Day: 137
Totals are in... Flower: 10.5oz Trim: 4oz Not bad, but I was hoping for more. Also most of the flowers were airy and not compact. I feel that was the lights. So first grow is in the can. I learned sooo much. Thank you to everyone that offered advice along the way. Next grow coming very soon.

Day: 132
**Breakdown day** Time to breakdown everything and get it all cleaned and prepped for the next grow. I’ll probably get things half done tonight, and finish tomorrow. The clones are rocking it in the makeshift box I made. Funny thing...no filter and all of a sudden your basement is filled with the smell of plants 😂 Really need to settle on a light. Any suggestions for a 4x4 that is no more than say $700? I really liked the Gavita I saw. Damn thing would fill the whole tent but it’s over $1,000 so it’s out. Would it be better to build one?

Day: 131
**Final Harvest Day** I now know why people buy those auto trim devices. That would make life sooooo much easier. Holy hell. Harvesting was something I clearly under estimated 😂 So looking like next grow may be Northern Lights and Purple Kush. Not that I’m excited for the PK, but it’s the only strain I have with like flower times. Northern Lights is 55 days and PK is 55-60. Everything else is in the 65+ range. Really wish I was able to get that 4th NL clone. But in reality I would have needed 5 since 1 needs to reset the mother. Ohh well. Live and learn. So I’ll likely go with 2 x 2 (left side one strain and right side the other). One thing I have to say about these Blue Dream’s...HOLY useable sugar leaves and WOW the sheer volume of resin is crazy. Soooo sticky. This strain is more of a day time daily use kind (10% THC & 10% CBD). I look forward to really having a chance to grow this out in the whole tent with proper training. One thing harvesting has taught me is the sheer importance of training and thinning the canopy. I have soo many little buds I’m dealing with due to that lack of training due to vacation. Had these been solid trained where all sites could have gone vertical in the light, this would have been a sick harvest.

Day: 130
Well today was a bust. Didn’t get any time to harvest. So pushing until tomorrow. Good news though, my nova decarboxilator came in yesterday. Ph: 6.40 Temp: 65 TDS: 187

**Harvest Day 4** ...well not really... Needed to take the night off from trimming. Happy wife happy life right? 😉 I plan to knock out the last 2 plants tomorrow and I did check on the Blue Dreams and they are fine and haven’t even decimated the fan leaves yet so should be fine. Humidity feels a tad high in that tent, see graph below. As you can see when I added more fresh cuts the humidity went up and has been dropping. I opened one of the vent holes right behind the fan so it would pull in air from the room (35% is what I have the room dehumidifier set at) Question: Trim...if you toss it in a paper bag, should I set that bag inside the drying tent? Ph: 6.40 Temp: 62 TDS: 190

Day: 128
**Harvest Day 3** After a disappointing day 2 (low yielding Purple Kush), I’m going to try and finish the Strawberry Amnesia tonight. I am a tad bit concerned that something isn’t right in the drying tent. There is an ever so slight hay smell (which I read is bad), but I have made sure my parameters are good and I’m circulating air and venting moisture etc. so not sure what to think there. Because I don’t have a net to use to dry the clippings I spread them out on the bottom of the tent, hopefully that isn’t the issue. Anyways....time for another round of how long can this take 😂 Ph: 6.42 Temp: 60 TDS: 202

Day: 126
**Harvest Day 1** Tonight I learned...this is going to take much longer than I thought 😂 My goal was to clear the tops of all 4 plants. What I accomplished? The top of 1 plant 😂 That Strawberry Amnesia has sooo many stems to harvest and it smells wonderful. One thing I noticed, the big stretcher was definitely the Strawberry. It was all the tall reachers. Ph: 6.50 Temp: 63 TDS: 237 For size reference, the tent I’m drying in measures 24x24x48

Day: 125
**Flush Day 2** Decided to wait another day to harvest. I see more evidence of the plants pulling from the fan leaves, plus I had a super long day at work and am beat 😂 Ph: 5.87...Added Ph^ since it dropped so much in 1 day Temp: 62 TDS: 222

