Tangerine Cookie (AK Grown)
Summer-Fall 2019
Growing 3 Tangerine Cookie plants in an indoor grow room. The plants were originally popped from feminized seeds purchased through elev8 seeds. They were cultivated under an indoor CMH and transplanted to an outdoor greenhouse in the Matanuska Susitna Valley in Alaska. It was topped and some cropping and LST. They were allowed to grow freely for about 12 weeks outdoors and then transferred to an indoor grow room (10x8x8’). This is the first grow in this room and there may be some unfortunate growing pains. We didn’t document the vegitation phase to in depth. We did a 30% defoliation after up potting from 3 gallon to 7 gallon fabric containers. They are contained in a 60/20/20 soil mixture (pro/worm cast/perlite). They are fed a rotation of nutrients (micro/grow/bloom) from GH. Every 3rd watering in PH neutral water from an AK ground well. The next two consecutive watering are with Cal Mag. All nutrients are given at 1mL/L. The plants have been regularly treated with plant therapy(10mL/L) and a flora booster mist (40mL/L). The plants originally were planted in April/May but the date escapes me due to a communal grow approach. The plants have been switched to flower on September 19,2019. I will document throughout flower.

Day 57 (Week 9)
17 updates
57 photos
Day: 57
Almost there! We are planning to cut in 2 days. This is the size of a small orange (slightly bigger than a large cutie orange). Trichomes are milkt and 40% Amber. TC1 is a little behind but that is ok. It will be a good wake and bake.

Dukeshaba Holy shit man what a set up
Day: 42
Got the 1200w led back. Pissed off that there is damage to the box and the unit but it still works. So, oh well. Fuck toy FedEx! Plants are super heavy, readjusted the trellis. Lights bed to be reworked SOON. Any ideas how to best space light in a room like this? Anyways, about two more weeks. Tomorrow will be the last nutrient feeding it gets. I’ll stick with a few more cal/mag and then flush the nutrients.

Dukeshaba Holy shit man 👍🏻
Day: 40
The plant is so dense these days. It’s taking 1gal at minimum each day. Yesterday was 2 gallons and I had to give each one 1 gallon today. It’s insane how fast they are drinking the water. Plants are so resinous and are stinking the room with citrus 🍊😍. The plants are completely reliant upon the trellis. Next time, need to control the height. There has to be almost 1.5-2#s worth of dried bud potential. I added a pic of today’s nutrients.

Dukeshaba Wow bro
Day: 35
Plants are dense, heavy, pungent (citrus), and doing well. Light has been fixed and is in transit.

Dukeshaba Looks great bro 👍🏻
Day: 29
Plants are doing great. Added a trellis for stability (difficult task). CMH315 is way weaker than the 1200w LED it was used to but the good news is that Viparspectra received my light today and hopefully it’s repaired/replaced and expeditiously returned. Going to call tomorrow and see if they will overnight it to Alaska 😂🤣. FEDEx ground sucks and took 7 days to get it there. Anyways, strong scent of citrus and everything is so damn sticky!

Day: 25
Some nighttime photos of the buds. Still have a long way to go.

Day: 21
Plants are doing great. I installed a 315CMH from a friend temporarily as the 1200w LED gets repaired. I sent it to them today. Mean Lady at FedEx said it would take 6-12 days to go from Alaska. Mushers could get it there faster. Anyways. Plants have great bud growth and 4 more weeks left.

DocTief13 Additionally, we have added 3 CO2 bags to help growth.
Day: 16
Some sad news. My VIPARSPECTRA 1200 PAR LED is done. I will be able to run it a little longer. However, I contacted them and they will replace it! So, we are working on getting a replacement CMH 630 for TC#1. Once we acquire the replacement, we should have the LED back within 2 weeks. Plants are doing great. SOLID bud development.

Day: 13
Not much to report today, plants are thriving and buds are the size of marbles. Super sticky trunk/stems!

Day: 12
Buds are really starting to develop. The plants needed to be watered again. Hopefully they didn’t get too traumatized. The ends of the colas, those stems are about the same thickness as a #2 pencil. The hope is that it develops into a large cluster, this is day 12 of I believe a recommended 56 days. That’s really exciting when you think about it. I looked at trellis nets today to see about securing the buds. With the height, I am concerned with tipping and snapping.. thoughts?

Day: 11
Just did the final pruning. We lollipoped the plant and defoliated a good 25-30% of each plant. Lot of strong bud sites. Plants are ready for 5 strong focused weeks of growth now.

Day: 8
We have flowers. The plants are doing extraordinarily well and continue to amaze me on a daily basis. So what I am seeing is a lot of early development that may become a heavy cola. This plan drank 1.5 gallons of calcium magnesium infused ph neutral water. I noticed TC#5 was a little dry today so I gave a 1 gallon drink of micro/grow/bloom from Advanced Nutrients. The plants appear to love the additional 450w on their backside. Identified a ton of cuts for Sunday she we lollipop the plants for their final cut. I’ve never really done a thing like this so if you have questions, comments, photos of, let me Know in a comment.

DocTief13 Also, got a new piece today and wanted to share.
Day: 6
The plants are doing great. Raised the lights a little higher, about 3-4”. I also added another viparspectra 450W light. Checked the moisture levels and considered adding some more water but ultimately decided I would wait till tomorrow. I had some bottom pot seepage from the watering yesterday. I did apply a flora booster mist tonight. Had a discussion about how much longer it would be used. 1-3 more weeks... not really sure yet. I don’t know if it’s worth the cost to continue. I did take the time tonight to admire the plant from above and snapped a few photos of them. I also got a decent photo of the internodal spacing and colas.

Day: 5
Plants continue to stretch! Maintaining the internodal spacing on the colas. This plant is going to produce some serious bud! Watered with cal-mag, 1.75gal each.

Day: 3
Big time recovery. Identifying a ton of yellow leaves, planning on a big trim tonight.
DocTief13 Cleaned the plants up, defoliated the bottom and helped form the canopy. Holding off on the final trim for another 7 days. Watered the plants with nutrient mix, each plant took over a gallon.
Day: 2
Have to keep a closer eye on watering. I went a day without water and had this happen. Ran an extra gallon of water and it helped.

Day: 0
The plants are affectionately named (right to left) TC#1, TC#3, and TC#5. Today is the first night where they will get 12 hours of sleep versus the 6 they have been getting meaning we are on the eve of day 1 of tower. These plants currently range from 60” to 66” tall with a 2-3” root. They have been in veg for several months outdoors, recently transitioned into an indoor grow room

DocTief13 The red circle represent a strong lower cola, I’m hoping that she will stretch in flower to a high enough level to join the other colas making up TC#5’s canopy. There is also some good stacks. WE DON’T GROW SMALL BUDS!
