1/16/2022 11:59pm Plants still looking happy today, node branches growing nicely. I did notice that I may have pinched a couple of the fresh leaves with the training eire, that’s why some look ruined in the last few pictures. But I will just need more careful with the new growth now!

Day: 46

+3

1/15/2022 11:59pm Here you can see that there are multiple layers of leaves stacking on top of each other so I trimmed the very bottom layers off, now first 3 sets on both plants are trimmed off down there to give the branches room to expand. Also I added another plant training wire so now there are 5 holding it down and sideways.

Day: 44

+2

1/13/2022 11:59pm Plants are looking good after being topped and fed! Still low stress training the plants, adjusting the wires daily and I added another wire today to hold down one of the new big branches sideways. Cut away another one of the bottom leaves in complete shade on the soil.

Day: 43

1/12/2022 11:59pm After topping these girls last night, I figured they would like a feeding and the soil was also now dry. I didn’t use nutrients last water, so watering again this time with nutrients. I gave them each 500ml of 6.3Ph with 800ppm at 71.6*F water. I mixed 1 liter of water with 1ml of CalMag, .5 ml of micro, .5ml of gro, .25ml of bloom and then phd the nutrient water. They are looking much happier than last week!

1/11/2022 11:59pm Topped these girls today! both at their 6th node. Also thinking about trimming off some more leaves underneath to give room for the branches but i’ll give it some time after topping.

Day: 41

1/10/2022 11:59pm The plants both now have 6 nodes and are working on their 7th node and set of branches, so it’s time to top these girls soon! Low stress training and topping to hopefully get as many branches as possible for my future scrog.

Day: 39

1/8/2022 11:59pm First two pictures are taken in the morning right after I watered the girls. Last 3 pictures are at midnight showing the growth from today after watering. Readjusted the tie down wires this morning and watered the girls, this time I did not feed with nutrients. Last two times I watered with nutrients, so today just plain water with some CalMag. Gave each of the girls 300 ml of water that was 70* F, 520ppm, with a Ph of 6.4. Just mixed 1 liter of water with 1ml of CalMag, and then Phd the water.

Caliban

Caliban They look a bit over watered. I usually water every 1/3 days. The downward curled leaves are a tell

BINAII

BINAII Kyle my brother. Hers what I want you to do….pleeeease! Photoperiods, right? You’ve stressed these plants since birth. Go back into 1 gallon for now. Go to Lowes, Home Depot, or Walmart and get a bag of Promix potting mix (red/black bag or yellow/black bag) and a bag of perlite. They’re perfect for cannabis roots. Get a bag of Jobe’s organics all purpose plant food (4-4-4) and mix one tablespoon for each gallon of promix. Order some Dr. Earth flower girl (3-9-4) and mix 1 table spoon for two gallons of potting mix. Mix it all up good and fill your pots. Leave room at the top of the pot to add perlite after your plants are in. Start watering those plants at no more than one liter of water with CalMag Ph to 6.2 - 6.3. And water only when you lift the pots and they light compared to when they had water in them. You should be watering once a week or every five days in soil. When you start getting dry pots everyday or two, then you transplant. Photoperiods don’t need big pots at a young age like auto flowers do. Hope to see some progress based on the information I provided. DM me @binaiithc on instagram so we can talk further.

kyleskush hey man, thank i appreciate the reccomendations but i should really update my grow here, i’m about a week behind with my updates but currently they are actually loving life!! they look amazing right now growing like 12 new branches now and both exploding with growth daily so i low stress train them down with training wire! they are now doing good, thanks for the reccomendations!!

1/7/2022 11:59pm The first 3 pictures were taken in the morning and this is when I added a third wire to pull the plant tops down again. After being tied down for only 1 day so far, they already started growing back up straight so now pulled that new growth down again now towards the back of the tent. These new light green branches coming up look nice and happy! Plants seem to be liking the low stress training. In shots 4 and 5 you see a leaf which was pointed completely down at the soil, on the under side of the plant providing no benefit, so I cut it off and also noticed it was slightly purple underneath. The last two pictures are at midnight and you can see that again, now after adding this third training wire this morning the plants have adjusted and started growing up again for the light.