**Flower Day 52** So took a few trich shots to figure out where I am. I took 2 pics from each plant. Below is the order... Purple Kush Blue Dream Blue Dream Strawberry Amnesia So...thoughts? Ph: 5.89 Temp: 66 TDS: 1134

Day: 119
** Flower Day 51 ** Well as I figured it looks like the Purple Kush is finished at the prime nodes right under the lights. The first few trichs are the purple kush. So here is my question.... Based on what you are seeing...what would you do? Would you chop the Purple Kush with no flush, would you start your flush in a few days (say Saturday) or just ride it out until the rest finish and harvest together and let it just end where it ends? Ph: 5.97 Temp: 64 TDS: 1117

Day: 118
**Flower Day 50** Quite the ph drop over night. Added 50ml Ph^, I’ll check it in the morning and if it hasn’t come up enough I’ll add then. I expect that the TDS will drop when the ph is back in the range. Ph: 5.3 Temp: 62 TDS: 1124

*Water Change Day* *Flower Day 49* Depending how the next week goes this may have been the final nutes Change. Have to decide if any other week is gonna be needed and also have to decide if I chop the top and then see if the bottoms of the plants ripen any more after the flush. Down to the final few weeks either way. Ph: 5.64 Temp: 63 TDS: 1119

Day: 116
Didn’t get to my WC today, so will have to be tomorrow. TDS dropped so I’m good there.

Day: 115
TDS on the rise, Ph in a good place, tomorrow I’m doing a WC because this week the behavior has been weird. Ph: 5.84 Temp: 64 TDS: 1119
6 years ago
Day: 114
So these trichs are sooooo sticky. It’s like glue when you touch it. So TDS stalled last night and ph still drifting. I added ph^ and will be doing a WC this weekend. Fun fact, the iPhone X has dual cameras and when using the 60x lense for my phone, it only covers one of them so just as you get to focus the other lens sees leaves and swaps. So I’ll have to devise something to keep that from happening. Ph: 5.59 Temp: 64 TDS: 1100
6 years ago
Day: 113
So apparently my theory was wrong...TDS still dropped tonight even though I had added Ph^ yesterday. Other than that, can’t wait for my new loop for my phone to arrive, which it’s due to arrive on Monday. Will be nice to be able to take pictures of the trichs. Also it’s soo hard to get to a couple prime buds to check with the loop that pictures are seemingly the best way to go. Ph: 5.64 Temp: 65 TDS: 1100

Day: 112
So here comes a good test tonight. So ph is falling still and so is TDS, so I added more ph^. If tomorrow the TDS jumps that should confirm if it effects TDS. I did try testing it directly and it registered TDS then went to - - - - so guessing it didn’t like the Base liquid much. Other than that, things look healthy and coming right along. Clones are doing GREAT and will be ready for the next grow. Ph: 5.53 Temp: 64 TDS: 1137

Day: 109
Ph is adjusting, added a touch more Ph^ just to give me a comfortable buffer for the drift. The TDS climbed again and not really sure what’s up with that, but on a positive note, the foam caused by the sugars have finally calmed down. Ph: 5.67 Temp: 63 TDS: 1129
6 years ago
Day: 108
TDS is up and Ph is not quite as high as I would like. I added more Ph^ to get into a range I know will last until the next WC. Got good pics tonight, wish I had a better way to get pics of the best buds in the middle directly under the lights. Looking forward to the next grow when I can really scrog the hell out of them and get a really even canopy. Still researching lights... Question: When it’s time to flush, do I add FloraKleen before or after I turn things over to just RO and no nutes? Ph: 5.55 Temp: 64 TDS: 1100
6 years ago
Day: 107
Things are moving along. Looks like the damn sugars are causing foam in the res. Ph dropped overnight as well. Added some PH^ to get it back in the range. Ph: 5.4 Temp: 64 TDS: 1085

Day: 106
****Water Change Day**** ****Flower Day 38**** Changed out the water today, it was a bit early but I wanted to get the sugars rolling. I’ll run this mix for a week and a half hopefully so it will all work out. Trichomes are clear and sparkling like little diamonds. Question: since some areas are in massive light and some are behind, do you just cut when the furthest along are ready and the rest is what it is? **Before WC** Ph: 5.58 Temp: 66 TDS: 979 **After WC** Ph: 5.83 Temp: 66 TDS: 1090

