Done
2 x Pineapple Chunk = 196 grams dried and trimmed. 1 x Crown Royale = 110 grams dried and trimmed. Yield not bad but quality top notch in my humble opinion.

agendercannabis 306 grams and says not a bad yield. god i want to get to that stage.
Tonyd133 Been growing for 7 years now. Quality and quantity seem to get better all the time. I believe it comes from sharing experiences here and places like Rolliup and 420 Mag. I do have the odd setback, particularly my last grow. Great yield and nice quality buds, but just didn’t have the punch as advertised.

Harvest
Well, finished drying and trimming the Pineapple Chunk. Two plants, probably two of the smallest I have ever grown, 196 ounces dried and trimmed. Not the biggest buds but definitely some of the frostiest for sure. One Crown Royale plant tomorrow.

Chop day. Very happy how my three girls turned out. I like to trim most of the leaves before drying to help with air flow. Very dank and sticky. Will post dried and trimmed weight.

jacer16 They look amazing brother I’m glad for ya I’m doing my first grow now with autos. Are those autos?
Tonyd133 No, they are photos. I’ve had some great luck doing autos in the past. I’m sure they’ll work out for you.
Dr. Boring Damn that looks divine

Flowering
Well, Thursday will make it an even nine weeks of flower. Time to chop. I was going to cut down the Crown Royale a few days ago, but I decided to let it ride. Glad I did. The smell is amazing.

Just checked trichomes with microscope. Looks like the Crown Royale in the forefront is done. The 2 Pineapple Chunks in back have another 7-10 days to go.

Day 48 of flower. Things looking good and the smell is fantastic. Dried and smoked a small popcorn bud I accidentally broke off while plucking some dead leaves. Was pleasantly surprised with the buzz I got, couldn’t be happier.

sudhin Do you change the height or position of the ventilator along with the growth of the plant? Just curious, I did leave it at the bottom of my tent
Tonyd133 Extractor filter never moves. Oscillating fan gets adjusted to blow in the middle of the plants and slightly upward. In the seedling stage I only used 3 of the 5 bars of my light at 50% power about 14 inches above the plants
Tonyd133 After 10 days or so bumped the power to 75%

Tomorrow completes 4th week since the flip to 12/12. Things were rolling along nicely but all of a sudden I noticed signs of calcium deficiency (Grow Weed Easy). Not a good time while in flower. Can’t understand it as I give CalMag regularly. I do use RO water so maybe I should use it with every watering… or.. PH is out of whack. I ph every time but I haven’t calibrated my pen in a while, likely the issue. Probably pay a yield penalty for my carelessness. ☹️

Flowering
3 week + 3 days since flip. Crown Royale showing more frost so far than Pineapple Chunks in spite of the fact that it’s rated higher THC (24% vs 20%). I know those are theoretical potentials but I have not had the best luck with Barney’s Farm strains. Last grow I grew their Critical Kush, rated at 25% potential THC. Looked great, big buds, got just under a pound of trimmed dry bud from 1 plant and 3 clones. Had all the great visual markings, smelled great but almost no punch. Really pissed me off after 5 months invested. Sure it gives you a buzz but a total letdown compared to the advertised hype. I have been growing for 5 years and it was by far the most disappointing. Fingers crossed on this one.

McGowan I’ve run the pineapple chunk a few times and everyone always loves it. Had one killer pheno about 15 years ago, but didn’t clone. It was a skunky pineapple delight! I have some ready to pop when I have some space😎 Your grow is looking great, and I hope you get a pheno that pops!
Tonyd133 Thanks. Curious, were yours quite short and bushy?
McGowan There have been a mix of bushy, and some were skinnier and tall. I can’t remember the amount of training I did on each though…surprise!😂
Day: 83
Flowering
Today marks the end of 3 full weeks since the flip. Noticed a little deficiency in one of the Pineapple Chunk (front right). Showing signs of calcium deficiency (pic 2). Weird thing is, the nutes, ph, medium etc are all identical and the other two are totally fine so far. Tonight I mixed a foliar spray of CalMag to try and get ahead of it. 🤞🏻

smoke weed Cal mag will sort it out for u I alway use it me
Tonyd133 You’re right. We have reverse osmosis water, and I forgot that strips pretty much everything out of the water. I was only using CalMag evey third watering or so. Been using it every time and things seem much better

Vegetating
A light defoliation tonight and we move to 12/12. Having trouble keeping temps down in tent thanks to the season and our furnace coming on and off all day. For the first time ever, I’m having lights come on at 9pm and off at 9am. We always turn the heat down at night so hopefully this will help. Stay tuned ….

