Everyone’s rooted. 100% success rate. Have come so far in terms of what to use to get this kind of success even with horrible cuttings. Thanks everyone 🙏

Big_Homie_Buds

Big_Homie_Buds Any advice on mother plants or cloning? Looking to get into it but I don’t wanna start blind.

a Joe grow

a Joe grow @ big_homie_buds Cloning is a straightforward process. Start with clone gel or homemade clone gel (people use honey, aloe Vera gel, and Hamitic acid); make sure you have Myco ready and a heat mat/humidity dome. Then comes sourcing your plant. You were looking for a straight stalk with a stable head. Roughly .5-1ft in terms of size. Look at the thickness. When cutting a clone the initial cut doesn't have to be 45 degrees, but your final amount should be. After this point, lightly break the outer cell membrane to promote root growth. Dip your clone in clone gel/my co, then plop in the seed starter. Your plant loves humidity/heat; during the cloning process, a heat mat is a must for everything. Else is just making life easier. Note: you can take smaller clones, but there isn't a point to it.

Day: 668

Critical, purple queen, and Royal highness clones are recovering after I had to go out of town for a day and they wilted pretty bad due to drying out. They’ll survive.

jamiesworld

jamiesworld Yeah I know the boxes etc are cheap online but I get so much more enjoyment out of making something and having more input and control over it. I have done through a few different containers etc and designs. Everyone and their needs are different.

Day: 666

Ended up velcroing some of my cheap lights under some spare shelves so I could let my smaller plants not get burned up from my entirely too powerful lights.
