Clone shots. I noticed two branches on different plants that are starting to turn down and droop a little from becoming heavy. Both are bottom branches. They just randomly both turned today. Hopefully i don’t see this more as we get closer to our full moon cycle Saturday. I know heavy buds are good but I also heard that a droopy plant isn’t healthy. Luckily there are only two branches doing it rn I’ve been watering them like a son of a gun, I’m surprised my leaves are not droopin. This year I have been good about not letting my pots dry out completely. I just don’t want my colony of bacteria that I’ve helped build up get fried by the sun.

Spent 30 min calibrating my ph meters. I’ll feel better about taking my ph measurements later. I bought the yellow one on Amazon, cheap option ( doesn’t even have a brand name). When I first started to grow I found the red one while hiking with my dog at one of my favorite places to hike with him. It’s called little Yosemite, Sunol ca, and it’s honestly just like a little Yosemite, CA. We escape hot days along the cool shaded creek here. Follow my dogs Instagram account @greatnessbud, and my grow account is @EORGANIC_Genetics

Here are two of the seeders. I’ve began a numbering system since I plan on jarring all of them separate. I also started to use the two ph meters I’ve had and never used. I also still haven’t had to use ph down or up. I have been watering my 5.5 tea brews down by 3/4 by adding fresh water . It makes my tea last longer so far so great

To battle the heat this year I’ve been cooling down my mediums with water ( only molasses water and tea water. I haven’t used plain water since flowering began.) I haven’t had one dry day during flower yet. The average high temp for them has been around 80f. P.S. My cats are digging the shade that the plants cast, check out the shadows of the cola’s! And when my 96y old grandma came over the other day she seen the plants from the back window then says “ looks like you don’t need to buy a Christmas tree this year” . I’m almost positive she knows what they are😅😂

Shots of the clones. I found 2 caterpillars this morning which means I’m going to spray my one dosing of thuricide today hopefully. I usually spray when I first notice them. Thuricide is an organic caterpillar killer. Sprayed at this early during the flowering stage shouldn’t effect the smoking quality. Cheers to the first day of a new week🍻 Update: sprayed thuricide on each plant

This is 36 hr brewed tea. I used less of the ingredients in my tea this time but changed a few things such as putting a small hose on the secondary pump at the bottom to create more agitation as well as how I tied the tea bag down. Instead of letting it rest on the side I made it so the tea bag stayed in the middle. The pics are all of the clones again. I’ve been watering heavy trying to keep em moist

I found out that brewing compost tea with a pillow case may work better then just dumping everything in . I received the top foam on this batch earlier then I ever had. This is 24 hrs, I plan on feeding my plants this tomorrow. Im hoping the pillowcase keeps most of the bigger particles out while I also put a polyester fabric around the inlet of my pump as a secondary filtration to protect the drip systems flow

FLOWERING CLONES SHOTS. I saved the best one for the last pic😅 It might be one of the sativa dominant hybrid clones or something I’ve done to it. I’ve been tending the rabbits with these girls and for the most part I haven’t dealt with any snapped necks 🤣 mice and men is a great book

Got my drip system installed 90%. Thursday I plan on testing it at 100%. I have the compost tea brewing. I ran an airline from the turtle tank around the metal shed so I could run a remote bubbler. I never imagined having a drip system but here I go. It’s actually very affordable doing it myself.

HeritageSecretGarden Nice can’t wait to see what they look like in 5 weeks
Chief Smokalot Thanks and same here. I’m hoping they start stacking some pistols. My garden this year is actually behind compared to my other grows around the same time. Time will tell tho🤞🏽
HeritageSecretGarden Well either way they look great I’m always envious of great outdoor grows cause Az is tough summer is fn hot as hell and winter is a gamble either mild but you still have to start indoors cause light source is short plus some winters are freezing and fall is still super warm so you have to veg inside as well. if you want to do something like you got two options one start early spring get them big enough to hopefully with stand the heat plus hopefully they have some shades or have a great air controlled green house

Did some major pruning on 3 seedlings. I cut off a lot of potential bud sites towards the bottom to promote growth to the tops. I essentially “ lollipop’ed” my plants. I also got a new flowering fert. I believe I should’ve started to prune my plants at least 2 weeks ago maybe. So maybe I have to remember that for the end of July next year.

