Day: 47
Some light defoliation on the lower fan leaves and moved some of the LST stakes I had in place to spread the plants out some more. I have some extremely humid weather at the moment and the RH in the garage is 80%, the dehumidifier is going 24/7. Plants were getting very busy and bushy and I don't want to risk any mould so that's why I decided to defoliate. I've realised the light I have just isn't big enough as I'd like, next time around I'll use a wide bar style, but using what I've got for now and I've had to move the pots around to try and even out the DLI/PPFD as the spread isn't the best. EC at 2.4 , my nute chart tops out at 2.2 for the rest of the grow and I've experimented with 2.4 EC for the last week and they seem ok, not sure I'll go any higher. They're drinking flat out like a lizard.

papabear High VPD levels are causing the inefficiency in the watering. Keep them no higher than 0.9 kPh if possible.
papabear Start staking the main colas falling over before blooming and defoliate.
Indoor kiwi Ya lost me mate? VPD is fine. .9 is a little low for mid flower don't you think?
Day: 41
Chugging away nicely, fresh nutrients in the reservoir now at an EC value of 2.2 as per the feed chart. Will see how the plant handles the higher EC. Green Planets EC target is 2.2 until flush, I may try and up the values slowly if there is no burn or signs of issues. VPD has been rock solid between .9 and 1.2.

Day: 39
Raised the lights up quite a lot, they are probably a little on the small size for the tent. I found a lot of shadows and lack of light on the lower sides of the plants, adjusted the DLI up to 45 and the spread seems to be better and less shadows etc. They are really soaking up the nutrients at the moment. ๐โ๏ธ

Rastaman 2.0 Looking good ๐ฏ๐๐พ
Indoor kiwi Thanks man! ๐
Day: 34
Looks like they are into flower. Struggling to keep tent temperatures down, hovering around 28 degrees Celsius today but VPD around 1.2 to 1.6, but mostly 1.4. Ice in and around the nutrient reservoir keeping the nutrient temps down. Some leafs look to be curling/tacoing and some yellow spots on various old lower fan leafs. I've raised the lights and dropped the DLI down to 38-39 in hope they flatten out, also moved the circulation fans up and away from the plants incase that's also causing the issues. EC 1.8 and PH 5.8

Rastaman 2.0 When temps are like that in my tent my humidity is on 70 thatโs vpd 1.13 down vpd calculator on your phone if you donโt have it.my tent temps are between 26-28 always.
Rastaman 2.0 Week 6-7 flower drop vpd.
Indoor kiwi Thanks for the tips. Am I correct I should be between .8 to 1.2 at this early flower stage?

Day: 31
Pulled the girls out yesterday and gave them a massive full flush of PH 5.8 water only and kept going until run off was where it needed to be. Interestingly the PH level that came out initially was around the 6.8 mark and then slowly dropped, being in Autopots I knew that flushing from the top I would introduce some salts etc, but didn't expect it to be so high from the first few drips of run off. I was unsure on some of the spots I had seen so thought I'd make sure I got anything wrong out of the coco and left them out in the sun all day so I could get into the tent and add a few accessories. Added a heater and intake fan. Moved the humidifier outside the tent and piped it in. Now using inkbird controllers for heater, intake fan and dehumidifier, I couldn't get AC infinity UIS plug adapters easily due to my location hence using inkbird, plus there cheap and effective. Piped one side of the dehumidifier outlet into the tent. I've added a small storage bin around the Autopot reservoir filled with water and added ice packs to get the temp down. Also tried a little LST, it didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped as there quite a bushy little plant, but it will do for now. VPD is now rock solid through the day and night.

60tree Grower Hey there thanks so much for you comment earlierโฆ Looking very nice and healthy also๐๐ผ Like to share my pruning schedule with you that works for me. -From Solo Cup 9-11 days until I transplant 2 weeks 4-10โ in height = robust root system and several nodes before transplanting. LST/Pruning -When leafs reach outside of solo cup/container, from here you got about 30 days to train your plants. 1st 4 weeks plant is in the vegging stage. Starts to flower day 35-40 Day 20-23 I cut the bottom 2 nodes Later top it, if looks like a good option. -Pre-flowering stage Roughly two weeks before the onset of flowering, perform light pruning to optimize bud development without jeopardizing growth. At wk-6 you should see signs of pre-flowers. Here I switch to a bloom/bud setting nutes with lower N content. -Chop Rule of thumb At day 84 (out the door) should be finished.
60tree Grower Pruning is best performed during the vegetative stage for autos, and it requires precision and understanding of the plantโs natural growth patterns and itโs timeline, this manipulating the plantโs structure, directing energy towards more crucial areas. Defoliation, on the other hand, is the targeted removal of larger fan leaves to improve light penetration and airflow performed during the vegetative and early flowering stages of autoflowers, aiming to create an environment that supports optimal growth. -To recap Early Vegetative Stage: During the first two weeks, focus on removing any dead or damaged leaves to encourage healthy growth. Mid-Vegetative Stage: Around the third or fourth week, consider defoliation to increase light penetration and airflow. Avoid excessive pruning to prevent stress. Pre-Flowering Stage: Roughly two weeks before the onset of flowering, perform light pruning to optimize bud development without jeopardizing growth. Flowering Stage: Minimal pruning is recommended during flowering. Instead, focus on removing only damaged or yellowing leaves to maintain plant health. Hope this is helpful to you in some way and fantastic luck with everything moving forward. Have a great week! Happy Growing and Harvesting, Derek
Day: 28
Added an AC infinity humidifier into the tent, replaced the cheap little one I was previously using. So much easier to dial in VPD, will add a heater once it starts to get cooler. Plants look ok, no more signs of brown spots. I have upped the DLI to around 30, the lower leaves do look a little droopy, but overall the plant looks OK. I'm hoping she starts to stretch in height in the next few weeks before heading into flower.

