Placed seed in solo cup with soil. Will be placing in the tent tonight. Tap root isn’t as big as the wedding cake seed but I wanted to put them in the soil at the same time

Seed sank to bottom of cup so placed in damp paper towel in zip lock bag until tap root is about 2cm. Will check every day

LeChron James This method is ok, and standard for a lot of folks. I found it to be unnecessary. I like the taproot to find it’s home immediately, and handling the seedling can be stressful and disrupt the important biological process that’s going on. There are enzymes and weeks of nutrients packed into the seed that you risk jeopardizing in a cup of water or paper towel. This way is not wrong, but it’s also not necessary IMO
