Original Glue Auto

Spring 2022

4 plants, 2 in 5G fabric pots, 2 in 10G fabric pots. 600w LED. 18/6 light schedule. General Hydroponics Flora Series (micro, grow, bloom) 1/8 strength for first few weeks of veg then move up to 1/4 strength. Feed every other watering. No training but plan on being a bit aggressive with my defoliating before flowering.

24 hours darkness for these ladies and then the chop. Third plant still has a ways to go but now I got the light a lot closer to it so should finish up quick.

So closing notes for this grow basically. They smell good and are pretty covered in trichs but they never quite filled out like they should have. Gonna start harvesting top to bottom as the trichs mature. Not worried about the quality of this bud though Iā€™m just pleased with how much I learned about maintaining Ph and nutrient uptake. I had a lot of deficiencies in these plants due to incorrect ph and build up of nutrients in the medium causing lockout. Notes for next grow: gonna try 3 gallon fabric pots with fox farm soil with added perlite and mycorrhiza. I need to hone in on getting a proper amount of run off throughout my entire grow while not overwatering them hence why the smaller pots with better drainage. Iā€™m far more confident after this grow but even if the next isnā€™t perfect Iā€™ll be happy if I can learn something from it.

Watered plain water ph 6.1 ppm 90. I got a fair amount of runoff this time and it read perfectly within the ph range but 900+ ppm! I feel like this is why Iā€™m having so many deficiencies cause itā€™s all built up on the bottom probably incorrect ph and all that. Iā€™m just confused about getting a good amount of run off during veg without overwatering the plants? Do I use smaller pots? Do I try transplanting? Please help!

budog With your stage in flower itā€™s ok if your plant has some deficiencies. Towards the end you can cut off nutrients completely and let the plant soak up its own nutrients from the leaves

colby_moore

colby_moore Yeah I know itā€™s okay to let it eat up the immobile nutrients stored in the leaves but I had a bunch of deficiencyā€™s like from the start of flowering cal mag especially (which I was not feeding from the start) but I feel like itā€™s also due to build up at the bottom of the fabric pot because I just barely started getting run off without over watering them. I need to do some reading on run off I guess

Day: 64

Watered last Friday. Donā€™t think these will turn out that well and the micronutrient deficiencies are still eating away at the bigger leaves but I learned a lot this grow about maintaining ph and how to feed autos. Still have a lot to learn but Iā€™m excited for the next grow.

Day: 61

Fed today. 1/4 strength 3 part plus 1ml of cal mag and silica. Ph in was 6.3 ppm 430. Didnā€™t have enough water for run off so I phd some distilled and ran enough through to get some run off. Ph was 5.9-6.1. Hopefully they should recover from the deficiencies. I also remade me co2 generator with a new batch and a heating pad this time to keep the bucket warm.

Day: 56

This is week 3 of flowering. I few days prior I fed some cal mag and silica which I will start working both I or my regular feeding schedule. Cal mag should cure the magnesium deficiency Iā€™ve got atm. Today I watered just water 6.6 ph about 1 liter each. You can also see Iā€™ve implemented my own DIY ghetto CO2 generator! Lmk if you want an explanation of that.

Organic

Organic Just let her do her thing I grew GG4 and sometimes itā€™s genetics. Gurilla Glue started as a hermie, you also donā€™t want to cause over Photophosphorylation with adding CO2. As it doesnā€™t appear to my eyes lack of space or if introduction of CO2 Iā€™m guessing itā€™s well ventilated. Iā€™m growing another 4 GG Autos with my photos. The strain is delicious however I personally think maintaining temp and humidity is key. However I am a novice, maybe I read too much. So your knowledge probably out ways mine.

colby_moore

colby_moore You can never read too much I donā€™t think I read enough honestly. You probably know far more than me. The CO2 set up is just a bucket of sugar water and yeast with an air pump keeping air flow through the whole thing. I donā€™t have a way to measure how much itā€™s actually producing but I canā€™t imagine itā€™s enough to over due it. I honestly donā€™t know Iā€™m just kinda experimenting.

Day: 51

So for starters I decided to move my 3 best looking plants under the more powerful lights however as you can tell (first picture) I noticed on the two bigger ones that there is some yellowing between the cells of the older fan leaves. If anyone can tell me there best guess as to what that is Iā€™d appreciate it. Other than that growth has been good Iā€™ve been keeping up with my leaf tucking and itā€™s seems like itā€™s paying off.

steezykayla

steezykayla Yellowing between margins is likely potassium deficiency. If youā€™re using a 3 part system up your micro a bit

steezykayla

steezykayla Deficiency as itā€™s taking from older leaves to supplement itself

colby_moore

colby_moore Iā€™m using general hydroponics 3 part system. Thanks for the tip Iā€™ll up it a bit. Probably start giving a little cal mag as well

Day: 46

I made a big mistake totally forgot to ph the water cause I had so much going on. I wasnā€™t even supposed to feed this round. What do I do!?!?!

