First problem

October fall

This plant was planted not to deep in the soil so it got exposed in the light a little bit so might have problems with this growth but the stem looks like it’s growing I just put it deep enough to grow. Any tips let me know ?

The stem is at least 2 inches or less can’t really tell because it in the soil now. Any advice let me know
