Ny Diesel Auto
1st DWC Grow
A lot of prep and I’m growing her hydro. Using foxfarms but switching to General Hydro Flora trio next weekend. Definitely had a toxicity from over nutrients that was since corrected. ~800-900ppm seems to be the sweet spot. Clean water is testing at 200.

Day: 50
Buds and Root mass continues to grow beautifully. She’s fully budded out with a beautiful canopy. Correcting the nutrient solution down below 800ppm seems to have worked best for my grow conditions. I’m using half tablespoon of beastie bloomz mixed in the 13 gallon solution. Ph was plummeting with higher nutrient ppm (1.5 drop per day easy). Things seem to be in harmony now and yesterdays water change went great. That process took some streamlining but is efficient enough not to be embarrassing now. Next grow will be less plants. Recirculating system still in thought stages. 20-30-20 1/2 tbsp BB and 20 HG. 5ml MP. Ph 5.8-6.2

Mystrain420-@eaegifts Nice growmie 👍🏾
heizenberg Thank you 🙏
kolchak707 Nice and healthy looking. I’m considering starting an auto within the next two weeks. Should be fine in the greenhouse I think. Taking forever to decide on a strain though LoL. My daughter is pushing for Rainbow Kush, I’m partial to GDP. In all likelihood we’ll go w/ rainbow but I can’t give in too fast 😉
Day: 42
She’s taken off and looks great. I was heavy handed on the nutrients but have since adjusted. Ph was dropping and I suspect nutrients were too strong and leaving behind too much as she consumed water. Water looks clear but I changed it anyway with fresh nutrients added. I’m still using hydroguard at 5ml/ gallon. Overall just growing so big it’s crowding an area I would normally grow two plants in. It’s massive for the age.

heizenberg Thank you 🙏
Day: 30
This plant is doing well. All new growth are 9 fingers. The Root System is equally as healthy with mass throughout the pot. Her counterpart has the beginnings of a cal mag deficiency. I suspect the LED lights are causing the plant to seek out more of those nutrients and have increased cal mag to the high dose on the bottle (5ml)/ gl. Nutrient solution changed again today. The Root mass is entirely white and the hydro guard seems to be maintaining a great root health. Still unsure if azos can be used for hydro but I’ve been tossing in a tablespoon as it cannot hurt. Ph is 5.83 and the ppm is ~1,250 going into bud. Withheld open sesame NPK booster this feeding change but may add in a day or two depending upon how they tolerate the increased nutrient solution. Overall the plants are healthy with the thickest stalks to date. Seems to be superior over soil grow all around. The purple haze Auto is likely to be the final soil grow. Complete change to hydro DWC and then an RDWC next run.

Day: 29
She’s growing up fast. I’ll increase the ppm next water change as she gets further into flower. Added a touch of big bloom nutrients ~10 ml to the bucket.

Day: 23
Root growth is accelerating. Prior concerns with root color are gone. I changed her water today and found it to be remarkably clear with only nutrient color visible. Considering stretching the water changes out to 10 days and employing a topping off method of nutrient solution. Current recipe 8ml per gallon of Flora trio. 3 cal mag and ~2.5 hydroguard. Ph 5.8 and ppm ~1,040. Temp 72°F water temp 73.4° NPK booster (chaching) going in soon. Any comments or suggestions very much appreciated.

heizenberg Also 5-10ml of mammoth piss 🦣 straight from the penis of the ancient woolly mammoth. I’ve no clue if this will help but it cannot hurt. It’s set to expire in a few months and I’ve migrated from soil for now. May as well toss it in the soup.
Day: 21
Color in the leaves are the focal point. They appear a bit lighter in green than the older growth. Root growth is strong and they’re ivory white. Bottom leaf with the nutrient burn dot shows added burn from where I had attempted to clean. Water and ambient temp/humidity are excellent. I’m going to increase nutrient solution strength next water change on Tuesday. They’re still not drinking much and water level has held through last Tuesday’s water change. Only Minor ph adjustments down each day (due to aeration of water?). The stems are thick. Training down to open canopy later this afternoon.

stormbreaker looks awesome!!!!
heizenberg Thx 🙏 didn’t see your post until looking through the journal. She’s coming along superbly :)
Day: 19
🤷♂️ it looks awesome to me. This is the first hydro grow so color of the plant and hyper focus on spotting deficiencies early are becoming an ocd. I did take a peak at the roots and noted the main stalk has a tint that could be concerning or nutrient color (radish). I added an additional 10ml to the 13 gallon mix and will monitor it closely. Other roots are developing rapidly and are also lightly tinted with what appears to be nutrient color. Everything looks healthy and it’s growing fast. Really won’t know until it’s in the grinder.

Day: 12
Nutrient solution moved to 60ml per 13 gallons. Label calls for 130ml per 13 gallons. Just trying to heat up the nutes slowly. Increased my cal mag closer to recommended amount on the label. Comments and recommendations welcome and appreciated. General hydro trio nutes going in next water change. Also using hydro guard a touch of azos and great white. Patiently waiting for roots to emerge from below the net pots.

heizenberg I dropped nutrient drip solution on her fan leaf and burned a dot. Very annoyed by that. Otherwise she’s doing great. Roots are long and white. Very cool to have more view and interaction with them. Water changes need to be streamlined. Possibly converted to rdwc next grow.