Crunch

Crunch Been there done that !! Flush them with Distilled H2O with good run off and dump it

BINAII

BINAII An alternative would to allow the pot soil to dry, water in a half liter of Ph water (around 5.9 - 6.2) only when the soil is dry and the plants need water. Once the plants get big enough and the root system can handle 5 gallons of wet soil, then Iā€™d recommend watering til a bit of runoff to so that you can start dialing in your optimum Ph. Because youā€™re running autos, you risk stressing them out more and stunting them if you flush the soil now. Autos eventually have very aggressive growth so you might still be ahead of the game. The plant on the left looks like its been overwatered a bit. The other one looks great. You have to let the plants have a dry cycle between watering. Soon theyā€™ll be dry every two days and youā€™ll have to increase the water quantity. Canā€™t wait to see the full grow. Youā€™re doing good so far. Mistakes happen. You donā€™t have to take drastic measures every time you mess up. The plants will tell you if you analyze them. You never knowā€¦..they may respond positively to what you did. Good luck!!!

BINAII

BINAII When I said, ā€œlooks like a little overwatered,ā€ itā€™s because the leaves look like they want to curl under. Just in case you were wondering what signs I looked for.

Day: 41

So I waited for the soil to completely dry out in the sickly looking one and it still never recovered. His roommate starting looking pretty thirsty so I decided to water them both 6.7 ph 180 ppm and the droopy one still doesnā€™t look any better. At this point I have to assume it was some kind of ph issue and Iā€™ll probably flush as a last resort. In the other tent things look great tho! Plants have flipped to flowering and the one on the right is really taking off think it might be time to turn up the nutrients a little bit for them.

Day: 39

After the last watering she ( last picture) almost immediately started drooping. I figured i overwatered and just needed to wait for the soil to dry out but she hasnā€™t recovered yet and looks worse by the day. Other than that I fed the rest of them today 6.6 ph 160 ppm. Looks like Iā€™m starting to see some pistils poking out of all of them

PouceVert

PouceVert Whatā€™s your humidity?

Day: 35

+2

Officially got the whole grow area set up and all the plants situated. Temp in the basement is a bit chillier but Iā€™ve got a heater keeping the tents around 70 so Iā€™m happy with that. Humidity is naturally right around where a want it to be so no need for a humidifier anymore. Super pumped with how it all looks!

Day: 34

Watered today plain water 6.6 ph. Might need to water a little bit less. Gonna put the two bigger pots in the other tent and tomorrow probably move the other tent out next too it. Itā€™s a bit colder out there but should be fine

Day: 27

Today marks what I think is technically start of week 3 of veg. Iā€™ve slowly decreased the humidity to 50% in the tent. They got their first bit of nutrients. General hydroponics flora 3 part. 1/8 strength. 6.78 ph 145 ppm. Gave a little less then 1/2 a gallon to each plant (little more to the bigger pots) they look really good think things will get more exciting now that Iā€™ve started nutrients. Next water will definitely be a few days away.

They are starting to get some momentum now still a little small but I think itā€™s because we had cold conditions for the first week or so. Next week Iā€™ll start feeding 1/8 nutrients.

LaFinca

LaFinca They looking good man, definitely see the difference. Should have some height within the next few days

Day: 18

Last pic is the one with the funny looking leaf. They all look really good second pic is my strongest looking lady. Just been giving water this week might wait another week to start feeding 1/8 nutes since they are in fox farm soil.

Day: 11

First leaf set is coming in nice, healthy, and way faster now that Iā€™ve got them at an optimal temperature. Soils just barely starting to dry out Iā€™ll give them a little drink before I go to bed tonight.

PlantXFather

PlantXFather Very nice! Did your heater work out?

colby_moore

colby_moore Yeah I cranked the heat in my house the past couple days and I have a oil heater right outside the tent with a fan blowing the warm air towards the tent. Along with putting the second light in there itā€™s warmed up quite a bit. Consistently like 77 lights on 73 lights off

Day: 9

Added all 4 of them to their final pots today these 10 gallon pots I bought are definitely actually 8 gallon pots or something close to that lol. Temp is 76. Humidity is consistently 70%. Seedlings look strong and healthy!

Day: 8

They are still kicking been cranking the heat in the house and I have a heater outside the tent keeping them a bit warmer

mystrain420 _@eaegifts

mystrain420 _@eaegifts You should plant them already, autos have a short life span that starts from sprout so youā€™re effectively losing size and yields be not planting already. Just a tip šŸ‘šŸ¾

colbymoore

colbymoore Yep Iā€™ll go ahead and do that thank you. Iā€™m just always so worried about overwatering in the beginning if I put them straight into a big container.

mystrain420 _@eaegifts

mystrain420 _@eaegifts Maybe try starting in cups then transplant on day 14

Some of the weirder looking seedlings Iā€™ve gotten Iā€™m not really sure why. I know itā€™s a bit cold for little guys but Iā€™m not sure how to keep it warmer in my tent for them. Any tips?

dmbarrera Use a seedling heating pad.

colbymoore Iā€™ll definitely get one for the next grow