Day: 105
Ph is back in a safe zone after adding the ph^ last night. Was able to really look at the trics tonight and finally paid attention and can now see the little bulbs. Some of these are looking soooo nice😎 Can’t imagine how this would be looking had I been here to stay after the training on the SCROG and if I had solid light in all 4 corners. Ph: 5.64 Temp: 67 TDS: 997

Day: 104
Nice drop in nutes today. Guess those added lights are working. I added a little Ph^ to keep things in the right range. Was moving and trimming and noticed a distinctly new scent on the Strawberry Amnesia. It was on my fingers. A very citrusy smell. Can’t wait to see what that one is like fully cured. Ph: 5.55 Temp: 68 TDS: 1009
6 years ago
Day: 103
So the lights seem to be fine, temp up maybe 1 degree and humidity is down a few %. All in all good so far. Ph keeps falling a little each day. Kind of puzzled on that one. It was sooo stable for soo long and to see it fall of a bit each day makes me wonder. Is that normal at this point? I included the stats since the WC in the pics. Ph: 5.58 Temp: 68 TDS: 1051
6 years ago
Day: 102
Added a 2nd fan finally, also added 2 x double CFL fixtures to the ends of the tent. See what this does. Hoping it doesn’t add too much heat and also helps those areas. Still looking into my lighting situation for the next grow. May upgrade to a large panel. Need to figure out a good way to move that filter out but need to vent outside so can’t just swap it out easily. Don’t want to raise the ambient temp of the room so I pull in cool air to the tent. Ph: 5.62 Temp: 68 TDS: 1060
6 years ago
Day: 101
Lots of hairs changing colors, getting ready for the next evolution of these buds. Going to add some CFLs to help augment lighting. Question... Tomorrow is WC day, although I had a late change last week so it’s only been 5 days and TDS is high, but the mix of nutes changes at next WC. Do I just do a WC so I can get the sugars in or push off the WC until that TDS comes down a bit. Ph: 5.68 Temp: 67 TDS: 1069
6 years ago
Day: 100
**Flower Day 32** Well... TDS keeps climbing, although I kind of expect that to stop. The water level was rather high after the last WC, so it’s been working it’s way down and today it reached the ATO sensor so I expect TDS to start dropping. Everything is looking good, leaves are all frosting up, hairs are turning reddish brown, and things all look good. Is it worth it to add some CFL near the corners to supplement lighting at this point? Ph: 5.79 Temp: 67 TDS: 1081

Day: 99
Everything is looking frosty ❄️ So back to a question from yesterday... Is it worth the time to really clear out the lower branches that are not seeing light anyways? Ph: 5.87 Temp: 67 TDS: 1060

With things nice and stable and appears the stretch is over... How crazy should I be trimming the stuff way below the canopy that aren’t even getting light? Ph: 5.92 Temp: 69 TDS: 1042

Day: 97
**WC Day** Ran low on nutes and my replacement gallon hasn’t arrived so I made a trip to the local hydro store. When I got there... Old guy: You made it! (I called ahead) Me: yup, just needed some flora bloom Old guy: you use it for canna...shit I’m not supposed to ask that Me: my oregano and basil grow vary nicely with this. We both had a good laugh 😂 I turned up the nutes a bit as the last couple days these ladies made a sizable dent in the TDS. ~Before WC~ Ph: 5.53 Temp: 67 TDS: 753 ~After WC~ Ph: 5.83 Temp: 68 TDS: 1009

Day: 96
Water change was delayed today as time got away from me so that will be tomorrow. Started a thread on rollitup about adding additional Viparspectra and in came the elitists. Love when someone tells you, “your lights are barely good enough for cloning” and yet somehow you still have frosty buds developing 😂 Ph: 5.60 Temp: 68 TDS: 764
6 years ago
Day: 95
Saw a decent down tick of nutes today. Decided to hold off a day on the water change to stretch those nutes a bit further. Adjusted the bends a hair to improve lighting. Pretty sure next round I want to double up on lighting purely from a coverage standpoint. Everything in the center is growing like crazy and have amazing bud development but the corners are weak. Ph: 5.62 Temp: 68 TDS: 770

