Denali Northern Lights Auto

Season 3

2 of these in the run have a 50/50 mix of ffof and roots organic with 6 cups perlite (2 per gallon). The media should be light enough to let the structure of the plant build and not stress it out to flower early like last time.

Dried and curing! Final weight: 2.5 oz! Just about where I expected her to be

Day: 101

Flower

Harvest day! Cut her down in pieces in order to be able to wash the buds properly. I used a cup of hydrogen peroxide in 5gal tap water warm, then a cool rinse bath, then a cold rinse bath. Laid on a rack then put into the drying tent in this new contraption I’m trying. I got it to try and take advantage of more space in the tent instead of just hanging one plant in the middle of the tent. This plant alone took up two rows entirely. I put her at the top. I visited after about two hours and everything was dry with the fans on high. I was worried the breeze wouldn’t get through the mesh but it seems to be ok. Put the fans to 50% over night and closed the vents 50% as now there is more material and more humidity.

Watered two days ago with the dunk method. They were dry an extra day since I was away and they Deff paid for it. Tons of leaves wilted and dried up. Nothing really bounced back after watering. Everything is starting to yellow. Did I not feed enough or cut it off too early?

Sinewygbm

Sinewygbm I’m no expert, and I think your trichomes are cloudy. Looks like harvest time to me.

ZaddyXL

ZaddyXL I was waiting for more amber but I think they’re coming down today. It’s pretty consistently cloudy throughout

Sinewygbm

Sinewygbm You have great patience

Watered today with some Epsom salt, egg calcium solution, and recharge phed and gave almost three gallons to all three girls. Forgot to do the dunk method this time. She’s still got new growth so she’s got time.

Day: 88

Flower

Watered today with just water and tried a new method. I filled a bucket with water and tried dunking them. Worked pretty well, I know it’s a full soak and it was way easier to drain. The fruit flies are still a major issue, but way less thrips. Continue yes to spray the soil and lower leaves/buds. Deff going to try a wash before hanging to dry with hydrogen peroxide or a lemon and baking soda mix. The lemon is a worry for me by is such small amounts it should be fine. I Lao raised them on a stand and raised the lights to get airflow under and put the fans low to the ground. Hopefully this helps deter the fruit flies.

Day: 86

Watered two days ago ton the 5th with just ph water. Continue to spray and remove infested leaves. Seeing much less of the thrips after defoliating and upping the strength of the spray a bit.

dergoldbroiler

dergoldbroiler The end is near 🤤

ZaddyXL

ZaddyXL I can’t wait! The trichomes look a little odd but maybe she still needs time to puff up. Took a lower stem to sample… for science

Day: 81

Flower
+5

Watered yesterday with 15ml kelp, 2tspn Epsom salt, 3tspn egg calcium, molasses, and 1tspn recharge to 3 gal. Defoliated the day before pretty heavily because the thrips are going insane in some portions where I couldn’t get the spray to reach. Runoff was about 6.35-.4and I usually ph at 6.57.

zer0applied Absolutely beautiful dude. Excellent work!

ZaddyXL Thank you!

Day: 77

Flower

Watered yesterday with just water. Added a larger praying mantis to the tent to help with the bugs. Continue to spray thoroughly, adding DE to the soil top today since it should be drier on the top now. Her colors is starting to show! Very pretty. She is also gaining size.

Day: 74

Flower

Watered yesterday with 2tspn kale concentrate, 2tspn Epsom salt, 3tspn calcium egg mix, 1tspn recharge and molasses. I’m still spraying about three times a day with peppermint and dish soap on the lower leaves. I added some Epsom salt and calcium egg solution before phing. Hopefully they respond well, I’m not there to see. I laid diatomaceous earth over the soil as I see more fruit flies on the soil.

Day: 69

Flower

Watered today with 3tspn Epsom salt, 3tspn egg calcium solution, 15ml kelp extract to 2.5 gallons and topped with worm castings. She seems stunted and idk what to do.

Day: 67

She was showing signs of stress from either heat or light, so I raised the lights and lowered the par. Continued to spray.

Day: 66

Flower
+1

Watered yesterday with kelp, molasses, 2tspn Epsom salt, and 2 tspn diy egg apple cider vinegar calcium solution measured for 2 gal but added to 3gal water. So a little diluted I guess? I then sprayed with peppermint essential oil and dawn soap 2 drops and barley 1 drop to a cup of water. Just the stem and soil. I raised the power of the lights to 650ish par 100%. The next day everyone looked ok and not hurt by heat. She looks like she’s stunted? She’s larger than her sisters, so maybe that’s why it’s taking her longer to bud and fatten up with triches or do anything at all 😭

Day: 63

Flower

She was very perky in the morning, responding well to the feeding. Sprayed neem oil again.

Day: 61

Flower
+4

Watered and fed! Top dressed with 2Tbsn bloom and 1tbsn all purpose and worm castings. I then watered with molasses, recharge, and tried the kelp concentrate. I then had to top with diatomaceous earth for the infestation and spray the lower half with neem oil. Noticed some serious regression in her coloring on the lower leaves. I think I gave a half a Tbsn of all purpose last feeding a week or so ago and didn’t note it… either way, it looks like they’re needing nitrogen, so I’m going to give a full Tbsn all purpose and 2 Tbsn Bloom nutes. I’m also going to try the clean kelp concentrate to help with the recovery of all the stress and improve microbes. They will also get a Neem oil treatment for the thrip infestation and diatomaceous earth covering of the soil.

