Autoflower
Starting to flower… She’s my healthiest plant. Planted another one on the same day, same strand, but grow rate is significantly slower. wondering what I did so much differently… I did top the main stem on this one, so I think I’ll be doing that to all of them from here on out in future grows.

alander Hey growmie, with autos too much stress from topping or defoliation will stunt growth - the stress can cause it to flower earlier than optimal (reduced yields, small plants). I love to train, top, and bend, so when I grew my first autos my plants looked very similar - small and flowering really early. I would try to do a bit less training on your next auto run and just let ‘‘em rip, or run photos (they are much better suited for your grow style IMO). Autos just don’t have enough veg time to recover from a lot of training and topping. My best results with an auto was topping the main stem once (at fifth node), and just LST bends after that. Cheers mate, good luck with your grows❤️✌🏼
cml15050 @alander thank you! I was starting to wonder if there was life on this app lol there’s so much information on the Internet telling you a million different ways and things to do so I really appreciate the tips. Probably going to start germinating a few now considering I’ll most likely have a pretty small return from these plants. Thanks again! ❤️
alander Yea all the information can be really overwhelming at first, and it definitely wouldn’t be a bad idea to pop some more seeds. I did the exact same to my first autos , but I realized I prefer photos cuz I love them. Especially because some strains (especially the sugar cane I’m currently growing) decide to grow straight up. The tops choke each other out without a lot of training, but if it was an auto I’d feel like I’d have to leave it No problem, and if you ever have any questions feel free to drop by one of my journals on here!❤️