HeritageSecretGarden Looking great Chief 😎
Chief Smokalot Thanks a whole oz. ton😉. winter is coming 😂 aka gets ready to harvest.. i heard it’s gonna be a tough one too… good thing we need it
Day: 124
Definitely starting flower on most of them. I decided to take some aerial shots with the drone opposed to taking close ups of F1. You could see the two different sets of plants that I have receive two different times of direct light. I’m excited to compare and contrast between the two later
2 years ago
Chief Smokalot This is more for comparison ( big picture) , I have a prior fly over from earlier this year, I plan on doing two more separate aerial shots probably once they start stacking some. None of my plants are above 5 ft. I was attempting to keep them low as possible this year to encourage earlier flowering
Chief Smokalot Thanks troy. I could spot which ones are becoming lighter then the others as well as being able to identifying the canopies of each. Plus it helps me get a easier idea on which ones are too close to its neighboring pot. My general rule for that is to not let the shadow of a plant cast onto a neighboring plant.
Day: 119
My plants are looking like they have Initiated flowering. I could be wrong though, I was anticipating at least 20 more days of veg. Check em out and I’d be happy to hear what you think. I’m also interested to hear from any California outdoor growers so I could possibly compare and contrast between other grows of the same area. Happy Saturday!

FatBuds101 Are there hairs coming out of the top in middle? Most plants will show sex when they are mature, I’m in Chicago and only one of mine have started flowering. I’d guess pre flower if anything, they maybe starting there stretch so feed em somthing higher in phosphorus and potassium and calcium to help stack. Looking good tho.
Chief Smokalot I enjoy earlier flowering, the weather/ morning dew sometimes becomes a problem beginning of October. I used to buy this organic high pho’s bay Guano on Home Depot’s website but now I can’t find that product anywhere. I’m thinking that it was one of those companies that collected the guano inhumanly. Hey thanks for your input @fatBud. I’ve been loading them up with n-p-k since they were able to consume. I think some people get carried away with “ K during flower” yes the plant needs more K during flower but there are a lot of people out there that deprive their plants of K when biology states that the plant requirers all 3 + to survive. But thank you for reminding me to buying some organic high K fert

Day: 111
I began to retie 2 of the seeders today. I’m loving the progress of this LST, It blows my mind that some branches are literally longer then it’s main stem. When i harvest I’ll try to leave the branches connected on a few so I could photograph the skeleton of a couple of the plants. The stems of the tops have this nice green new growth color, plus the branches are noticeable stronger already compared to the plants in my garden last year. So hopefully I don’t have any droopy plants but if buds become that fat then so be it. I watered with that tea today, it smelt like someone’s breath that never heard of floss. I had to take a shower after I watered. I’m loving every minute of life and trying to make the most of it as it flies by. I spotted two bugs getting it on while taking pics, and my cat Enkidu who wonders why I pay attention to plants and not him, they’re loving life as well.

Here’s the 5 seedlings surrounding the one clone. They are beginning to become out of control but all the branches are filling out. I believe I plan on letting them ride naturally for another month then I’ll try to lollipop all of them to get ready for flower. I have 50g of tea brewing on deck that I might give to them today or tomm. I put some old yogurt in this batch of tea( apparently it’s good for them). Today’s another great day, and I’m thankful

HeritageSecretGarden Damn brother they look great and looks like quite the trim party in the coming future 😎
Chief Smokalot Thanks gromie. Oh yeah. I do use the big model of the salad spinner trimmer but it still takes time. Although I do find it relaxing to keep myself busy. The native tribes fished and farmed the land for food but ore importantly they fished and cropped fields as a form of meditation to maintain healthy minds
gpurps Looking awesome 👍👊 I found my first trimming ever last month very relaxing and grounding. Great to use my hands for something other than typing on a keyboard. Can see how it helped them mentally.

