Day: 97
Well, that’s it! My very first cannabis plant. I watched over this plant way more than I needed to, just because I was so excited and ready to learn! Boy did I learn!! Above all else, I learned that being a cannabis grower, you may think you have studied everything possible, all the way down to the cell wall and organelles👨🏼⚕️. But, no amount of knowledge will ever place you above Mother Nature. Whatever Mother Nature wants to do, she will do as she pleases. All you can do is learn how to adapt and work with her! Overall this plant was very resilient to all of my rookie mistakes I made here and there. I ended up with a dry weight of 2.5 ounces. I harvested about 2 weeks earlier than suggested, this probably lowered my yield, but I don’t think it messed with potency. I only harvested early because I’m going on vacation at the end of this week. The buds smell beyond amazing and the high is beautiful🧠

Day: 83
Raise your hand if you almost killed your plant overnight, due to a rookie mistake🙋🏼♂️ I cannot tell you how terrified I was when I opened my tent to see this extreme leaf dropping. I was in shock for about a minute before I realized I needed to act fast. The first thing that came to mind was doing a big flush using 5 mL per gallon of FloraKleen. I went into shock a second time after testing the first round of soil runoff😩 pH was perfect, which I was thankful for, but kind of knew that wasn’t the problem because I have always payed super close attention to that. But, once I placed my TDS meter in the runoff, the problem was clear. PPM was around 2,800 and EC was over 3,000🙅🏼♂️ So, how did I let this happen? Clearly the salt build up in the root zone was probably 90% of the problem. While doing months and months of research before starting to grow, I just skimmed by on research involving testing your run off, BIG MISTAKE, one I WONT be making again. I will most likely be switching to distilled water from now on. But let’s get back to my solution for this. I knew it clearly was not a deficiency, temperature problem or nutrient burn. I came to the conclusion the root zone EC had to be way off, causing the plant to lack the ability to absorb water properly, becoming dehydrated. I ran about 3 or 4 gallons of clean water with FloraKleen through her and continued testing after every gallon. I finally got her room zone PPM down to about 400 and her EC below 900. She seemed to start recovering almost immediately! A few hours later I could tell she was stressed, but doing better. This morning she looks almost back to normal😁🌱 I’m hoping this does not effect my yield, but if it does, it’s a learning experience. It reminds me that we can do hours and hours and hours of research, but we will never be above Mother Nature🌞 (The pictures shown are the only ones I was able to grab quickly while I was panicking. As you can see my grow room looked like an operating room by the time I was done😂)

Day: 73
Got some good pictures!😁 She is doing amazing, no complaints! Not too much of a smell yet but she is producing some great nugs in some areas🌞🌱 Her limbs are starting to stiffen up, so I’ll be done LST sometime soon!

Day: 65
I have been working with her a lot to open up the middle to more light🌞 It seems to be working great! I have been able to get bud sites that were super small, to grow quickly just by showing them some light😁 I probably won’t touch her anymore until harvest just to make sure I’m not stressing her out!

Day: 62
Looking soo good! This is definitely a strain I’ll always keep in the back of my head to grow. She is doing great shows no signs of any deficiencies, I have her under some very low stress training right now just to try to keep the canopy even overall. She is really starting to show some progress with her bud formation as you can see in the pictures below🌞🌱

Day: 59
She is doing amazing🌞 She had some branches that were reaching higher than others so I lightly bent them down and secured them with some plant velcro. I’m not too worried about overall plant height because I think I have plenty of room, I just want to make sure all colas are getting enough light! Her bud production has noticeably increased the past two days! I am however starting to get nervous about root bounding. She has not shown any symptoms of this, but her entire pot is almost all roots. Is this okay or should I risk transplanting to a 7 gallon? I can tell her roots are very healthy, I just want them to stay that way🌱

Day: 51
So here she is! She has grown so much the past few days, both length and width wise🌱 She was about 8 inches tall the first day of her 12-12 light cycle change. She is now about 11! Her canopy and bud sites have continued to grow like crazy as well!!🌞

Day: 48
She is doing great! Looks like she is starting to respond to her 12/12 light schedule🌺 She grew from 7 inches to 10 inches in a day or two! Working on my first experience with a SCROG so I’m learning and adapting😂 Also I think she is already starting to show signs of bud formation? I can’t wait to see her continue to grow🌞🌱

