GSCE 🪴

5x5 tent, Spider Farmer se3000, ac infinity T6 inline w/ temp&humidity controller

2 feminized GSCE from ILGM have been growing since Jan 19. 2 clones were taken February 22(didn’t survive). 24 hr light schedule. 5x5 tent with trellis netting for even canopy. 77°F temp. 50% to 55% humidity. (2)300 Watt light dimmed to 80%. Keeping in vegetative until more of the trellis is filled and plant is healthy. Hopefully I can take a couple cuttings and be able to keep the strain going. Finally flipped to 12/12 100% light on day 170 of veg after fighting deficiencies and filling out the 5x5 tent she got a bit taller than expected and finding out the flowering stretch for GSCE can be pretty massive I moved out of the 5x5x6 tent to the room to give more height for the lights to go up (put together in a hurry and not the set up I was hoping or expecting, will definitely change things around for next batch) used panda film on the walls and fairly happy with that but Mylar was harder to find in a hurry and a little out of budget for spur of the moment environment change.

Day: 288

All done and in jars. Unfortunately since I was suffering from COVID I did not get them trimmed as nicely as I had wanted or in jars as quickly as I had hoped. I did not get a wet or dry weight either I’m afraid. 32 oz jars and the left plant got 11 filled and the right filled 9. I am happy with this run and hope to taste my product in a month after a bit of a cure. Most of this will be made into butter and oil.

Had a lot happening and cut down later than I wanted. Plant on drying rack is the right plant, the left is on the retractable clothes line. Temps: 66-69🌡️ and rh: 50-55%

HLS Farms Nice. What do you have the pullies hanging from?

SirSmokesAlot69

SirSmokesAlot69 @HLS Farms I have them hanging from steel screw hooks into the ceiling beams. Same as the lights (different hooks 🪝)

organic_grower What are you feeding these girls with?

SirSmokesAlot69

SirSmokesAlot69 Thanks @organic_grower! I use the Fox Farm line minus Kangaroots, Flowers Kiss, Rhize Up. And Happy Frog Soil Conditioner line minus Tomato & Vegetable (forgot to grab at the store)

Anyone else use the Happy Frog soil conditioners? These ladies are mighty pretty 🤩

TopflightSpenc

TopflightSpenc I use happy frog soil!!! It’s pretty good with all the added stuff like microryzae and worm castings

SirSmokesAlot69

SirSmokesAlot69 @TopflightSpenc Yes I have seen many use the Happy Frog Potting soil and are happy with the results. I haven’t seen many talk about the Happy Frog soil conditioners though.

TopflightSpenc

TopflightSpenc Ye I never used the conditioners but bro could u check out my page and tell me if I should be ready for transplant into a 7 gallon?

Switched the girls over to 12/12! Finally ready and healthy to begin flower and excited to see just how much of a stretch they will give. Took out of 5x5 because seeing from others the possibility of doubling height was not possible in the tent so quickly changed (last second and not what I would like. Changes will be made for next run)

organic_grower You really turned these girls around! 👍 Nice work at fixing the problem I will be watching🍿

SirSmokesAlot69

SirSmokesAlot69 Thank you @organic_grower! I really appreciate it! I really like that set up you have going for the clones. Definitely will be checking in on your journals 📓

Day: 160

Loving the bounce back from the Nitrogen lockout. Really filling out the tent. Getting some clones going to continue the strain so I can flip these two ladies over to 12/12

This deficiency hasn’t gotten better even after flushing. Transplanted into 10 gallon pots to see if that helps. Hopefully with added cal mag in Ph 6.5-6-7 water will help turn her around. The left plant (pic 5&6) seem to be doing better and will be taking cuttings from the left for clones since she is the healthiest plant (large fan leaves compared to more of the stunted right plant that doesn’t stretch as much as the left) will be using CloneX rooting gel and letting the rapid rooters soak in a bit of ph 6.6 water that will have mycorrhizae on the outside of the rr to help the roots take faster. Hoping the clones will be much healthier this time since I know they will intake cal mag extra. Excited to start the process.

BINAII

BINAII You don’t have a Calcium or a magnesium deficiency. Your plants have locked out Nitrogen uptake possible because you’ve been watering in at 6.5 - 6.7 Ph. I recommend adding the appropriate amount of fish fertilizer to your next watering, Ph that mix to 5.9 to 6.1 and water in normally. Here’s the thing: depending on the soil or kind of medium you’re using, what’s already in it, and what you’re putting in, the Ph is going to rise a few points. If you water in at a lower Ph, you’ll get better uptake of all nutrients in the medium when the Ph starts to change.

Been fighting what looks to be Magnesium deficiency. Added another SF se3000 which helped the canopy be able to branch farther. Trellis almost filled and hope that the deficiency gets resolved with better water habits (getting a drip irrigation system to help water both plants at a consistent rate and time) still would like to get a couple clones to carry on the process since I am a fan of how well this grow is going. Installed air conditioner in room to help handle the heat as well.

Clones were not thriving and cut that loss and put the scrog trellis in tend to help with canopy coverage. Only using filtered water pH to 6.5 to 6.7 and Cal Mag (that solved so many problems not giving FF nutrients and only water and giving the Happy Frog soil conditioners&slow release nutrients. Plants have bounced back from the deficiency problem. Was able to defoliate and tuck branches and leaves under trellis netting and plant is recovering well from that. Have done soil slurry tests to know when to re-amend the soil with HF. Don’t trust run off test since I think the fabrics pots hold in the salt and nutrients at the bottom and just skew the numbers.) plants are on 24 hour light schedule and that is why the yellowing and curling. Cal mag fixed it and will probably give just a bit more at the next feeding. Ordered another Spider Farmer SE3000. Should come today. Will be struggling to control heat in tent, might have to use old fan to push cold air in from outside.

Gave Cal Mag last night to try and help with the yellowing/curling/nutrient burn? Pics from last night.
