Blue Mystic Flowering

March 1st. First grow

The grow lights fuck with my phone camera so the lighting is kind of off. Some people have said the blue tint could be a sign of too much nitrogen, but the strain is blue mystic. This is my first grow. I use a SunSytem LEC315 light. I have three plants, Ari, Yasmin and Chloe. Yes I named them. - Fox Farm Original planting mix - Dynagrow Bloom for flowering nutrient - Optic Folier Overgrow folier treatment as needed We test PH balance. The folier treatment has made the biggest difference with the girls physical appearance.

Day: 56

Shutting down the girls and letting them sit in complete darkness for three days to up to a week. Here is the quote I found from a pharmaceutical group I’m in on why they will sit in darkness: "The Stichting Institute of Medical marijuana (SIMM), the first company to sell marijuana through the pharmacies of Holland, has been investigating the medical possibilities of cannabis, together with TNO laboratories and the University of Leiden. One of their discoveries has been that to keep the ripe plants in the dark before harvesting could increase their potency.SIMM’s growers separated a crop of mature plants, harvested half of them and kept the other half in absolute darkness for 72 hours before cutting and drying. Analysis of the resulting dried buds showed that some varieties had seen an increase of THC of up to 30%, while CBD and CBN remained the same."

So I’m letting the girls go for another week before we cut them off then going for three days in darkness before we chop and hang. One of the girls seems to be maturing now and the other two are just a little bit behind. Super geeked because the back plant (of course the one I can’t get a good angle of) that seems to be maturing now has blue buds. Really excited to the other two to catch up. In the very last picture you can see the two darker plants and the bright green plant. The green plant is the one that seems to be maturing now.

Plants seem to doing well despite my minor slip up last week

Day: 35

*advice welcomed regarding light schedule* Flowering for officially 5 weeks. There was a minor slip up in the middle of this week. My cat somehow got the door to the grow room open, during their darkness cycle. So grow room light was off, however the door was open and the light in another room that’s connected to the grow room was on. So they probably got 10-15 minutes of indirect light from the room that is connected too. Out of everything I’ve been doing since March this is my only fuck up that’s happened. I’m hoping it doesn’t delay the girls or send them back into vegetation. Their light schedule has never been fucked with.

JohnE Why are you spraying them

Fancynancy I don’t give them the Folier treatment anymore that was only during veg. The pictures they aren’t sprayed with anything. They look wet because of the flash on top of the grow light.

Been flowering for 4 weeks now. Definitely thinking about doing a double harvest so the lower half of the girls can get more light.

Gonna be changing up the light schedule in a few days

Day: 24

Starting to really smell, continuing the foilier and nutrient treatments twice daily or three times if needed. I’m thinking of doing a double harvest to give the buds on the lower half of each plant more time to grow and get fluffier.

Trimmed the girls up really nice to conserve energy. Put in a Can-Lite 4 x 15 250 CFM filter and a Can-Fan S400. Got an Tighten Controls Apollo 8 timer for the light. Can’t wait to see what they look like in a week. The folier treatment definitely helped them grow like crazy. Reaching about 31 inches now.