RawVibez Why so sad?

kylebasler they’re looking happier now, give me a bit, and i will updat with recent pics soon, if you see the time tag here says this was last week

kylebasler but they got happier after i fed them couple days after these pictures here

Day: 37

+5

1/6/2022 11:59pm First two photos you can see the soil moisture meter and how the plants look before beginning their low stress training! In photos 4-7 you can see some slight discoloration which I noticed with the plants. I trimmed off the lowest two leaves which had turned yellow and a little dry and crispy. The new growth on both of the girls has slightly brown tips on the leaves. Also in pictures 6 and 7 you can see some of the different types of spotting that I have on the leaves, picture 6 some brown spots on the edges of the leaves like overwatering, and picture 7 has slightly different spots like a calcium deficiency. I also noticed some of the stems of the leaves is slightly purple. In the last few photos you can see how I used the plant training wire to low stress train these girls. Supported them low down on one side to keep the stem straight, and then bent over the tops of the plants towards the middle of the tent. This really allowed all the lower smaller branches at the nodes to receive light so now they can grow and catch up to the main top.

KIOS_Funky84

KIOS_Funky84 Your pot is so dry, I’ve grown since 2009 and have NEVER had plants look droopy like this. Not trying to be mean but you need to water more frequently or in bigger volumn

kylebasler okay thanks for the input, it’s hard for me to tell myself if i’m watering the right amounts, just keeping an eye on the soil moisture meter. and different people keep telling me it’s overwatered, some also telling me it’s under watered though so I don’t quite know which one it is,

kylebasler it’s stilll moist down there and didn’t dry out yet from my last watering 4 days ago of 500ml of nutrient water as I transplanted, going to I think continue letting it get dry down there so it has a proper wet to dry cycle?

Day: 35

1/4/2021 11:59pm Drooping continues, going to kept letting it dry out and just watch.

Peng How much water are you giving these and how often?

kylebasler it depends, watering different ammounts each time, if you look through my 1/1 update and 12/27 update you can see those are the last 2 times I fed them

Day: 34

+1

1/3/2022 11:59pm Felt like trimming off the two bad bottom wavy and worst spotted leaves because I felt like they were wasting energy and blocking the under branches down there. Plant leaves curling up again but the soils still wet from feeding 2 days ago, will continue to just watch and let it dry out. I raise the light 2 inches, now it’s 14 inches off the top of the plant, and the tops didn’t fold over again towards the middle of the tent at night so I think the light is better positioned now.

1/2/2022 11:59pm, Plants are by far looking happier today and standing up mor after their first proper strength feeding for their size. Day: 32

1/1/2022 11:59pm Happy New Year! New year, New home and feeding for the girls. Fed the girls today for their second time and also transplanted them into their final pots because of the roots coming out the bottom of my 1 gallon pots. Transplanted into 7 gallon AC Infinity fabric smart pots to help soil with airflow and drying out. Both plants had a nice root ball when transplanting already with roots all around the 1 gallon pot, but not root bound yet. Realized that the feeding chart I used for their first feeding was for auto plants not photoperiods so I should be actually doubling what I did last time. Made 1 liter of nutrient water again, was 74*F with 780 ppm, 6.44Ph, and the nutrients I added were 1ml/L CalMag, .5ml/L Micro, .5ml/L Gro, .25ml/L Bloom, and then I Ph the nutrient water. Gave each plant half a liter, 500ml of the nutrient water, I did 150ml each before transplanting to get the soil moist to transplant and then I did the rest of the feeding after I transplanted in the new pots. With the bigger pots I also had to raise and readjust the lights, so now they are about 14 inches away from the pots and increased the intensity now to like 65% power close to 40,000 lux which is better for I guess now they are in veg not seedling. If you look through the pictures you will see the new tent setup, what I use to feed, and the new small branches forming at the nodes where the leaves are curling over.

