Dry is complete - final weight is 4.6 ounce (129g) which i’m stoked with from a 150w light and a 2/2 month (4 month total) run time. First photoperiod plant i’ve done and i’ve found the smell to stay (it’s dulled down from harvest) compared to autos where the smell seems to go a few days into the dry. Onto a jar cure for at least a month before optimal taste and smell.

cut the buds down to size but kept the leaves on for the time being - will keep them in the paper bags for 3 days to finish the dry and will do the final trim before cure then. current harvest weight is 8 ounces (5 days into the dry) - assuming around the 4-5 ounce mark by the time the dry is done.

due to other time constraints i’ve had to chop down today - only a week or so earlier than planned but according to the chart i follow (see last image, a lot of clears went milky overnight) it’s perfect timing for maximum thc on this indica dominant hybrid aiming for a week dry at 60% humidity before trimming and putting into paper bags for a couple days then to jars for cure.

few more amber trichomes have shown up, still a lot of clears. buds aren’t super dense but are leaking oil like crazy (see last pic). still looking at harvest end of the month but checking trichomes every second day, may come day a few days earlier. hoping for a good 4-5 ounce off this run. photos taken using a 10x loupe in front of my phone camera on 4x

few close up shots - with cooler temps (ranging between 14-20 in the tent) the flowers are getting a bit of purple coming through looking close up at the trichomes were still 50/50 clear to milky, i personally aim for an 80/20 milky to amber ratio for harvest

blue OG is meant to produce a high amount of resin/oil and it’s definitely showing, smell is outta this world. packing on a lot of weight, looking forward to seeing how much she fills out before end of month. snipped off a little tester bud - will do a proper dry (week long, last couple days in paper bags) and then a nice jar cure before trying

Getting thicker, hoping for another 4 weeks before harvest. smaller heads are starting to fill out nicely and some pistils are browning but a lot of fresh white growth is still coming through.

First photo shows before today’s defol. Few more days before flipping into flower - plant giving off a few 7 and 9 fingered leaves. Noticed plant continued to grow slightly out of symmetry due to original genetic mutation - excluding that no other issues have occurred.

Taking 2L of water each feed (every 2 days give or take), have been and will be re-tying and defoling plant every day or two - getting the stems as low as possible to give side branches enough light to become big heads.

topped second side branches (final top) and retied after doing a bit of a defoliation to get more light in on the smaller heads. plant will double in size during flower so looking at flipping to flower in 2-3 weeks

re-tied all branches including the top two (had to wait for the half-snap to recover (see second pic)). will be topping the secondary branches today or tomorrow that’ll be my final top. after this focusing on tying down and opening up light to the main stem

Had to remove the ties yesterday as the plant outgrew them - one stem had partially snapped as well during the original tie down but had completely healed over already. Looking at doing one more top on the side heads when the next set of leaves come through.

plant didn’t show signs of stress for transplant or topping. slowing down watering rate due to pot size. all nodes are very tight keeping the light at 30cm away still. 60% humidity 25 degrees

Moved it into the bigger 12L fabric pot (coco/peat/perlite medium had to wash medium few times before transplant) - has strong root system. Watered it in without nutes, next feed back to nutes.

60% humidity and 30 degrees - true leaf has appeared however only one, thinking this photo has a tri-leaf genetic mutation as I can see what looks like two more true leaves coming through the centre. Excluding genetic abnormality plant appears healthy and is going well
