crazybuds89 I think the leaves die during flowering. I’m new so I definitely might be wrong lmao

Why the yellowing? It’s not cal mag…

weedlax What week into flowering are you? Yellowing of leaves is completely normal when the buds get denser… think about it as the buds are sucking all nutrients from the leaves as possible
organic_grower They are hungry are you near week 4?

The 2x4 trellis was too small. So I used a 4x4 and let it drape over in the front.

Alchemist710 This is my first SCROG. Any tips?

SnowDog_X1 Looks nice, you’re setup for success! What size bags are those, 15 gallon?
Alchemist710 5 gallons
SnowDog_X1 Ah, OK. That’s what I’ve been using (5gal) then just did one grow with a 7gal bag. Same width but just deeper. Lookin good.

Vegetating
I just received these rooted sour diesel cuts from my buddy that runs Commonwealth Cannabis Growing Co. only 25 days ago but they appear to be nearly ready for flowering to me anyway. This will be my first SCROG grow ever. I purchased 3 trellis nets to do the job. Is it time to implement my first screen? How should I handle defoliating these gals? I know you’re supposed to strip away the bottom 1/3 but do I leave the branches on like in the last picture or cut off entire branches? All 3 of these were topped at the 5th node, should I leave growth on under that 5th node or clean em up? I chose this cultivar for my first SCROG because it normally grows tall with thin lanky branches that I should be able to easily weave. But did I mess up by topping them? I was hoping for more lateral growth. Or do I just need to wait and continue to veg til the ladies are larger?

These cuts have grown way quicker than I anticipated. They were all topped at the 5th node. I tried defoliating the bottom 1/3 of each plant but found myself confused as to whether to trim entire branches off or just take off all the growth from the bottom parts of the branches? Does anyone have further advice for me on training these gals? I want to SCROG but it will be my first time using that technique

GrNadeGrade Don’t recommend trimming branches (atleast not yet). They are all vital to your SCROG. I’d recommend try weaving branches through trellis vs cutting them.

They are looking great now, except #3 in the LST pot has some white spots that appear to be thrip bites but I treated it with Dr.Zymes Eliminator (which actually is just water and citric acid)

Leland3471 Neem Oil works pretty good as well

Topped and transplanted in the same day. Too much stress? I did notice some heavy phototoxicity from them being sprayed too heavily with foliar pest preventives