mystrain420 _@eaegifts

mystrain420 _@eaegifts What kind of light is that?

mystrain420 _@eaegifts

mystrain420 _@eaegifts I think u may have watered too much based on the leaf droop. I’m the future don’t water before repotting wait until after. Water before transplant can damage roots, when u let it dry out the whole root stay together and can’t break

kylebasler soil was way to dry before I was gonna transplant so I just moistened it a bit and it stuck together nice shape after taking it out the 1 gallon. roots held it together fine, no damage but thanks anyway! And it is a Viparspectra P2500 LED full spectrum grow light from amazon!

12/31/2021 Leaves are now more than hanging down and they are starting to curl in and the soil is red super dry on the soil moisture meter and feels really dry. Going to feed again tomorrow and possibly transplant because I see some of the roots poking through the holes on the bottom of the pots.

12/27/2021 11:59 pm Three and a half weeks in the soil so far and I think it might be time to start introducing some nutrients into my watering. Fed the plants for the first time today because the spotting continued to get worse and looks like a Calcium deficiency to me so I will add cal mag along with my General Hydroponics Nutrients. Fed each plant 150ml of the nutrient water that was 73*F with 6.5Ph and 580ppm. Feed was mixed in 1 liter of water and I used .5ml/L CalMag, .25ml/L Micro, .25ml/L Gro, .013ml/L Bloom and then Ph the nutrient water. The plants also look soo droopy like in the pictures right before it’s lights out at midnight.

Day: 16

12/16/2021 11:59pm They are looking better today, much happier after the water I gave them. Average temps of 70*F and a RH of 57%. Seeing a lot of new growth with the leaves, and you can see the smaller 2 lobes coming to form this next 3 finger leaf , then 5 finger leaf. Although now they have been in the soil for 2 weeks today and kinda small, but they had a very slow start with all the stretching and lighting issues. Here is a closeup also of the small discoloring on one of the leaves.

Day: 15

+2

12/15/2021 11:59pm Okay so they did not perk up and look happy this morning, still droopy and i think they are asking for water. Gave each of them 30 ml of water using my 5 ml dropped. Water was 71.6*F 188ppm with a 6.3 Ph. First pics are around noon when I watered them and second photos are later at midnight. I also noticed a small tiny orange/rust spots maybe yellowing on one of the first leaves. new growth looks good however. will keep an eye on it. Averaging 70*F with a RH of 58%.

Day: 14

12/14/2021 11:59pm Seeing huge growth from yesterday in this second set of leaves, and even almost see the third set coming in. I think my added holes are starting to work and dry out the soil, also pointed intake fan now to blow across the bottom of the pot to provide extra air down there to the holes. Soil Moisture meter is now around 4-5 moist rather than 7 which is almost wet. And I think it looks like these plants are dropping today because they are asking for water? I will see tmrw morning if they’ve stood back up, if not I think it’s time for water. I just don’t know how much to give them?

Day: 13

+1

12/13/2021 11:59pm Okay so I still didn’t feel like my 8 added holes were enough to provide airflow to the bottom soil so I added more holes to the sides and bottoms of the pots and poked through the soil to aerate it and hopefully finally dry it out. I did notice some of the root tips towards the bottom holes so I know that they did now reach all they way down there! and hopefully they drink up the water down there. Temps of 72*F with a RH of 61% . I ordered 7 gallon fabric pots, and rather than transplanting into my 5 gallon plastic pots I have, I am going to give fabric pots a try next for hopefully better air flow and drainage.

Day: 12

+1

12/12/2021 11:59 pm I feel like my 4 small added holes wasn’t enough still to dry it out towards the bottom, so I added 4 more holes around the bottom of the pot to increase air flow and drainage down there so it can hopefully finally dry out. The bottom of the soil has been wet for 10 days and starting to get worried about root rot. Hope my extra holes work. Averaging temps of 73* F and a RH of 55%.