Day: 54
Vegetating
Things seem to be rolling along nicely. Crown Royal in the middle with the Pineapple Chunk on either side. Yesterday I added some of this Great White mycorrhiza I’ve been reading about into the watering. Apparently, in addition to dusting on your roots, you can mix it in with water and it’s supposed to promote explosive root growth. I’ve I have only recently heard about this stuff and it’s quite expensive, but it gets rave reviews. Time will tell.

Rough couple of days after transplant. Definitely showing some signs of deficiency. Think I may have over watered. I tend to struggle with watering when transplanting. Have them a good defoliation too.

Day: 38
Vegetating
Moved them into 5 gallon pots today. As you can see by their droopiness, they’re not very happy, but I think that’s par for the course. Should bounce back in a day or two.

Day: 28
Vegetating
Gave them a topping, light defoliation, and a drink today. Looking healthy, no sign of deficiency. The Pineapple Chunk (centre and right) are extremely dense and bushy. They have exceptionally large leaves, some I removed exposing lots of new growth.

Seem to be doing nicely since transplanting. Trying an Exhale 365 bag with this grow. Tried one once before a couple of years ago but it appeared to been started long before I bought it and not sure how long it actually performed for. This one definitely a fresh one. Any comments out there on the exhale CO2 bags? Going to give them a few more days and then give them a topping

Transplant day. Into 2 gal air pots for a while. Only using 3 of 5 bars on my light for now dialed down to 75%. Don’t want to hit them too hard right after transplanting.

sudhin Can you recommend me the optimal distance of the light from the seedling or the setting you used?
Day: 15
Vegetating
Things are going fine. I’m a little concerned about the crown royal in the back towards the left. It’s a bigger plant yet the leaves look somewhat distorted where as the pineapple chunks seem to be doing just fine in that regard. Anyone out there have any idea what causes that?
jamies-garden Looks like over watering. Some strains can’t handle any kind of excess water etc. one of the big reason we use fabric pots. When you’re using solid containers early in your grow you run the risk of poly, and other weird diseases, moulds (fungis) etc etc etc, you have to be super careful watering. Are you using a product like recharge or similar? (Think benificial microbes, myco, rhino sphere stuff)
jamies-garden Omg auto correct to an animal Lol sorry
Tonyd133 Watering once every 4 days when surface is light colour and the pot feels light.on eating day I water till a few drops come out the bottom

Coming along nicely. The Crown Royal seemed a little top-heavy and I had to stake the little gal. Don’t recall ever having to do that with the seedling before.

Day: 7
Vegetating
It’s early but the Crown Royal is starting to outpace the two Pineapple Chunk. The reason I posted this is because the Pineapple Chunk are my latest purchase and are (theoretically) fresh. I purchased the Crown Royal at least five years ago and I was curious to see if it was even viable anymore. Crown Royal is a beautiful plant that packs a great punch. First time growing the PC. I keep my seeds in a tin can in the crisper of an old fridge with the humidity turned down as low as possible. From what I’ve read, this will keep them in the dormant and viable as long as possible. Guess it’s true.

So far so good. Stems look a little twisted, but other than that they seem to be OK.

jamies-garden Oh it happens all the time. They’re just letting you know they’re cranky. Think of it like the terrible twos if you have kids.
Tonyd133 I have kids, three of them but they’re all in the 30s but I do remember. I have been growing for 5 years now and still I find this the trickiest stage, watering seedlings. I’m normally grow in cocoa, but trying my hand at Pro Mix Hp to see if I can cut down on my watering frequency.
jamies-garden I hate the seedling stage period. I always shoot myself in the foot unless I forget I germinated something or I have to go out of town and they prosper when I am gone.