Day: 45
Talk about thriving🌞 This is the last set of pictures taken of her before I flipped her and my Gold Leaf plant to their 12-12 light schedule. I have learned SOOO much about germination, seedling and vegetative growth from her and the Gold Leaf plant. I am sooo thankful to have not had any issues what so ever with her. I have grown attached to both of these plants because everything was new to me and I look at plants as beautiful, living things that should be treated with respect and love😁 She has been topped multiple times, responded perfectly. Started some minor LST which she didn’t seem to mind at all. She has stayed surprisingly short for a sativa, about 8 inches. I think she stayed short due to some amazing light exposure🌞 Anyway, I am sooo excited to see some results for all of my hard work! Also, thank you to anyone who has been following my grow! I hope I got to help even one person! If anyone has questions about things I did or am doing please ask! Also, anyone who sees me doing something wrong please let me know! I love constructive criticism and learning😁😁😁

Day: 42
I took the opportunity to trim some minor fan leaf tips to allow more light deeper into the plant. She has been topped and is healing. Started some LST and will be watering her with her first dose of transition ratio nutrients tomorrow🌺 Extended her dark time by 2 hours, making the light schedule 16 on 8 off🌛. This is just the start of a taper from 18-6 to 12-12. I expect to start the full 12 on 12 off within the next week🌞 Starting to get SO excited to finally see my first ever buds😁😁😁

Day: 40
Another lights off picture just to see her true color🍀 Looks like she is doing great! She responded to her second topping perfectly. I think I’m going to flip her and my Gold Leaf plant to flower this weekend. Both of these plants have given me absolutely no major problems. Their genetics seem to be strong! I also took two clones from her today! I’m just going to not touch her for the next week and I believe she will be perfectly healthy and ready to start budding🌺

Day: 38
Topped her for a second time😬 I know this is considered risky, but come on, 4 colas instead of 2 is too tempting. I honestly think she is going to be fine. Last time I topped her she barley reacted at all. Other than that she is doing amazing! So happy😁🍀
5 years ago
Day: 34
She recovered from the topping like it never happen! (Shoutout to ILGM genetics btw👨🏼🔬) She has two perfectly forming stems! I chopped two lower branches that were pretty much completely shaded. I’m attempting to clone them, but I won’t be too disappointed if they don’t work because cloning them wasn’t my main goal. Other than that she is thriving and doing great🌞🌱 She is about 7 inches tall.

Day: 32
Just started some LST. Just carefully pulling on her to expose her to more light in places that would normally be shaded🌞 She responded perfectly to topping, she now has two perfectly symmetrical stems that will soon produce two colas😁

Day: 30
She is officially a month old!🎉🎈 She responded to topping perfectly. She has started her two new stems😁

Day: 28
She is topped! She took it well! Barley showed any signs of stress. Seems like she actually likes the extra light🌞

Day: 27
Got her into her new 4x2X5 tent today! This will give her some more room to grow🌱 I will probably end up topping her tomorrow or the next day😍

Day: 26
Moved her to a 5 gallon pot today! She did great!😁

Day: 25
Transplanting into a 5 gallon pot today😁 I think she is going to love the extra room for her roots🌿 I’ll water with some nutrients shortly after and also make sure she has plenty of good lighting today!
Day: 24
I cannot explain how crazy her growth has been! I’m going to water her tonight with a nice amount of clean water to try flushing some salts and nutrients out of her before I transplant! I’m learning about testing Ph and EC of the plants runoff. Does anyone do this and do you think it’s necessary? I’m still learning so try to be nice to me😂😁

Day: 23
I don’t really know what else to say other than I was NOT expecting my first grow to go this well😩 She is thriving and growing so much everyday!🌞 It seems she is working on some lateral growth right now. Comparing yesterday’s picture with today’s shows that. She is a Sativa so I’m slightly worried about her height, so I’ll be topping her in a few days! Can’t wait to see how she handles it. She is in a 3 gallon pot right now and will be moved to a 5 gallon🌺

Day: 22
Looking happy and healthy😁 She doesn’t seem to mind that I chopped her bottom two leaves that were drooping! This is awesome because she can now use more energy on superior central growth! Every new set of fan leaves has more and more fingers which is a great sign, she’s at 6 now! I’m probably gonna give her a nice nutrient feeding later today!👨🏼🔬⚛️ Ordering the bigger tent later today so she will end up having more room to grow tall🌿 (All discoloration seen here is from my light, I promise she’s green and happy)

