Flower

Before and after shots: Major defoliation today for 3 out of 4 plants. Lollipopped and cut off branches below the canopy. I normally don’t defoliate/lollipop my plants this aggressively. I left one plant alone to use it as a base. My guess is that the bushy plant will produce smaller buds. Hopefully I haven’t reduced my yield.

combatmedic81 You didn’t. I strip all the way to the top and the colas come out huge

LOUD&GASSY

LOUD&GASSY Combatmedic81 that’s good to know.

combatmedic81

combatmedic81 Just remember that there is less foliage now to consumer the nutes - just take it easy for a week and go more straight water maybe w/ cal mag

Day: 119

Flower

Flipped to flower today. Plants are nearly shoulder height. They have rebound enough for me to feel comfortable flipping them. I cranked the lights from 50% to 60%. Light schedule is 9am to 9pm. This way I can keep the tent partially open until I go to bed.(then I’ll close the tent until I wake up the next day)

I’ve been battling deficiencies since June 30th. I believe I’ve finally turned things around. New growth is without spots. Older leaves have their color restored. I’ll be pruning the discolored leaves each day until all the leaves are dark green. Once this has happened, I’m going to flip to flower. The plants are big so this should be fun. Another challenge I’m facing, is knowing how many of the sucker branches(secondary branches that grow off of the main branch). I want some to grow but not too much and definitely not below the canopy.

combatmedic81 Try some Epsom salt. Rust spots and yellowness can be caused by magnesium deficiency

Day: 111

I realized one day while asking chatGPT questions about my deficiencies that I needed to check the pH of the soil directly. After checking, I found that the soil was ranging from 5.8-6.0pH. I’m going to test the soil again in a few days. In the meantime, I’ve noticed a darker shade of green over the canopy since I gave them an alkaline water feeding. No nutrients; just pH to 7.5. Each plant took nearly 1.5 gallons of water. They all had run off water that tested at 1050-1070 ppm. Each tray filled with water that I disposed. The plants are getting tall. If adjusting the soil’s pH works, I’ll be flipping to flower soon.

After top dressing Build a Flower & worm castings as well as feeding Build A Veg, Pure Protein Dry, and Cal-Mag,….. I’m still getting yellowing and brown spots on old and new leaves. I’m so frustrated. I don’t know what more to do. I’m running Blueberry Muffins by Humboldt Seed Company. They are normally good genetics. It’s been two weeks since I applied all the nutrients mentioned above. St this point I’m ready to just flip to flower and say F it.

Day: 93

It’s taken a few/several weeks to stabilize my plants. After contacting Build A Soil, they said to top dress Build a Flower compost and feed the plants aminos. I bought their new Build A Veg which contains several aminos. I got some worm castings too for safe measure.(both arrived today) I defoliated all of the spotty and discolored leaves. (There were ALOT). Today they were given a double dose of Cal-Mag, Rootwise Mycrobe Complete, Rootwise Enzyme Elixir, Build a Veg, Pure Protein Dry, & Big 6. I top dressed the worm castings before watering. pH was at 6.2. I want to fully recover the plants before I flip to flower. Plus I’d like more growth out of them.(height and fullness)

wyattwelding101 Try adding potassium powder. I had same deficiency and it instantly changed the colors to dark green(also was in veg stage at around same stage as you). I also used build a soil #3. Check my bio to see what I used

LOUD&GASSY

LOUD&GASSY Thanks wyattwelding101 I’ll look into it

wyattwelding101 Just looked back at mine and had the same coloring on the tips and light green good luck will be following!

Day: 73

Today,….. this happened. I’m feeding Cal-Mag so I don’t understand why I’m still getting these brown spots. I’m starting to suspect that I may be locked out. I’m going to let them dry out then I’m going to thoroughly flush them. This strain/genetic has so many issues. I’ve never had so many issues at once

combatmedic81 Or try Epsom salt, lighter green color might need magnesium

Day: 71

A few days ago, I watered 1 gallon of water and nutrients. There’s was barely any run off water and the soil was dry at the surface. I’m uncertain as to why the leaves are pointed down like this. The top leaves are still recuperating from the increased light intensity. (It was originally at 50% degrees then I increased it to 65%. The leaves got burned so I dropped it back to 50%). I’ve been feeding Cal-Mag with my other nutes as well as a nitrogen/fish fertilizer source. Hopefully the new leaves won’t show signs of light burn, calcium deficiency or nitrogen burn. I think it’s going to take a few weeks. I JUST defoliated a few days ago so it has to rebound from that too.

Defoliated and lollipopped the plants. Top dressed and fed them. I noticed one plant has hypoaspis miles. They are these tiny bugs that decompose organic matter on the soil. They are beneficial.

Day: 64

Shortly after I raised the light intensity, I noticed this yellowing on the top fan leaves. I think it’s light burn. I checked the soil pH and it was 6.2. If this doesn’t work, I’ll need to start troubleshooting. My guess is potassium deficiency. Hopefully it’s just the lights. Besides that the plants continue to grow large. I’ll need to defoliate again soon. There a lot of small branches growing in the lower parts of each plant.

BobbyGrowMoBack

BobbyGrowMoBack Light exposure issues & that’s what happened in this case… looks like your in soil. How long was it since your last transplant?

RoMag You definitely have some nutrients issue. The safe bet is to try a feeding of CalMag 3-5 ml per one (1) gallon of water.

LOUD&GASSY

LOUD&GASSY BobbyGrow I grew them for a few weeks in Solo cups then put them these 5gallon pots

Day: 61

The plants seemed to react positively when I raised the light intensity to 65%. Doing so caused a slight increase in temperature but as long as I have the humidifier going, it stays around 25°C

Day: 50

The girls are bouncing back well from being defoliated last week. They’ve been given their second dose of Cal-Mag today. They were also given Mycrobe Complete, Enzyme Elixir, Seedling/Clone Solution (I did this to try to pH my water. But it didn’t work..it lowered it and the ph was already low). Since it got low, I poured out water and refilled it with fresh water. Then I added the nutrients again but at small amounts. So I might have over did it with nutrients. Only time will tell. I think I’m ok.

Day: 45

These girls have what I think is a calcium deficiency so I got some Cal-Mag. I gave them a slurpee of Rootwise Mycrobe Colplete, Rootwise Enzyme Elixir, Clonex Seedling Solution (just for kicks), and Cal-Mag. Before watering, I too dressed with Craft Blend and Bokashi Kashi Blend. After watering, I defoliated to allow new branches to grow strong. Basically allowing more light to penetrate the entire plant. Humidity remains at 60% even with the humidifier off. Temps range from 25°-27°C.

Day: 40

These girls took off in size; rebounding well from being topped. Yet, I noticed some leaves showing signs of a deficiency. After researching, I’m pretty sure it’s a calcium deficiency. Time to buy some nutes,…. Sigh lol

Day: 33

Slightly defoliated the top fan leaves as well as topped each one. Now they need to recover and grow. I’ve started a new pattern; every morning I give them just a little bit of distilled water. I go through half a gallon between the four of them. The rest of the water goes into the humidifier.

Day: 29

After being in their new home for a week, they’ve finally gotten comfortable. They are green and the top leaves are pointed up. I’m watering with distilled water each morning and feeding them once every Thursday.(Thirsty Thursdays) I feed them Clonex seedling solution along with Rootwise Mycrobe Complete, Rootwise Enzyme Elixir, and Big 6. When I transplanted, I top dressed with Craft Blend and Kashi Blend. I also sprinkled Rootwise Mycrobe Complete inside the hole for the rootball.
