zenmaster After wet trimming I stored the manicured buds in a brown paper bag and left to dry, it has now been 2 weeks (13 days precisely) drying in the brown bag, today I took the buds out of the bag, weighed them up to get a dry weight and then put the buds into a glass mason jar with a 62% boveda pack MP Wet Weight was: 38.3g DKC Wet Weight was: 14.2g *** MP DRY WEIGHT: 12.3g *** *** DKC DRY WEIGHT: 4.8g *** I always normally dry before trimming, this is the first time I’ve ever wet trimmed, so I have never taken wet weights before, and not that weight loss matters, I was still curious to know how much weight loss there was during the drying stage, so I worked out the weight loss just for fun… MP Weight Loss: 26g DKC Weight Loss: 9.4g

zenmaster On day 90 I wet trimmed MP & DKC, I stored in a glass mason jar and within minutes the jars had fogged up with moisture but there wasn’t any mold. Day 91, I aired them out until the jars were dry before putting them back in the jars for the next 24 hours, I also weighed them up. Wet Weights: MP - 38.3g DKC - 14.2g Wet weight doesn’t really matter but I’m curious to see how much weight loss there is after drying Day 92, today, i transferred them from the glass jars into brown paper bags as I read this was a method to drying which I haven’t done before and because I’ve had to harvest early due to smell issues, the brown bag method seems like a good option, I will leave them to dry for 1-2 weeks before transferring them back into the mason jars.

zenmaster Unfortunately due to certain circumstances, I have been forced to harvest the girls early… Normally I will remove them from soil and hang them to dry for 14 days, sadly due to said circumstances I’m unable to dry the plants whole, so for my first time ever, I have tried wet trimming instead… I removed the plants from the tent yesterday, chopped all the buds off the plant and scrapped the soil and skeleton… Then today I have wet trimmed all the buds up… I had to put them in mason jars straight after trimming due to the very strong smell… however about 5 minutes after putting them in mason jars I noticed the jars started to fog up with moisture, this is obviously not good and could lead to mold and potentially ruin the whole harvest, unfortunately I don’t have the option to air dry them how I would normally (again due to the smell) I have had to leave them in the mason jars tonight until tomorrow (roughly the next 24 hours) I’m hoping they won’t be ruined and develop mold in that time… I am unsure if I will be able to keep the harvest or if I may (very sadly) have to dispose of it all (heartbreaking) I’m going to try and get some brown paper bags and dry them in there in the main tent with the carbon filter and put a ONA gel tub outside the tent in hopes that will be enough to combat the smell of all the trimmed plants combined otherwise I will have to get rid of everything which will be extremely disappointing So at the moment I’m not sure what’s going to happen, I haven’t weighed them because they’re not dry enough to give an accurate weight, I will update the log with the outcome whenever that may be.

zenmaster MP looks about ready now, she’s filled out and foxtailled pretty fat, she has around 80-90% orange pistils and the trichomes are looking milky, so I will move her to the dry tent a week from today on week week 13 As for DKC she is starting to get fatter and is starting to show some orange pistils but she still has quite a bit of time left to go to fatten up more

zenmaster MP buds are getting really fat, still finding seeds throughout however, planning to push her a couple more weeks DKC is still shooting very premature white pistils so still has more time to go but she is starting to fatten up and show more trichomes now which is good

zenmaster DKC is getting a little thicker and showing some more trichomes but is still the further behind in the tent and definitely needs more time, I moved her higher to the light to help fatten her quicker, I also removed a seed i found in her bud MP is getting much closer, buds are looking a lot bigger and frostier, I’d say between 1-3 weeks left for her max

zenmaster DKC is still very far behind, slowly filling out but very small and slow MP is starting to show more trichomes and look more frosty, getting closer to harvest maybe a few more weeks left

zenmaster DKC looks beautiful, such a fun structure to her but her budsites are very underwhelming, even if they do fill out fully, they’ll still be very very small, honestly I think I’ll be lucky if she totals 2g by harvest, but she’s not taking up any space so will leave her to finish.. MP has some sad news, although she looks fatter than last week, I found multiple seeds all around her, I have picked them all but her buds are very airy and barely showing any trichomes, doesn’t look to good for her, same issue with some surrounding plants, all because one got pollinated by heat stress I’m assuming, will continue to let her finish but I have low expectations sadly.