Day: 11

12/11/2021 11:59pm Seedlings are looking good! Stretching has finally stopped and they are staying at about 2 inches high now, and working on the leaves. The second set of leaves is now much bigger than the first cotyledon leaves and can even now see the next set coming in perpendicular to this one! The bottom of the soil is still wet on my moisture meter for the past 8 or 9 days since planting, so to make more airflow towards the bottom of my 1 gallon pot, I drilled 4 holes around the bottom of the pot, but on the sides so airflow can pass through and dry out the bottom soil a bit easier.

Day: 10

+2

12/10/2021 11:59pm Leaf growth has now taken off with the correct lighting intensity situation. Still keeping an average of around 73*F temps with a RH of 60%. I also now noticed that like 2 hours before night time and lights out, the plant leaves completely drooped down. Saw the leaves on my timelapse lol quickly droop like 2 hours before lights out but then the next morning they were completely happy. Maybe it’s just natural for them to droop at night from being tired from growing all day? they know it’s time to sleep soon? or is my DLI too much with trying to give too much light for them daily? anyone have any input on plants drooping at night?

Day: 9

12/9/2021 11:59pm The increased light has definitely helped. I think now I have the right intensity because the plant has stopped stretching and the new leaves have started growing. Gave 2 ml drops of ph 6.4 water just around the stem to moisten the dry upper soil.

Day: 8

+1

12/8/2021 11:59pm The lights are now set to about 25% rather than 5% and I am noticing that the stretching has finallly slowed down, now the first set of leaves is noticibly growing finally. Light intensity is about 350ppfd I think, at 12” inches away. The soil at the bottom of the pot is still wet and trying to dry out from first initial watering 6 days ago but now the top couple inches is dry. Averaging temps of 72* F with a RH of 65%.

Day: 7

+1

12/7/2021 Seedlings stretched 3 inches tall and skinny without working on the leaves, so I increased light intensity some more to about 500 ppfd. Leaves have now about doubles in size since yesterday. Also now to help fix the stretch I cut the tops off some extra pots and used it as a pot extension, just stuck it in on-top of the pot, so I can backfill with soil. Added more soil and perlite to the new taller pots and buried some of the stem to grow new roots. Now seedlings are 1.5 inches out of the soil rather than 3” and stretching. Hopefully stretching slows down with this increased light. Gave a light mist of ph 6.4 water.

Day: 7

+1

12/7/2021 11:59pm Okay so this morning I tried fixing the seed stretching by adding pot extensions I made and backfilling the stem with soil. Now I realized that i’ve been doing it all wrong the whole time. I thought I was giving the seedlings 300 ppfd light intensity which is good, (little did i know that my meter measured in lux) so I was actually giving them 300 lux rather than 300 ppfd. 300 lux is nothing, my light was tuned down to the minimum at 5% strength and i was growing the seedling at like 10 ppfd intensity🤣 almost in the dark. that’s why it was just stretching up and up so much looking for the light. Now my light is at 25% rather than 5% and I should hopefully see better growth. Now I think the intensity should be around 350ppfd based off my phone app I downloaded, I do have a proper light meter coming soon to measure my light intensity correctly. Temps staying around 72*F and and RH of 65%. Seed did stretch up another 1/2 inch today so it is now 2 inches out of the soil again, but I finally see the middle new leaves opening up some more. Almostt the same size as the cotyledons finally.