60tree Grower Looking nice and steady keep up the awesomeness and great farming skills๐๐ผ
Day: 25
Had foliar sprayed the plants with some organic pest control yesterday afternoon. Found there were some marks on the plants today. Not sure what's going on, maybe some light burn from the foliar spray or something else. Checked for bugs and mites, couldn't really see anything. Looking ok though.

Rastaman 2.0 Does the spray has npk in it?
Indoor kiwi I'll have to try and find out. Can't see ingredients. It's by Herbi Zymes. A local product. It said to spray indoors at the end of the light cycle and I forgot to switch the timer on because I'd cleaned the tent out, so they had 24 hours light. I'm hoping no damage.
Rastaman 2.0 If it was light burn it should turn more yellow the upper leafs and bit crispy but the way it looks itโs sign of nutrient burn or deficiency coming.lets hope is light just water no nutrient couple days see how she gets.

Day: 21
Decided to remove the tomato plants and just have two plants in total in the tent going forward. They have really grown in the last 24 hours and the leaves are close to the edge of the pots. 3 weeks today from placing a seed in a paper towel, so I've decided to turn the pots on. PH 5.8 and EC of 1.2 as per the feed chart from Green Planet nutrients for week 3. We are having some very hot temps with high humidity but managing a VPD of around 8 to 1.2 through out the day, it's not perfect but it will have to do for now.

Day: 18
Removed all pots and gave them all a feed to waste and let them have some sun today as it was a nice day. Tidied up the tent wiring, vacuumed it out and since I had put the auto pots on to early, cleaned everything out and re routed the autopot lines so the pots had symmetrical spacing. Added a little tent camera and mount. Mounted the dehumidifier outside and made some ducting on to it. All back together and the VPD is rock solid.

rabidrejectgrows This could literally be one of my growsโฆI had to look twice actually! It was the camera mounted to the tent and the AutoPot setup that did it. Other than that I guess itโs not similar. I had the weirdest thing happen when I connected up my autopots this time (I think I created a back suction by accident) and it kept emptying the whole res over the floor!! Did it multiple times as well because I couldnโt figure out what was going on - I still donโt REALLY know. I would def avoid using perlite at the bottom as a wick though - unless you use really large particled perlite. It clogs up the aquavalves - if you are going to use anything use clay pebbles at the bottom. Tbh, I just use coco and a simple cheap 2 part nutrition system that apparently loads of tomato farmers use as itโs so cheap. Comes in powder and you make your own bottles from that. Works out at like a couple of ยฃ / grow. I like your fans though, thatโs something I need to replace as itโs louder than my 6โ smart extraction fan!
Indoor kiwi I'm just using a coco/perlite pre mix ready to go. There were no traces of debris/media sitting in the base when I pulled the pots out, it was surprisingly clean, none the less I cleaned it all out to be on the safe side. I won't be top feeding them again. Leaves should be touching the pot sides soon enough I'm hoping and I'll turn the system on. Sounds like one of your valves has jammed up.
Day: 17
Thought I'd stunted them. Fed them 200ml the day before. Upped the DLI to 16-17 and they have grown substantially in the last 12 hours. I've now added a dehumidifier to the tent. I will eventually place it outside the tent and make a box manifold and feed the intakes to the dehumidifier. But just trying it out for now.
Rastaman 2.0 Why dehumidifier? When they are at that stage they love humidity they need it to grow it can be at 60-55 with no problem and if you have fans in there even bit more.
As_Farms๐ฅโ ๏ธ Why you want to put a dehumidifier in there?? You a need a humidity!!! For them seedlings,, that's what I know!!!
Indoor kiwi I was just using the VPD charts and thought over two week mark now I should lower the humidity? I'm hitting more like 65 to 70 some days.

Added another fan. Still top watering, got some tomato plants starting at the back, going to run them on the same nutes and lighting cycle and see how they go, might eventually put the tomatoes in my outdoor green house.