zenmaster MP is still look so beautiful! Her lower bottom budsites have started to develop orange pistils but haven’t filled out yet, while her top budsites and main cola are working on getting fatter and filling out, defoliated a few leaves over the past week DKC is looking much healthier, although she had a very rocky start, she’s finally growing healthy, pistils are now visible at every budsite, I don’t think it will be a big yield whatsoever but she looks cool equally spread apart.

zenmaster MP still just has this beautiful sativa look to her, budsites have been starting to get a little bigger, hopefully she’s done stretching now will just start working on flower DKC has show first sign of pistils today, she has also grown so much and much healthier now that she’s growing from the two main stems

zenmaster MPs main stem has stretched quite a lot over the past 2 days but she’s still looking lovely and healthy DKC is very interesting! It seems like the main stem was growing ruderalis leaves and had stopped growing, the first 2 nodes to grow out have continued to grow and over take the main node, because the main node was only growing ruderalis leaves and had stopped growing, I’ve decided to top the main nodes so that more energy can go into the two nodes that are growing properly, this is my first time ever topping and I normally wouldn’t but given this ones circumstances, I think she will benefit from it.

zenmaster Quite a lot of growth from the MP, much larger than last week and still growing strong, she looks a little droopy today but that’s most likely her in taking the water from yesterday. DKC is still trying it’s absolute hardest, each day looks a tiny bit more growth than the day before, the leaves are very mutated in structure and have a very ruderalis look to them, I’m hoping when she finally comes through and evens out that she’ll become more stable, either way it’s an interesting little side project regardless of her outcome.

zenmaster The MP is showing such amazing growth in just a week, she’s looking so healthy and just has this lovely structure to leaves, very sharp pointy looking while still having some width, there’s something about this one that is really eye catching to me, I’m very excited to see how she turns out As for the DKC, she’s struggling a lot! Really fighting to stay alive it seems with very mutated and stunted growth, however since last week her 2nd sets have finally come through and starting to expand in its own strange way.. today I added some holes around the cup to allow some air to the soil, the soil seems very clogged when watering so hopefully the holes will act like an AirPot and give my air to the roots, I’m sure she will have a very stunted growth and low yield, but I’m still interested to see how she does.

zenmaster MP is doing fantastic, not only does she look healthy and growing well, she just has a very unique look to her leaves, I’m very excited to see the progression of this cultivar. 2nd sets are growing well, 3rd sets are starting to come through now. DKC looks to be VERY stunted, seems to be growing extremely slowly, one leaf is growing significantly bigger than the other, and on week two, still isn’t showing signs of 2nd sets yet, each day is a tiny amount of growth so this suggests she is still alive and unlikely to die, however the end result may not be anything great at all, this isn’t much of an issue as she is just in some cups as a little side project, but I do hope she survives and starts to grow a little faster soon.

zenmaster Day 7- 1 Week from dropped in water Both are now above the soil MP showing 1st sets and looks healthy DKC is stuck in the shell, I will leave her stuck so she can naturally break free but if she hasn’t broken free by tomorrow I will carefully remove the casing

zenmaster 2/4/24- 12:00pm- Day 6 DKCs taproot is a little longer today, still looks kind of weird and yellowish, planted it in to soil today in case any longer in the towel kills her 2:00pm- MP has not rose above soil yet

zenmaster 1/4/24- 2pm- Day 5 (100+ hours) MPs taproot is nice and long, planted into soil today DKCs taproot grew a little but nowhere near long enough yet and has an off white ish color and doesn’t look very healthy

zenmaster 31/3/24- 5pm- Day 4 (96 hours) It looks like the paper towel did the trick, both have cracked showing taproots MP looks to be nice and healthy but not long enough DKC looks a little strange up close, doesn’t look to healthy

zenmaster 30/3/24- 5pm- Day 3 (72 hours) Still neither cracked, this could either be a bad sign or the age/storage of the seeds possibly slowing them down I was planning to germinate these using the float tech method and waiting for them to sprout in the water but as it’s already been 3 days, I am switching them to the paper towel in a humidity bag method as a last resort.
