working on getting ph dialed in & stable - deficiencies are still there but should be satisfied so now just waiting

Day: 16
Feeding nutes at pH of 7 to keep the pH of the coco above 6 in order to allow the plants to uptake CalMag. Ph was 5.8. Ph now is 6.4. Will lower pH of nute solution if the coco begins to raise too much in ph
3 years ago
@eaegifts U in for trouble. Coco should be ph’d no higher than 6.2 and that’s during flower, otherwise 5.8-6.0 is the standard. Your doing soil ph-look up cation exchange in coco coir 👍🏾
thedabcorner what do you suggest to do? with the ph at 5.8, my plants weren’t up taking any calcium/magnesium i’ve supplemented CalMag to the nute solution. Even given a foliar spray. Everything I see online states that calcium/magnesium needs to have a pH of 6.0+ in order to uptake.
@eaegifts Idk I’ve never ph’d that high in coco and I only go up to 6 because P is up took best 6-6.2. It’s very possible your coco isn’t buffered properly

#1 & #2 still showing signs of deficiency. In specific, #1 is showing signs of a Calcium def. #2 is showing signs of Magnesium def. We have continued giving a foliar spray, as well as simply 2mL / L CalMag. We are not feeding the other nutes as to allow the plants to get more CalMag. Based on CocoforCannabis - How to Grow Seedlings in Coco. - target ec: 0.5 ec: 0.6 - Will likely return to regular nute feedings with CalMag in a day or two depending on plant signals. Highest Temp: 80°F co2 ppm: 721 rH: 70% lowest rH: 62%

#1 still seems to be suffering from a calcium deficiency. We believe this has to do with us washing the pre-buffered Mother Earth coco. We are applying CalMag foliar spray, along with a 4 mL / L CalMag + 1mL / L nutes once a day. #2 is showing very early signs of a CalMag deficiency, so we have been lightly spraying it as well. #5 has been taking a long time to sprout, and has grown very slowly. #1 also seems to be kinking, we believe this may be due to the Humidifier being in the bidder of the tent, too close to the plant inducing some heat stress. We are not conclusive of this though.

Caliban Coco is notorious for cal/Mag deficiencies. Why I went to organic soil. What is RH and temp?
thedabcorner rH: 69% low 75% high Temp: 77°F - 79°F Agreed! I believe I am going to try organic/powder nutes next grow as these Advanced Nutrients seem to be a b**** to work with.
Day: 12
Almost all transplanted! Giving them all foliar spray of Cal-Mag as #1 has been showing moderate signs of deficiency. Nutrient solution has been buffed as the EC of the runoff was a bit lower than we would like.