Day: 94
Things are looking good, flowers are coming along, and my leans have not snapped branches. So all in all, good week 😂. TDS hasn’t been dropping nearly as fast as I would have suspected, but plants are healthy so just making note. Ph: 5.66 Temp: 69 TDS: 806

Day: 93
Bud sites are really plumping up. Loving the progress. Question: in the zoomed in pics, the ones where the hairs are changing color, is this normal? It seems to be the only flower doing this. Ph: 5.68 Temp: 67 TDS: 809

Day: 92
Things are looking good, luckily the bent mains haven’t snapped so I am bending them right 😂 Question: mothers....soil or coco? Ph: 5.75 Temp: 67 TDS: 819

Day: 91
**Flower Day 23** 🎅🏼🎄 Merry Christmas Everyone 🎄🎅🏼 Lots of good growth, got additional leaning in on those mains. Did notice one of the really good looking flowers has some color changes occurring in the pistels? Just the tips and seems to only be happening on 1 flower. Ph: 5.80 Temp: 65 TDS: 819

Day: 89
**Flower Day 21** Everything is looking healthy. Was able to use a Yo-Yo to pull one of the tall mains over to get it more light. Buds are developing nicely as well. Ph: 5.99 Temp: 67 TDS: 819

**Flower Day 20** *Water Change Day* Fresh Nutes, plants looking healthy as hell, buds coming along, removed some upper fan leaves to let some light shine down on lower bud sites. Ph: 6.0 Temp: 67 TDS: 800

Day: 87
**Flower Day 19** Things are coming along, took out a dozen or so fan leaves to let light get to lower buds. I also pulled the filter forward to help light the area. Added in some raw sugar today (plan was to add that at water change but didn’t have any). Moved the large mains over leaning them more to move toward getting some light. TDS meter came in today. Looks like they are up about 100 ppm in 4 days. Can’t wait to see how frosty these girls look next week. Ph: 5.68 Temp: 68 TDS: 903

Day: 86
**Flower Day 18** Barely avoided a heart breaking disaster tonight. I was trying to see if I could use my lollipops to bend the tallest one into the light I apparently was overly aggressive (but just) as a few min after I secured both downward pressure as well as upward support I noticed the main branch folded. I quickly undid the wiring and supported it vertically. Luckily it didn’t snap or I may have lost the healthiest set of colas in the tent. Maybe I’ll get lucky and it will stop it from any additional stretch. On a positive note, I’m noticing sugar leaves are developing and getting covered in trics. I can’t wait to see how frosty these get. Any time I have to touch anything in the tent my fingers are instantly sticky. Another good note...my new TDS meter arrives tomorrow. I feel soo blind not know how they are doing on nutrient uptake. I’m not worried mind you, as the plants are healthy, the flowers are growing, and the crystals are forming. Ph: 5.71 Temp: 68 TDS: Broken Pen

Day: 85
Every time I open this tent the song, Welcome to the Jungle, plays in my head. The tallest “leaning” node is 4” from the top of the tent. God I hope it stops growing hahaha. New TDS meter will be here Friday so kind of flying blind right now. I really want the blue labs TDS/PH/Temp gauge that stays running at all times but at $225 it’s gonna have to wait. Is it worth removing fan leaves at the top to allow better light penetration at this point? Ph: 5.73 Temp: 67 TDS: Broken Pen

Day: 84
Moved the tall left ones on an angle, see if I can move them a tad more tomorrow. The flowers are starting to come along. Ph: 5.79 Temp: 66 TDS: Pen Broke, new one on order

