@w33dnerd

@w33dnerd Great canopy. How many wats on the light? LED? Can probably move it closer like 12-18 inches in early flower and I go as close as 6-8 inches with my 650w in late flower with no bleaching

Klonopino

Klonopino Full spectrum Maxsisun 400watt. I’ll measure tomorrow and lower the light, I think it’s at like 22-24

@w33dnerd

@w33dnerd If the light doesn’t take up most of the space physically in the 4x4 you might want to keep it far enough away so you can get the full spread and turn it all the way up. Try it at 16 inches and see if you still think you get the full spread.

Not entirely sure if the trellis is necessary, but I tried to even out the canopy as much as possible. Day F14

Day: 82

Day 5 of 12/12. It’s been a while since an update. Plants are all different ages. Decided to flip and start fresh. Next grow, will pick the best strain from this group and growing 4-6 bigger plants in this tent. Hoping these develop into some nice buds 😎

HammertimeAZ Glad you caught it

Klonopino

Klonopino Oh hell yeah. I’m checking every plant everyday! It’s my first time but I won’t ever let a herm ruin my crop 🪓

HammertimeAZ

HammertimeAZ Looks great for the first time grower good luck!

Day: 71

One plant still having issues. Stalk is deep purple throughout and leaves are small and drooping. These plants have been stressed since they were young and haven’t grown to their full potential. I’m thinking about flipping as soon as the weak plant recovers. I watered today as medium felt dry and pot was light. Thoughts?

G-Thang

G-Thang Slow down on the defoliation, is all she saying!

Day: 54

Plants were watered yesterday. Overall it’s been a tough first time for me on the watering side of things. I overwatered in the beginning then under-watered as a result of being scared. Hopefully things will sort themselves out soon. Plants were fed 5tbsp per pot of 4-4-4 Gaia green organic with the watering. Wish me luck 🍀

stick e fingerz

stick e fingerz Looks like they’re pulling through I had the same issue but mine pulled through and are doing fairly well now

Caliban

Caliban Everyone makes same errors in the beginning. I test with my finger and also use the cheap soil probes to see how dry the soil is. Usually water every 1/3 days and in soil I don’t run off water.

Day: 41

Tops are filling in. The fan leaves were overgrown and I should have cut them sooner. Bottom left plant looks to have some type of deficiency. Any help?

New growth looks healthy! These were struggling a bit from overwatering and improper pH

Day: 22

Very slow growth, droopy, yellowing, and not sure what is wrong. I’ve tried adjusting the environment, the pH, watering time. I am not sure what to do other than wait. My autos are flourishing in the same environment, medium, watering, everything. If anyone can help let me know.

lisa2265 What about lighting? Maybe they need to be lowered. Left on longer?

Klonopino

Klonopino Same room the lamp is at 60% 36” above @540 ppfd

lisa2265 My Pineapple Express is very slow grower also. Once I moved it to tent and adjusted the temp/ Hum she took Off. I had no luck with germinating blue dream or orange sherbert so maybe I just got Lucky wit this one

Day: 18

About 24 hours from the transplant and they look a lot better to me. Less droopy and they seem to be adjusting to the new pot. I was expecting it to take a little longer to see results, but hey I’ll take it.

Day: 17

I cut the cups on the plants because I did not use enough soil. BC#1 (1st photo) is continuing to droop, MC#2 (2nd photo) is showing a little yellowing starting to form and beginning to droop as well. MC#1 (3rd photo) seems to be fine. All in the same soil planted on the same day. I had a suggestion to change the VPD but if that was the case all of the plants would have a problem. If anyone can help me with this or shed a little light onto why the plants are drooping when I don’t believe they are over or under watered, it would be appreciated. I usually water when the first inch of soil is dry on my finger, or the cups feel very light and are dry.

stick e fingerz

stick e fingerz Very nice 👍

JG705

JG705 Could be as simple as too much water, the finger in the soil test can easily steer you wrong . You may want to try to transplant, give them some room for the roots to get happy and allow you to amend the soil with some dryer media. Good luck Growmie 🤞

Klonopino

Klonopino Okay, @JG705 is it okay to transplant into a different media or does it need to be the same? I kinda wanna go coco with gaia green 4/4/4 and 2/8/4 for flower

Transplanted into 5gal in hopes to figure out the drooping situation. Will update around day 21 and hopefully the transplant shock isn’t too bad. Pink stakes are Mandarin Cookies, blue are Booberry Cookies. They are not lookin too happy right now but hopefully it’ll turn around.

First 2 are Mandarin Cookies, last is BooBerry. They are drooping a bit and I’m not sure why. I don’t believe they are under or overwatered. I usually water when it feels light, 2-3 days typically in my setup. 80°F, 65% RH, 18/6 400W LED @ 500 PPFD, 6.8pH, planted from seed in Fox Farms Happy Frog soil. Any feedback is appreciated. Edit: RH Bumped up to 70%, will be watering only once a week.

YoBoyBigSexy 2-3 days seems like a lot even with that temp. I’d try and boost humidity to get a better vpd then water once a week and see if it helps

YoBoyBigSexy https://www.dimluxlighting.com/knowledge/vapor-pressure-deficit-vpd-calculator/ This is a great reference to follow

Klonopino

Klonopino I see, thank you! Bumping the humidifier up to about 70% should be perfect according to the chart