Day: 57

Flower
+13

Great news! I raised the lights significantly and she’s responding very well! I dropped the par even lower when the lights came on for the night. Back to her perky self for the most part. Some leaves bent and stretched I guess, so they may be bent for good. A lot of them fixed themselves though! She is showing signs on the lower leaves like her sisters. Did I cut nitrogen too early? Also, they all have red stems on the top and green on the bottom side. Idr what that means but I think a magenese deficiency? I also cut a lower clipping and I’m trying to graft it to a pathos I trimmed as an experiment with honey. Found thrips on her, going to need to give a treatment soon.

Day: 56

Flower
+11

Watered her today with just water phed. Moved her location in the tent. I see more dead and dying leaves. And she’s fading in color. I’m going to say it’s from the stress of the lights, but anyone have any ideas? What sup helps healing from heat and light stress? I noticed she’s half bleached and half normal green… Deff light stress… Moved the lights up even more this morning. Pretty sure this is light and heat stress. Her leaves are curled and tough now. Some color fading is happening on the lower leaves also. I fed her a few days ago, is this calmag?

Day: 54

Flower
+2

I’m not sure why, but her upper leaves were dropping for a few days and today finally perked up. I lowered the humidity and increased the fan to lower the heat. I think she may have responded to the lower humidity. I dropped the par about by about 200 to see if she changes at all and raised the lights.

Day: 52

Flower

Watered and fed today with 2 tbsn of bloom nutes and a worm casting, recharge, and molasses tea phed. I waited 4 days instead of 3 because I thought I wasn’t going to be able to water. The yellowing at the bottom is consistent in all three girls. Not many leaves, but a few were turning. I removed all yellow leaves so I can see how they’re responding in a few days and if the yellowing stops.

Watered with molasses and recharge, she’s crowning.

Day: 42

She was tacoing when I got home. I assume the light was too powerful and that maybe had the humidifier and rh meter on the Fritz today. Moved the light away and balanced across all three plants. She adjusted immediately.

Day: 41

Watered today with myco and molasses. They droop when they need water so that’s cool that they’re speaking a consistent lang to me.

Drizz

Drizz I agree, better to be safe than root rot lol ,nice job.

ZaddyXL

ZaddyXL Thanks! This grow is actually my best thus far soil wise… I was usually able to let the soil dry to completion till I notice a difference in weight. This one, the soil stays fluffy and doesn’t separate from the sides of the pot and condense. The plants seem much happier this way. Idk what I did but I’m glad I did it!

Day: 39

I’m doing something right! She’s happy 😊

Day: 37

Watered her today with only ph water and topped the soil with 2 Tbsn of silica. Continued leaf tucking. She’s getting better light now since I removed a plant.

Day: 36

Started the lst! She’s showing sex I believe in a few spots, so the bloom feeding was on point! She’s very sturdy and the lower sites look promising. She’s really stretching in a few spots. She probably had my most favorite form so far even with the missing main cola

Day: 34

+2

Watered last night after feeding with 1 tbsn all purpose and 2 tbsn bloom nutes. About half the serving recommended. The water contained a tea I steeped for two days with molasses, myco, recharge, a little all purpose fertilizer, and worm castings. They each got about 25% of the mixture.

Day: 29

Tightened the tie last night and it snapped over night!!! I’d actually be excited to try this again but the snap isn’t in a very forgiving spot 😭 it’s hard to get tape around it and I don’t think super glue would be smart. Got the tape on and fingers crossed. She was doing so well!! I came home and the tape failed. She flipped over because I forgot to brace her with a qtip stem. I was only going to damage her further trying to reattach it so I removed it and set it in water. I’ll try to clone it and see if I can make it flower 😭

Day: 27

+1

Watered today with just molasses and myco. The ph meter was kind of wonky today so hopefully it came out ok. Upped the light from I think 70% to 80%.

Day: 24

Started her LST and removed the done since she’s touching the sides now. Also removed the first two shoots that were sprouting

Day: 22

Watered her today with just myco phed. Tapering off the dome.

Day: 17

Gave her a full watering yesterday since I’ll be leaving the tent alone for a bit. I also added a cup of water sprayed with neem oil to keep the humidity high in the dome.

Day: 10

Working on tier two! I’m pretty sure she was stunned by the high ph water she came in contact with by the wrinkly leaves she has. I’ve done this mistake before and seen the same first true leaves.

Day: 7

Things are looking up! She’s got her first true leaves which are kind of wrinkly but whatever!

Day: 4

She has risen but I’m worried. The hull is still closed and she looks like she’s starting to reach. Going to try and remove it or loosen it

ig:@eaegifts

ig:@eaegifts Don’t remove it growmie, it’s not open enough yet meaning the leaves aren’t big enough to push it yet. Add a bit more soil to cover the root but leave the shell out then mist and cover with a clear cup 👍🏾

ZaddyXL

ZaddyXL Too late 😬 she’s ok though I just poooed it open and wet it. There’s a dome over. My intrusive thoughts won…

ig:@eaegifts

ig:@eaegifts Glad it worked out 👍🏾

Day: 2

Checked on her today and she germinated! Keeping her moist with the humidity dome ontop! Lights on at about 220 par

Day: 1

Last night I set them in phed water to soak till the morning ~14hrs. They all sank when tapped. Laid a bed of myco on top and placed the seed, then covered and watered.