Day: 83
Well the tall ladies on the left are officially taller than the light on the left side. Curious question...what happens to flowers that max out above the light but that have fan leaves under the lights? All kind of wondering now haha Can’t wait till next round when I will have more control over training. Ph: 5.88 Temp: 67 TDS: 984
6 years ago
Day: 82
*~Water Change Day~* Had to pin the tall ladies to the side of the tent as they finally made it to the light. Not sure what they will do now that they will be growing beyond the light. I also move the left light more toward the center. Ph: 5.68 Temp: 68 TDS: 953
6 years ago
Day: 80
So tonight I probably pulled out the final inch or so I can from the light on the left side. I also did some crimping of the mains to slow them down. Tried to limit the damage and only “just” got the crush in, so hope it’s enough to slow but not too much that it does ending damage. Ph: 5.51 Temp: 67 TDS: 935

Day: 78
Was expecting just a blah check params and call it a night. Then I noticed ALL kinds of hairs at the bud sites. Very exciting (considering this is my first grow). I guess for me it shows they are doing more than trying to touch my lights 😂. Ph: 5.55 Temp: 65 TDS: 941

Day: 76
Well those left side ladies are really trying to touch those lights. Trying to hold off on raising them till they are closer since they will reach if light moves away. Flower Day 3 Well got the 2nd net on. I also pulled some fan leaves to get some better light penetration. Bad part was I accidentally ripped a bud site off 🤬. Shit happens I guess. Rehung the lights again. This configuration makes it more difficult to direct the light but in the long run should give me max head space. I ran one set of leads to the outer bars and then used both cross bars on the other to give it direct vertical access. I swear I want to put 4 of these light in here and completely flood this tent with light but I realize there is diminishing returns etc. 😂. Will do another node check tomorrow and see how things are looking for completing the flip. Ph: 5.89 Temp: 68 TDS: 837

Still drinking 2 gallons a day but seems they have slowed on nutes again. Checked out the progress on flipping into flower and I “think” I’m starting to see signs (but I’ve never seen them flower so it’s a guess based on pics online). Took a few just for posterity. Ph: 5.89 Temp: 66 TDS: 992

***Flip Day*** Ok so spent about 2 hours cutting fan leaves, moving limbs around, cutting off low brush that is wasting energy. Looks very messy post cut but I hope that works itself out in a couple days. Was able to bring up some branches into the light and opened up the top to get light to the lower growth. Water change is under way and then I’ll be setting the flip. Ph: 5.75 Temp: 69 TDS: 527

Day: 60
Back from vacation and holy cow did these girls grow like CRAZY! 32g top off res is almost empty so that all worked as expected. MIL checked stats 1 time while I was away about midway and all numbers looked good. These ladies are sucking down about 2 gallons a day right now and have fully consumed the tent and I had to move the lights up. This stretch should be fun 😂! Tomorrow I’ll do a water change and flip these ladies into a 12/12 cycle and get this show on the road! Ph: 5.65 Temp: 68 TDS: 5.52

Last pictures for 10 Days! I’ve done all I can do, we ended up flying my mother-in-law in to house sit and watch our cats so she is going to keep general tabs on things while I am away and will call me if things go south. I’ll have her test the water every few days so I can walk her though things if need be. Now my mind is at ease.

Day: 50
Girls are doing well. Did a bunch more training tonight. Stats are great and the top off system is working like a champ. 2 more days to vacation...

Day: 49
These ladies are already filling this net in. By the time I get back from vacation it’s gonna be a full blown jungle😱 Parameters are stable as they have been and my auto topoff is in place and running (so I have a few days to make sure it works properly). I can almost relax and get ready to travel, but I still have to swap out totes for water for the mother plants. I feel I may have finally dialed in those damn cones.

Day: 48
So far they survived the scrog conversion. Did a water change tonight and tested my topoff to learn I’m Creating a siphon. So I need to get a clamp tomorrow to hold some pvc so I can keep the feed line above the top off res. Got my parameters all set. Busy night!

Day: 47
Got everything situated, My top off barrel is full, prepping for that WC in the next couple days. Need to add an air stone into that barrel to keep the water healthy. Got the scrog net in and wouldn’t you know it I cracked on of the mains. I wired it back together and tossed it a little rooting hormone. All I can do is hope that shoot survives. It’s all a learning process.

