Day: 6
A little bit of growth this morning. Plant is measuring around 2.5 inches tall. Feel like she may be starting to stretch just a tad bit, so I lowered the light and kept the same intensity on the dimmer (65%) just in case. I’m also adding a pinch of this Myco tea to each watering. Taking a little pinch and mixing it with about 4-5 tablespoons of water morning and evening. Then did two spritzes to kind of top it off. The temps definitely have stabilized both outside and inside the tent. This morning it was 73F inside with the light on. Outside it was only 68F which is normal for the day and time of year. All in all, we are still going strong and nothing negative to report. Light schedule is 19/5. I was torn between 20/4 and 18/6 so I split the difference.

Doubled in size in 24 hours. Keeping things the same and just gonna roll with it. Thinking of adding some root enhancer. Thoughts?

Day: 4
Just a small update. Checked this morning and overnight she straightened out and opened up. I didn’t spritz as the soil was still wet as you can see, so I didn’t want to overdo it with the watering. I ended up raising the light up and turning the intensity on the dimmer down just a bit last night and that seemed to have a positive impact on her. I also opened up the humidity dome (not pictured) vents more to slowly ease off on the higher humidity levels as she grows. Light schedule has now moved to 20/4 instead of what I had before at 24/7. Think this will be beneficial now that the weather is going to be much warmer going forward. Light is now exactly 24” from the soil and at 65% on the dimmer. Will give that some time to allow growth and root development then adjust as necessary. Still using tap water as my water source. I’ll be checking the PH levels on my tap water later today just to make sure we aren’t over or under doing it. Will check her again in about 12 hours.

Day: 3
She has appeared! I was a little worried as nothing had happened yet and thought I may have had a dud. I also second guessed myself for planting the germinated seed as early as I did. I stayed patient with it and sure enough, she finally came through the soil. This morning I had checked the grow at 8:30am local time and didn’t have anything. Went ahead with my normal spritzing and made sure the temp and humidity was good. Roughly 15 hours later, we went from nothing to this. In the morning, I plan on moving my light up a little now that the outside temps are stabilizing and it’s not as cold out. I had lowered it a bit to keep the soil warmer due to it being in the 50s (rare for this time of year).

DDankGrows Congrats! Always a relief to see them pop up
Day: 1
Germination and planted. Moved my girl to her final home Sunday. Light sits at 12” for warmth due to cold weather. Watered at 1pm eastern standard time and soil was still moist so I’m going to let it dry up just a bit more before I spritz it again. Light dimming is set at around 70%. Going to stick to a 20/4 light schedule while the temps are still colder than usual. Hopefully the cold weather doesn’t scare her from fully emerging!

Day: 0
Here is the tent setup. Spider-Farm has really outdone themselves with this. The light is great and the tent was extremely easy to build and stand. Took me about 30 minutes by myself. I just hope that this cold weather we are having doesn’t impact me too much.

godsproblem Nice! Good luck growmie!
macks1907 What are the specs and price ? Trying to see if Marshydro or spider is Better
Birdman18 I think I paid just over $300 US for the entire thing. The light uses Samsung diode LED’s at like 100W. It’s a full spectrum light with the manual stating the ranges are 600-665nm, 3000Knm, 5000Knm, and IR 750nm. It’s footprint for veg is 3x3 and 2x2 for flower. It’s nice since it’s a full spectrum light, I didn’t have to buy separate lights for different stages. The inline fan is 4” and comes with the activated charcoal carbon filter. The tent measures 27”x27”x62”. If you use the code “GEEKS” on Spider Farmer’s website, you’ll save an additional 10%. It’s a code from The Hippie Geeks YouTube page where I saw them test out the entire kit.