Moved all the cannabis and tomatoes to the lawn today. I’m not sure if I’ll keep them all this way. I watered after I moved them since yesterday was a dry cycle day. I should fertilize again tomorrow, it’s been 8 days or so since their last soil topping

Day: 97
Got the seeders tapped down except for one. I ran out of the plant tape that I’ve been using. I had to repair a few branches this time around while performing LST. One that I damaged will heal and the other I decided to make into a clone. Some of these branches are as long and almost as thick as it’s own main stem. I think this is from me not holding back on the P-K as much during veg. ( N-P-K)

Day: 95
Time to tie the bitches down again. Here are the orange creamsicles from seed that have outgrown their LST tie down points so I’m going to pull them down again and spread em wide. I should also perform some LST on my clones but I will get to them after. I don’t want any of my plants getting tall due to the fact that taller plants receive ambient day light longer at the end of the day causing them to hold onto their veg phase while transitioning from veg to flower. I’ve learned this from my years of growing different size plants outdoors
2 years ago
Family Pharm Fluff Very nice with your experience do you recommend verging beyond 60 days or do u think it’s not a useful time application , I did a 90 day veg for the first time and the plant looks like it’s holding around a pound dry weight to my best judgement. From what I’ve seen I would recommend a longer veg period. Have you tried a longer veg period with less plants per square foot to see if yield is higher or lower, just looking for advice from experience
Chief Smokalot Thank you and I would say that these plants prefer having room to grow, allowing their roots to spread. I’ve noticed that once a plant spends too much time in a single pot that it is more susceptible to not being 100% healthy and thriving. The times that I started my outdoor plants way early indoor during winter did give me the most bud I ever harvested but that was when I grew untopped tree’s that took forever to finish flowering because they were receiving that ambient light I’m talking about. So this caused a drop in quality and perhaps it didn’t allow the plants to put as much weight on as they could’ve possible ( so quantity as well) I also enjoy a variety, even if the same strain if you’re planting from seed bcuz then you get different pheno’s of the same strain. Although if a seasoned veg plant is given all the space it requires and it is trained heavily and has even early flowering induced with light dep then you should receive a heavy yield.
Family Pharm Fluff Thank you so much for the info I greatly appreciate it

Last year I planted my seedlings months earlier then I did this year and I’m observing an equivalent amount growth from the same time of different years. I enjoy seeing differences in my own growing from adjusted techniques. What I believed to be a major helping hand this year is the constant weekly top soil feeds as well as the fermented whole seaweed I mixed into the mediums. Hopefully their rate of production doesn’t slow down too much as their roots run out of space in their pots. Anyways, I added that dr earths top soil yesterday along with a light water, today they’ll get a heavier water and tomorrow they’ll get a mist in the morning. Happy Saturday 🌍🌻
2 years ago
ig:@eaegifts All look amazing as usual. Great eye/job keeping track of the difference’s with adjusted techniques.
ig:@eaegifts I’ve seen a few say that in fabric pots roots naturally prune but in my experience it depends on the specific fabric, my questions are do you plan to repot further and do you get roots growing through on these pots?
Chief Smokalot Thanks eae, it’s a pleasure to grow along side of you another year. 👊🌲🌳 Yes I plan on putting a few into the 27g cloth pots I have and I also want to repot the few 7g into 10g. This gives me the opportunity to throw in the last of that seaweed I have from last year. And yes and no. If I leave a pot in one spot for a long time then small roots will go thru and become bigger as the spread out on the cement under its pot. Other then that nope.

Watered today. I’m going to have to spread these pots out soon. The only reason I keep them together is so they take up less space. Everything is growing great. The monster cropper clones are now producing normal looking leaves Last pic was under the sunflowers 🌻

Bought some different organic fertz for Friday or Saturday’s feed. This one has ingredients from fish, kelp, alfalfa and several more. I think a plant will benefit from a wide variety of different fertz opposed to the repetitive use of a single kind.

Mr.Synnizter Some of them look like they got hella Nute burn? And some of them look good. And one of them looks like a Pepper plant? Not doggin you or talking shit. Just curious
Chief Smokalot It’s the re-veg process. I removed the bud on 4 of them some bcuz I read that should remove the existing bud on a revegging plant but I shouldn’t have done that after experimenting on my own this year. Future ref tho, let a re vegging plant ride out unpicked
Chief Smokalot The new growth coming out is fresh and healthy looking. The f’d up leafs are leaves from when they were outside late winter this year😂
