zenmaster It has felt like a long journey !! But finally it’s day 14 of the drying process and after almost 7 hours I have just finished trimming up the buds and storing into a humidity bag For the right PK plant it’s a final weight of: 70g ! - 2.5oz I’m so happy with this ! Almost double the amount of the left PK plant and this one is my highest yielding plant so far to date, for a grow with only water (not fertilizer or nutrients at all) I’m very happy with this result.

zenmaster It’s been 48 hours that she’s been left in the dark Now today on day 98 - Week 14, I have cut the main root from the base and hung her up to start the drying process Will leave to dry in the dark for 14 days before starting the trim and cure Additional Notes: the stems are so purple it’s beautiful, this plant was the one I originally didn’t think would survive as it grew as a mutant at first and if you swipe to the very last 2 images you can see the base of the main root, it grew 4 main cola stems which I’ve never experienced myself before but I’m very pleased with how it’s turned out I’m very glad I kept it running instead of pulling at the beginning when it grew mutated

ToadWeed Is this a mutation that could pass on to clones? Or is this just luck?

zenmaster Honestly I’m not sure I’ve never worked with clones but I think it’s just a luck thing because both of the PK seeds were both from the same company and the same genetics and this mutation only happened to this one

zenmaster The stems are so purple !!! Anyway for this update trichomes look full and milky, 90% of pistils have browned out and I think it’s perfect time for harvest, any longer I think it would start to degrade I have given her 2 litre watering for the flush before turning lights off Lights will stay off for 48 hours and then she will be chopped from the main root and hung up to dry for 14 days

johnsorrels Where did u get those reflector can I use roofing flashing or is it something special

zenmaster When I got the tent it came with a scrap sheet of Mylar which I cut up to make them into reflectors (which actually help lower buds grow a lot) .. you can buy sheets of Mylar online really cheap

zenmaster It’s been 14 days drying for the left PK plant, trimmed up the buds and done the final weigh up FINAL WEIGHT: 43.5g - 1.5oz I’m alright with this, weight isn’t as high as the Northern Lights I did previously but the quality looks better than the NL, still got the right PK left which will be chopped this week and hung up to start the drying process

zenmaster Final Weight: 37.5g (1.3oz) !! Left to slow dry for 14 days and just trimmed up all the buds with a final weight of 1.3oz I’m so happy with this result ! Smells fantastic and has lots of purple hues ! Stored in a mason jar and will begin the curing process !

She has had 48 hours of complete darkness and now been cut from the main root, hung up to dry and will be left for 10-14 days before final trim Gelato cake is still hanging and drying on day 8 so far, will leave the GC until day 14 before trim The right PK is still in the tent as not quite ready yet

zenmaster Niceee I’m not really a sativa fan but the smell of this gelato cake ooofft can’t wait to try it ! (The one in this photo is purple Kush tho, the gelato cake is a bit further down this grow log the bonsai one)

zenmaster The right PK is on week 11 still no purple compared to the left PK, still looks like sometime to go to fatten up The left PK is ready to come down, the top buds have started to foxtail which is very annoying, she will be put in the dark tomorrow for 48hrs then cut on the day of week 10

zenmaster Now that the GC is out of the tent the temperature and humidity are at much better levels The left PK is completely purple, however the right PK has no purple, which is strange because they’re the same genetics and I’m doing the same thing to both but both seem to be quite different Right PK is looking a little fatter compared to left PK the buds look a little airy Both of them still aren’t ready yet and have a while to go to fatten up but I think they’ll get there fairly quickly although I don’t think the quality will be as good as the GC We shall see how they go I will cut the GC and store in a box to dry later on tonight

zenmaster I have taken the majority of the leaves off the GC upfront now and I plan to cut her down next week on week 10, her buds look fully done maybe could go an extra week however I don’t want the thc to decrease so next week she gets the chop As for the 2 PKs at the back I have been doing defoliation throughout the week every time the leaves yellow, dry and die I remove them, the PKs look like they still have a while left to go

zenmaster Main update for this week is the GC at the fron has fattened up a lot !! Almost 80% of pistils are amber, top cola looks ready but just waiting for some of the lower bud sites to catch up, few weeks left to harvest for her As for the 2 PKs at the back the left one all budsites are purple, extremely purple ! However the PK on the right all budsites are only green so that’s strange to see, as far as growth even though the left is 10 days behind the right, the growth cycle is roughly the same This past week I have been doing lots of defoliation to all 3 plants

zenmaster This week I have defoliated some of the fan leaves towards the bottom of the plants, leaving the all the top ones still attached The GC is getting closer and close to harvest time Meanwhile the 2 PKs are still still in early budding stages

zenmaster Lots of growth this week ! The GC upfront is starting to fatten up on its bud sites The PKs at the back are stretching a lot but they’re finally developing bud sites which is good ! Done some light defoliation on lower leaves, plan to do more defoliation next week

zenmaster Lots of stretching going on with the 2 PKs at the back unfortunately, the tops of the colas are starting to look a little dry/burnt so I have raised the light back up a little which won’t help the stretching but at least will prevent any burning The GC at the front is doing great and definitely will finish sooner so once she’s done then there’ll be some more room for the 2 PKs at the back

zenmaster The plants are all looking great ! Very very bushy I have lowered the light as there’s lots of stretching going on and since lowering the light there’s been bursts more growth So far so good

zenmaster Third week for 2nd PK left corner, quite a bit of stretching going on but I can’t lower the light because of the GC so I have added some more plant bends to the long branches

I accidentally snapped a branch on the GC but I put a plant bend on it for support and the branch seems too look okay but I’ll keep an eye on it The GC is looking great, bud sites are shooting pistils and looking good And as for the PK still looking good and very very bushy, not much to say on this update other than they’re all looking very well fingers crossed things stay going good !