I was able to get my auto top off system in place today. Tomorrow I’ll do a water change and set the master level for the top off. My levels this week are the most stable they have been to date. Plants are doing really good, and water temps are dripping into high 60’s which is where I want it. Last night I forgot to plug my pump back in. When I found it off this morning and took my measurements the TDS dropped, guess they were really hungry over night and if you notice they are growing like crazy!
Day: 45
So today my Auto Top off system arrived. I’ll be putting that together. Going to feed it from a 32 gal can, which should get me through my vacation. So the question at hand is...to flip them tomorrow or not. I could ride out a few extra days since I leave on Friday for vacation and flip them mid week. Hmmm. Thoughts anyone? Based on the size. Based on @AlohaHaze’s thought about 1 to 3 growth rate, might be a good time to flip these ladies.
Day: 44
So apparently these ladies are up to 2 gallons per day now. Ph/TDS/and temps are stable. Growth is exploding. Beyond all the good, I found some holes in a few leaves. I only see them on 1 plant and I looked all over and I can’t find a single bug. So not sure if it’s insect damage or not.

Day: 43
Today was an interesting day. I have been keeping track of all the stats (water temp, ph, tds, air temp, humidity) and I decided to throw all that in Excel and make a cool set of graphs. Today I also ordered my Auto Topoff System to make sure I don’t run out of water while I’m on vacation. Water picked up. They drank 2 gallons in the past 24 hours opposed to the 1 gal per 24 hrs they have been drinking.

ClandestineWestOz Those girls are certainly filling out too. Looking healthy!
Ryikk Yeah these past few days have been crazy. They are taking off. My original plan was to switch them to flower this weekend, but I think I may wait till they are a bit bigger and I can toss down the scrog net.
Widdows420 Looking great! Curious if you have to worry about water temperature for your system.

Morning Ph: 6.09 TDS: 805 Temp: 72 Evening Ph: 6.13 TDS: 824 Temp: 70 Day 17 of Veg After 3 days it appears that these ladies are downing 1 gallon of water a day. And lowering the light has really set them in motion. The growth has been noticeable day to day.

AlohaHaze 👍🌱
AlohaHaze You’re system is in a good growth zone. Looks like they are drinking and eating by your stats. When she starts to drink more and the TDS rises then it’s time to think about topping up with nutes or a Rez change, at 35gl that can run into some money in nutrients. Keep up the great growing. Mahalo
Ryikk Thanks👍🏼 Tonight’s update will have some stat goodies.
Day: 41
That back left plant is really starting to take off. Things are looking good. Can’t wait till it’s ready for the scrog net and get this whole canopy filled.
AlohaHaze What is the back right? They all look good she’s just a little behind the other three. Also, what’s the hole size of you’re screen?
AlohaHaze Good net size for training. Have you done LST by tying down a branch to open up your canopy and get some light down in the middle. You can look at the structure and start the LST in the direction that you want it to grow and it’s weave in the net once it’s in place.
Ryikk Yeah did some training a couple days ago. The back right also grows sideways kind of, so wonder if that is affecting its vertical growth

Busy day, just got pics. Back to stats tomorrow.

AlohaHaze Looking good. I just finished my Harvest. First time cutting the tops and finishing the bottom sites for an additional 10 days and cut the rest down. My Amnesia loved it.
AlohaHaze Girls are loving the light. How much lower did you go? Goes without saying as they grow so should he height of the light. Keep it in that sweet spot and they’ll tank you for it.
Ryikk It is set at 24” now

Day: 39
Water Change Day Ph: 5.95 TDS: 780 Temp: 70 Made a few changes in the nutes to see how it effects things. Can always dial it up if necessary. I took @AlohaHaze’s advice and brought the lights down to about 24”. I also did some low stress training to help open the plants up and get them growing outward. Made a makeshift water level check out of a dowel rod. Made the measurements as I filled the system. Now I can track how much they are drinking. 1.5 weeks until vacation. Need to get my add back system in place and my auto water in the dirt pots for my mothers ASAP.

