, which is just a couple weeks old, will produce given how far behind it is.

Day: 48
Set up a net, upgraded from a TS600 to a TS1000, and did a little bit of defoliation. Also added a carbon filter as the smell was getting noticeable, but need to work on a much less-ghetto mounting setupā¦

stick e fingerz Stand the filter up on the floor bro and mount the fan up top hanging those big boys are a tough task trust me Iāve been there done that or the straps they send out with the filters are good to use
stick e fingerz Looks good š
420lowell Thanks! Good call, I currently have no duct but should just buy some. Would probably look a lot better and free up space up top as they grow.

Day: 38
Are these preflowers (by where Iād lopped off some fan leaves)? Plants currently look kind of ugly because I just tied a whole bunch of branches down. Moved the surviving Afghani plant into a bigger pot, but need to get it elevated a bit. (Terra cotta is a temporary half measure.) I assume itās way too early to think about flipping the tent over to 12/12 because of the youngān, but thereās always going to he a big disparity there.

Day: 33
Was doing a little comparison experiment; have been much more aggressive with FIM and LST on the right, while the girl on the left just saw minor thinning of fan leaves. Definitely liking the growth on the right more. Seedlings arenāt doing great; I let one get too dry. Also started them way too late.

Day: 32
Re-FIMmed the girl on the right a few days ago since the first time didnāt take. May have gotten a little carried away cutting off the larger fan leaves crowding out new branches. Started to LST lower branches. Accidentally let the Afghani seedlings get a little too dry; hoping theyāll bounce back.

Day: 26
Nothing too exciting to report. Small pot is an Afghani seedling. I hadnāt been paying a lot of attention and let the soil get pretty dry, but the plants were OK. Watered tonight, and tried again to FIM the plant on the right. Last time I apparently just trimmed the new-growth leavesā¦

Day: 23
Not huge, but coming along! Humidity in the grow tent has shot up to 65-70% with these oversized bags for now. Iāve temporarily raised the light a little bit to see if I can slow these down just a smidge so I can get the new seeds Iām germinating to join them all in one cycle. Thatāll end up being a long veg period on these but there are worse things to doā¦

mystrain420 _@eaegifts Youād be better off elevating the seedlings when u get them sprouted vs raising the light. By raising the light youāre not gonna slow growth youāre gonna make em stretch. Turn the light down if it has a dimmer would help šš¾
Julian505$ @mystrain420 What do you mean by making them stretch?
mystrain420 _@eaegifts The way theyāre growing now is great, by making them stretch I mean the internode will be overly spaced. When light is too far from a plant that will make the plant grow lanky reaching for it. Often times you see it with seedlings not getting enough light, they have an overly long stem and canāt stand up but not much foliage

Day: 20
Repotted both tonight. (Photo obviously taken midway through.) Probably an excessively large jump, from 6ā pots to 7-gallon bags, their final home. But both had roots starting to come out the bottom. I should have more seeds arriving tomorrow, though it feels a bit late to add them. Plus these are supposedly sativa-dominant and whatās coming is a landrace indica, so itās not like theyāll catch up on height.

Day: 18
A bit of experimentation for fun. I have some Hindu Kush seeds I want to add to the grow, so Iām willing to accept slower growth for a bit here. Tied a leaf down on the left plant as some crude LST. Cut off a couple leaves on the plant on the right to get more light on the growth at the newer leaf sites. Not sure thatās entirely kosher especially this early, but curiosity got the better of me.

stick e fingerz Nice š Ditch those clay pots my dude get some fabric pots they perform much better
420lowell Thanks for the advice! These were somewhat temporary but Iām definitely liking the fabric pots I transplanted them to last night!
stick e fingerz Dope they work great š
Day: 17
Love watching these grow. I think these were starting to droop from lack of water. Using small amounts of CalMag and Fox Farms fertilizer with watering now. Wonder if I can transplant directly from these 6ā pots to 7-gallon grow bags once they grow a tiny bit more, or if I should go through an intermediate size first?

Day: 15
Moved the second plant over to a larger pot, since it was looking a little smaller. Both are in 6ā pots now. It wasnāt looking root-bound, though. I may be getting ahead of myself, but in the interest of experimentation, I FIMmed the plant on the left (#2). Just watered both, but the lights are about to shut off for the night. Plant on the right is much darker in color and Iām not sure if this is phenotypic variance or just a nutrient thing or something? Starting to get small growths at the nodes where larger leaves come off. Hoping this is the start of it bushing out.

Day: 14
Growth is finally starting to get rolling!

Day: 9
(Backdated) Plant on the right was put under grow lights once it started. Plant on the left was left to grow in a windowsill for a few days. Clearly a bad idea. Following advice, I repotted the one on the left, buying at least half the stem.
loverbudz How do you transplant them?
420lowell Nothing fancyājust like I was transplanting a houseplant or something. Carefully tipped it upside down into my palm, with my fingers protecting the plant. Some soil without roots fell away, and the rest stayed together. Dropped it into a new pot. Seems to have worked fine.
Day: 7
(Backdated) Setting up in the tent. Absurdly much room to grow!

Day: 3
(Backdated) Transplanting the plant on the left out of that absurd little pot thatās in the upper right. First true leaves showing. Girl on the left (fem seeds) sat by a window for a couple days while the right plant went under the light immediately.
