Wednesday i will proceed with 24 hours of darkness followed by 48 hours of light and then go cut. Going to see under the microscope there are not many amber trichomes but i think that with these times i should be there. It’s my first grow anyway so i’m still a bit unsure, what do you think of the timing? The seedbank said 8-10 week for flower and thursday will be F9. I dont want 2much indica effect tho.

D B Don’t play with the light. That 24-48hrs of dark is totally B.S. A trichome cannot reach maturity in 2 days. Continue with your light schedule until you get the mix of trichomes your after. Clear trichomes are immature and will produce a racy high. Cloudy trichomes are fully mature and the thc content is at its highest. When they go amber the Thc is degrading and will produce a more narcotic couch lock affect. When they look like you want, harvest just before the light is scheduled to kick on. Terpenes are at their highest levels before the light kicks on. I go for about 20% amber and the rest cloudy, that’s my preference though. Good luck sorry for the novel.
El Nass Mmm im new on the game but i read that: Trichomes take 3-4 weeks to "ripen," so I'm not really trying to develop new ones at the end of flowering. Yes, the simple sugars are produced during photosynthesis, but the excess are stored as starches, and the dark period makes the plant convert these starches to sugars, then uses them to "fatten" existing trichomes. Healthy plants under strong light will produce way more carbohydrates than they can use right away. The excess, stored as starches, are what i trying to remove. Lights out periods drain the plant's carbo reservoir for a faster cure and smoother smoke.

grindhard508 You’re Killing it 🤟🏼. I’m not sure where ya at on flower day. Or where your at in comfortability with plant training. But I’d look up some defoliation techniques for your next run. It would just boost this awesome grow a smidge more. And allow light to reach deeper into the plant. With some better airflow. But your definitely on the right track.

I hard defolieted first day of flowering (arround 80% of all leaf), I posted it if u want see and now i want defiliate and remove bottom branches on day 21 (now its day 17) I rly love to study all the proces but im rly scared of lollipopping in flowering stage, but I will try anyway. Nature is amezing 💚
grindhard508 I lollipop the week before flower. Another defoliation and lower growth removal day 14 flower. And then day 28 I just remove larger lower fan leaves. And then I leave her alone till the finish line. I’ll tuck leaves after day 28 but rarely remove them altogether. I wouldn’t lollipop this late in the game either. But a light defoliation wouldn’t hurt ya. You can see the shadow line now. Ya wanna kinda clean up anything below that imaginary line that isn’t reaching up to the canopy. But don’t stress over it. Cause your crushing it already.