Widdows420 Are you keeping humidity low?
Ryikk Humidity is being helped by a dehumidifier in that room the tent sits in (my basement) and it’s set to 40%.
Day: 38
Evening Ph: 6.18 TDS: 1000 Temp: 72 Day 13 of Veg Plants are coming along nicely. Found a centipede trying to make a home under my reflective covers. When the lights came on today he probably felt like a vampire and was hiding. One thing that hit me today...looking at the back left plant (supposed to be Blue Dream), I almost wonder if I mixed it up with the Purple Kush because the BIG ASS leaves look more like my Purple Kush Mother than my blue dream. If you look at my Mother Plants grow the Purple Kush is back right and Blue Dream is in the middle. I did a root check tonight and damn those roots are looking good!

Day: 37
Morning Ph: 6.16 TDS: 1000 Temp: 70 Evening Ph: 6.18 TDS: 1000 Temp: 72 Day 12 of Veg Well flipping the lights was clearly the right call. These ladies are moving right along. I took a peak at the roots and gotta say, most are crazy. The funny part was the one plant who’s basket was closest to the water has the smallest root system (and I’m sure you can tell which one that is as the plant is the smallest). Think that ones yield may be low if it doesn’t pickup the pace.
AlohaHaze The light can be lowered down, 6” at a time, until you reach 24”. If any discoloration or twisting happens on the leaves, raise the light back up 6”. This should be the height you maintain through the plant’s life cycle. Happy growing
AlohaHaze I’ve been as close as 18”, not recommended, you’ll have to start to be concerned with light stress from the intensity of the LEDs. It can lead to bleaching the top of the buds. They may be cooler than any other light but sometimes too much or closer isn’t always what we look for hence the term Sweet Spot.
Ryikk One guy I was following on YouTube said he bolts his lights to the ceiling and leaves them, which is why I have mine all the way up. Given the width do you feel it’s worth dropping the lights down and will that give me more growth (aka more intensity)?

Ryikk 18/6
Day: 35
Only a slight uptick in ph and tds today. Stats back tomorrow. All looks good. I did enable the bloom lights. See if these girls are ready to run.

Widdows420 What is your pump cycle schedule times for your hydro system?
Ryikk Currently I run my pump 24/7. I know it’s not required, but I have other things I’m working on.
Widdows420 No your fine, just wondering if you were particular about your pump settings. I ran my pump 24/7 once my girls were old enough last grow.

Morning Ph: 6.15 TDS: 990 Temp: 70 Evening Ph: 6.13 TDS: 985 Temp: 70 Day 9 of Veg Roots are really growing at a good rate now. Can’t wait to see these girls in the scrog net.

AlohaHaze Looks great! You have some nutrient splatter on your last pic. No worries just don’t thinks it’s a deficiency 😝. Any movement or success with increasing head height? Those girls are gonna shoot up here soon. How many nodes do you have? Also once you have your head height where you want it you might want to start finding out where you’re sweet spot is for the height of your lights.
Ryikk How many nodes? On the plant? Not sure. Still a newbie so some of this is learn as I go 😂
Ryikk As for growth, they are spreading out and after topping them the new growth is developing nicely. I switched the last sets of light on today (my lights have veg and bloom) so want to see if they just want more light. I went veg only at first to let them have a more gentle transition

Morning Ph: 6.15 TDS: 1000 Temp: 67 Evening Ph: 6.13 TDS: 960 Temp: 70 Day 8 of Veg Everything is moving along. Water change didn’t kill them so apparently I did that right 😂. I do need to figure out a better solution because I ended up having to lift the lid to get the shop vac hose in there, which won’t really be possible once the scrog net is set. Thinking of making an adapter where I can connect a 1/2” hose to it with a screen over the end to stop it from attacking the roots.
AlohaHaze Are you worried with buildup in your individual site tanks? Unless you have an slime issue in the tanks I wouldn’t worry about it. You Rez temps are low enough to discourage any bad algae and good for dissolved oxygen (DO). I use hydrogaurd up until flush and it’s always been good to my girls. Putting a hose in your root zone is only a picture for disaster. Happy growing.
Ryikk Yeah I agree and would rather not have to risk the roots health. I don’t currently have a worry about buildup too much (but it’s still early). We are headed into winter also, so water temps should remain low.
AlohaHaze I clean the Rez outside the tent with every change and it is fine for a single Grow. I sterilize after each grow, it’s all about cleanliness for me.

