csgriggsby@gmail.com Can you explain to me what you are doing here? We are just starting and learning every day! Is this something we will need?
tbtbtb22 That’s some solid lst
GAHD @Learnersbud - sure thing 🤜🏽🤛🏽 this one method of Low Stress Training (LST) using BudTrainer Bud Clips. The current tent is a 2x2x5’, and I want to maximize the space I have and spread the canopy as wide as I can. I topped my plant a few weeks ago, which will allow the plant to cease focusing on apical dominance and focus its energy on lateral growth so the structure goes from pine tree shaped to bush shaped. Despite topping, the lateral branches will still want to reach up to receive maximum amount of light, but this can minimize the light that enters the canopy. Rather than have the branches reach up I want to spread them so that I initiated the use of the Bud Clips to bend the branches laterally. This can 1. Increase the distance between canopy and light, meaning more space for veg and/or for the expected plant’s height increase when flipping to flower, 2. Even out the canopy and filling out the tent, by allowing more light to hit more of the plant, 3. Maximize the eventual bud sites when flipping to flower. Maximizing tent space, maximizing plant canopy and spread, maximizing bud sites, I guess is the simplest way to explain. Look up ‘LST’ and you can find other methods that might also work for you.