Kyhoops757

Kyhoops757 Not gonna lie I had this problem what I learned to fix it is not start the pot full of dirt at first and pack dirt around as seedling starts to stretch.. I know that won’t help you now but just as future reference

Kyhoops757 Or you could use some type of support to help not bend over or just pack dirt around it now to help support it

kylebasler yes, i cut some extra pots and added it ontop to give me a couple extra inches of pot height. Then i backfilled with the soil and burried some of the stretchy stem. Now i think i hopefully have the light at correct intensity so they stop stretching and start growing leaves,

Day: 6

12/6/2021 11:59pm Okay both seedlings are still stretching up tall, not working on leaves too much yet and it’s 3 days in the soil. Soil is finally drying out, so I may add some soil on top and water tomorrow to help reduce stretching. Maintaining temps of around 70*F and RH of 65%. Lowered the light as close as it can go to the plants, so it is about 12” away and it’s an LED light and the plants are getting about 400 ppfd light intensity. Plants are already 2 1/2 inches tall and growing skinny. Should I raise light intensity more to help growth? saw from the timelapse from today that there was not really any leaf growth, just grew 1/2 inch taller.

Sibannac

Sibannac Weird that its stretching so much even though your light is at 12". Increase the intensity l, if that doesnt do much about the height, lower the light i guess

12/5/2021 9:00am Growth is moving fast🌱!! 1st seed that sprouted is quickly stretching up and sprouting straight, 2nd seed now also emerged after 2 days in the soil. Added a new rotating oscillating fan to blow on and strengthen the little seedlings. Also added a gopro to timelapse the quick growth.

Day: 5

12/5/2021 11:59pm These seeds have both shown so much growth today🌱😍! Over an inch from both seedlings today, they getting huge quick! Had to help seed shell off of one. Also lowered the height of the light and increased intensity a tiny to 300ppfd to try and reduce the stretching one. Trying to let wet pots dry out for a few days. With time-lapse, discovered that average temps stay between 71-74 degrees F and RH average is high 50s to 65% RH.

Day: 4

12/4/2021 1:00am, Now been only 24 hours in soil and 1 seed is starting to show through the top of the soil already!!(the one on the right which is where the one with longer original taproot went) so I added a few drops of ph 6.3 water to the middle where seeds are. Now running a heater on the outside of the tent and a humidifier in the tent to keep a temp of 74*F with 71%RH.

stick e fingerz Sounds like a 🔥 strain what nutes will you run

kylebasler @stick e fingerz I just ordered the general hydroponics flora series trio nutrients.

Day: 4

12/4/2021 6:00pm, Running heater and humidifier so temps and RH are holding steady. The seed that was showing through early this morning is now sprouting and out even more. Checked on it an hour ago and even now, there is noticeable growth of it coming up within last hour😍. Still nothing with the second seed that had the shorter tap root for now. Gave another light mist of ph 6.4 water onto the seeds.

Day: 3

12/3/2021 After 38 hours in ph water shot glass at 78*, both tap roots from seeds emerged so now planted in the tent into 1 gallon Fox Farms Happy Frog Soil. Longer tap root seed that sprouted first was planted on the right, other seed on the left. Watered the soil with ph 6.3 filtered water and turned on humidifier to increase humidity in the tent, although it is a little cold lately. Setup shown of new thermohygrometer, Ph meter, and water sprayer. Have new fans and more coming for the tent too.

growin4thepham

growin4thepham Mite wanna put some kinda done over to add humidity too around the actual seed. Tents kinda big to keep the humidity we're it needs to be plus I imagine it gonna keep opening it to check on them and u gonna lose ur humidity that way. Try a dome

Day: 3

12/3/2021 Light cycle of 18/6 started and tent turned on, up and running. Waiting for seeds with taproots to sprout out of the soil. Tent temp 66.4*F and 76% RH. Maybe a little high? so I moved the humidifier outside the tent next to intake, and turned strength down too.

mystrain420 _@eaegifts Rh isn’t bad that high but temps are kinda low, should be 75-80f 👍🏾👍🏾. Nice clean setup btw

Day: 2

12/2/2021 One taproot after 18 hours, the second at 30 hours in Ph 6.6 water kept in dark cabinet on playstation at 78* F.