Water Change Day! Topped these girls tonight. Their growth rate has been speeding up, its noticeable about every other day.

AlohaHaze Nice growth. Your chart helps greatly. If it’s working don’t mess with it. If you put your filter and motor outside the tent with a rigid 6” duct that you can bend then you can pull the smell and heat to the outside of the tent freeing up some valuable headspace for growth. I can’t post a pic here so if you search for the PH chart for nutrient absorption it will point you to the possible nutrient deficiency’s that can occur at diff PH levels. Everything happens quickly in Hydro. Happy Growing
Ryikk Added a pic of the outside of the tent. I have the mother plants connected to the same Y (they both have their own exhaust fans) and then it connects to the vent in my glass block, venting scrubbed air and heat outside. When I was just venting the tent into the room the ambient temps stayed too high, so needed to get it out. I can’t come out of the top of the big tent as it’s right against the ceiling. I need to clean up the junction but haven’t had time for that just yet.
Day: 31
Ph: 6.55 @ 69 degrees TDS: 925 Tomorrow is water change day. Think I may tone down the mix just a tad. The ph levels stayed below 6.5 until today. Things are progressing along nicely. Pretty sure I’ll be topping them as well tomorrow.

AlohaHaze PH drift is good. Track its drift speed and if consistent then adjust the day before you think it will go out of level that you’re comfortable with. What size and type of light are you using? Temps are good for ambient but what’s you’re Rez temp for the nuts? For mine I like it at 68 - 72. Cooler feet and warmer canopy 78 - 79 during light hours and no more than 5 degrees difference for off light hours. Can be more if you’re looking for inducing color in you’re buds which will also affect the production of your good stuff like CBN, CBD, THCA. Keep up the good work and keep us appraised of your progress. Will you be using LST, Supper cropping, SCROG or SOG?
AlohaHaze Sorry just read you’re profile where you listed the lights you’re using. My only thought I have left for you is my last comment about training methods you’ll use cuz your gonna get some tremendous growth with the system and will quickly outgrow your space. I use a 4x4 with two plants and train them to fill the whole space using the SCROG method producing a nice even canopy with buds. No way is correct but that’s what works for me. Takes some effort during the last few weeks of veg and flowering but well worth it wrt yields.
Ryikk Lights: 2 x VIPARSPECTRA Reflector-Series V600 600W Full Spectrum LED Grow Light. I’ll be adding a scrog net, already topped them.

AlohaHaze Amnesia can be temperamental with PH and strength of nutes. I’ve found that they like a stable PH of 5.8 that floats .2 above or below that range and lower PPM’s throughout the life cycle. They have a longer bloom period than Indicas so they eat slower for the extra weeks. Happy growing 🌱
Ryikk Thanks for the insight. First grow so learning a lot. This first week I saw a slow and steady ph uptick. I started with a lower ph this week but I want to drop it even more next week. (My RO/DI is around a ph of 5). So reducing the amount of PH^

And we are up and running. DIY air manifold and in place of air stones are soaker hose rings. Instead of letting little beads of water out into the ground it’s letting TONS of micro air bubbles in a full ring around the container. 700 gph pump in recycling 25 gallons of water for a few days to make sure there are no leaks then I’ll swap it out with RO/DI water and add all the nutrients etc ready for week 1 of Veg. Widdows420 Interested in your setup. Where’d you find it? How much?
Ryikk I designed and built it myself. Never worked with PVC or any plumbing and managed to pull it off. The bins are from Costco (12 gallon and heavy duty), the rest came from Lowe’s and Home Depot (minus the pumps which came from Amazon). The tent and upper equipment are also off amazon.
Widdows420 It’s beautiful, good design. What lights did you purchase?

Ryikk They are from sensors called SensorPush. It reports data back to your phone. Each device can hold like 2 weeks worth of data and when your phone is in range it offloads it to your phone. They make a gateway so you can access from anywhere. Get them on Amazon.