As for the 2nd PK she’s opening up healthy and looking great, added some Mylar around her to expose lower branches to the light ——— First PK is very bushy, added some bamboo sticks to open her up GC is already shooting pistils out of bud sites and growing rapidly !

zenmaster The GC looks super healthy, very big and branching out towards the Mylar sheets around the side, slight bending training to the top cola The PK is very strange, it looks like it has 3 main nodes, one of them is doing better than the other 2, but still quite strange ——— 2nd PK is looking a lot better, opened up her 3rd set and showing the 4th set

zenmaster This is week 1 of the second Purple Kush, the leaves look a bit dry and burnt, the same thing happened with my first PK so I’m wondering if it’s a genetic issue or if the soil is a bit too hot for the seedling, not entirely sure but hopefully it’s not a big problem ——— As for the first PK it’s so strange, it’s hard to see but it looks like it might be growing 2 main cola steps, I’ve never seen growth like this so it’s really hard to tell what’s happening but as long as she’s growing that’s all that matters The GC is great, lower nodes are growing outwards thanks to my mylar sheets I’ve circled around her

710seth You need drainage if you don't already have any in your pots. Runoff is pretty crucial unless you're using organic soil. Considering 3 out of 3 of your plants are all growing weird as fuck, I'd guess you're doing something similar to all of them that is making them not grow. Genetics is usually a "okay this one plant is being weird must be genetics" but when your whole tent is weird it's you or something you're using or doing. If they don't grow as big as they need to in a couple weeks start over, it's gonna be a waste of time. They love to get stunted when they're being weird like this

zenmaster So I’m using water only no nutrients, canna terra professional soil, all my previous plants have been fine, the Gelato Cake (3rd plant) is growing fine nothing weird about it, super healthy growth, it’s only the 2 purple kush strains at the back that look a little strange, I have tried purple kush before and had problems with this specific strain, so it’s more likely a strain issue because I’m doing the same process with the gelato cake and that one is growing healthy and rapidly

zenmaster NEED ADVICE !!!! So the Purple Kush is looking so weird !!! There’s no main cola growing up, it has like 4 little leaves growing from the side, and has the big rounded ruderalis looking leaves, I have no idea what’s going on, I’m not sure if the seed is just a mutant because the 2nd PK is starting to open up its leaves and look normal but this one is growing extremely weird, if anyone has any advice on this if it’s going to be a problem in the long run or if it’s just a mutant any advice would be great thank you !!!! ——— As for the second PK she’s looking healthy opened up and showing 2nd set of leaves And for the Gelato Cake I added Mylar sheets around to let the lower branch nodes start to grow outwards which is already showing and the GC just looks great super healthy and growing rapidly !

zenmaster After 2 seeds failed, 3rd time lucky and the 2nd Purple Kush has come up through the soil, I gently removed the seed and a few hours later she opened up and showing signs of first set of leaves !!! ——— The first Purple Kush is the last 3 images and it doesn’t look too good, the first set of leaves were small, dried and shrivelled, the second set of leaves the 3 pointers love very close to ruderalis with the round leafs and the 3rd set is coming through but it’s only one leaf that’s come through, will keep a close eye on this one I’m not sure if somethings wrong with this one or if it’s just a mutation ?? ——— The Gelato Cake however though is doing amazing ! Bright beautiful leaves, currently working on its 3rd set 5 pointers and no issues at all

The Purple Kush is really small still and the second set of leaves aren’t fully through yet, the first set are still small and look a bit dried ——— The seed for the 2nd Purple Kush didn’t germinate, I tried putting another seed in water and tissue it cracked open but then stopped growing, I’m trying to germinate another Purple Kush seed hopefully will have better luck 3rd time round ugh

zenmaster 1st plant photo is the PK which popped up yesterday 2nd plant photo is the GC which popped up today !! 3rd PK still hasn’t come up from soil yet, I hope she pops up soon !

zenmaster The PK with the long taproot has popped up out of soil, I removed the shell stuck to the leaves The other PK & GC have not popped up from the soil yet, hopefully will see them soon !!

zenmaster I have put 2 x Purple Kush auto seeds and 1 x Gelato Cake auto seed into water which was left for 24 hours. All 3 seeds sank to the bottom, then they have been put into paper towels and humidity bags. All 3 had cracked open on the first day, the second day tap roots appeared and now on the third day I have planted all 3 into soil. 1 of the PK autos taproot has grown very long and I have high hopes, the second PK and the GC autos taproots don’t look very long at all, but now I have planted them I am hoping all 3 pop up and break soil soon ! Next update will be when they break soil :)