Day: 21
Decided to chop the lowest set of leaves. They have been dropping for weeks and have never once stood up like the rest have. This should allow the plant to focus more of its energy on growth!😁 Hopefully I didn’t stress her out too much but I think it was a good choice!🌱

Day: 20
Today was the first day I opened the tent and was shocked at her growth. Finally made the choice to purchase another tent setup. This 2x2x4 tent will be used for SOG method with small indica plants. The new tent is 3x2x5 and will be used for 2 or 3 full size plants🌱 My main goal when I started doing this about a month ago was to learn all the basics of germination, seedling and vegetative care. Not to brag but I think I’m ready to move onto a few more plants😁 Currently looking for some new strains to try🍁 Also, this was my first set of pictures that are completely without my light on, so you can see how green she is😱🍀

Day: 19
Still thriving🍀 Her first set of fan leaves are fairly droopy. I’m not too worried about this, because I’ll probably trim them off soon anyway. Other than than she is looking great and making huge growth daily. I noticed a slight smell starting to come off her, it smells great🌺 She has 3 nodes and is working on her 4th!

Day: 18
She’s looking great! Going to give her a diluted dose of nutrients today just to make sure she has some if she needs them👨🏼🔬. She has completely recovered from the minor burn she had a week ago. She is growing so fast right now! Lots of center growth and some big height gains!😁🌞
5 years ago
Day: 17
I’m going to continue with plain water for a little longer, she seems to be loving it! I’m trying not to make the beginner mistake of overdosing with nutrients. As of right now she is thriving and looking happy🌞 I folded some of her pot down to allow more lateral air movement. Hopefully this air movement will help thicken her stem🌱
5 years ago
Day: 15
She is looking great😁 She is still making huge gains in growth. I think the slight nutrient burn she had has started to resolve. Last picture is close up under magnifying glass on her leaf tips to show real color. Looking forward to starting some LST with her soon🌱🌞

Day: 14
Her leafs were hanging a little low last night but she quickly lifted them this morning once the light came on! She had a big stem growth day today! I still see some very slight color discoloration on her tips but these are worse in pictures than in person. I think my light intensifies it in these pictures. Anyway, I’m not panicking. I watered her with some fresh ph and EC balanced water last night and she seems to have loved it!😁

Dortiz306 Nice looking plant, can’t wait to see her flower. I’ve got some jungle boys seeds I want to pop as soon as I get a decent grow space.
Day: 13
Well looks like that discoloration was a symptom. I’m thinking she is in the early stages of nutrient burn. I’m going to switch to clean, ph balanced water for a few days and she should bounce back. Other than the slight color change she is doing great! She has some new development in the center!🌴

Cindy I love the close-up! Saw that you recently followed my mother of Berry grow. It only has one update left (with dried weight when I get it)… See you’ve got super lemon haze… I’ve got one in flowering with a grow log… And one in vegetation with a log… This program only allows you to follow so many crows before the alerts don’t work. LOL. Your baby is looking pretty damn good
Jnacci So beautiful!!! Can’t wait to try her next time. What company?

Day: 10
She’s working on her second and third set of fan leaves!

Day: 9
The discoloration I was worried about yesterday turned out to just be weird lighting in the picture! She’s looking happy and healthy today😁

Day: 8
I have a 1000W LED on a 18 on and 6 off schedule. I have both the veg and bloom switches on. Is this possibly too much light? I keep the temp stable in the low 80’s. Does anyone else see some leaf discoloration starting or is it just me? This is my very first plant so any input is appreciated!😁

Day: 6
Her fan leaves have filled out and look good! She had some stretching the first few days but it has subsided. She has a small lean that I am trying to correct, other than that she looks healthy to me!😁

Goochie22 Looks good and healthy!! Super Lemon is one of my fav strains to smoke personally! I’m on my first Grow also..any advice and comments are welcome!!
Day: 5
She grew so much yesterday! She had some trouble popping her shell completely off but she got it.

The difference between 8 am and 1 pm. I still feel like I stressed her out so I’m not sure if she will make it. But she’s lifting her head up so I guess that’s a good sign.
