Chop day. Hoping I can get an oz off this little gal. Learned a lot, main points: - Make sure temp and humidity is on point first 15 days - Lower / dim light intensity - feed nutes longer - don’t LST so early

OHIGHOGrows

OHIGHOGrows I like to start my LST around day 14-21 depending on how much growth I’m seeing. Around three to four sections of true leaves is when I bend them the first time. And it’s autos in soil, from what I have seen myself and other growers, about an oz and a half to 3 oz is about average per auto, depending on 🧬 and 💚. It looks like you got some dank, dense nuggets that should be 🔥 after a good cure. I’d be proud of that harvest myself. I’m seeing growers getting under half oz with some of mephisto 🧬 it’s fire but they didn’t LST at all. 1 1/2 is about what I’m seeing from other growmies with LST and on point parameters the entire grow. Again that’s soil, I’m seeing 1/4 to 1/2 pound plants growing hydroponics. I like soil myself especially for smaller ⛺️. Easier for me to keep parameters in check for me/ less chance of bud rot and other mold issues. Or pest.

perpetualharvest Thank you for the insights! I enjoy following your grows

RoMag

RoMag Love the name “perpetualharvest” You hit the nail on the head with that name. I believe that we are all in search of this in our gardens. It will not be long before that “lady” will be doing the inverted upside down position. She sure is a beautiful lady.

perpetualharvest Cheers Ro 🤝

Day: 77

Cleaned up a chunk of the dead leaves - good lessons learned on nutrients this go around. Watered with coconut water. Starting to be less thirsty. Still no amber in the trichomes

Have a few deficiencies starting to pop up that look like nitrogen so watered with recharge today to try to hold things off. I think next grow I will top dress a bit earlier and with something more nutrient dense.

frockers84 Should have defoliated

perpetualharvest Defoliates where?

Day: 70

Top dressed with EWC and 1.5 tbsp of langbeinite and watered. She is getting frosty and fading. Pink trichomes are crazy (Pic 4). Should be just plain water from here on out. Hopefully she thickens up a bit

Day: 65

Did some work to further spread out the canopy today as I’m worried about mold given how short she is and how tightly packed the buds appear to be. She is responding well to lights at 18” from top of canopy. Starting to thicken up but its still looking like she’ll be a chore to trim. Starting to need water everyday.

Day: 60

Feel like we are in steady state just waiting until the end. Will do one more recharge watering next water, then coconut / plain water from there on out (don’t have any bloom nutrients). Not going to do any further defoliating at this point, all buds are nicely exposed. Plan to top dress a final time day 70 depending how far she looks to be from finishing. Going to do less frequent updates from here on unless anything significant pops up.

Cannabis Baba They are going to be beautiful buds. Great work😍😍🥰

Day: 58

+2

Watered with coconut water. Light is down to 20” from highest point on canopy. Did another round of heavy defoliation. She is so shortly stacked with leaves, worried about mold but humidity is very manageable in my grow environment so tbd. Purple is coming in nice and this girl stinks up the whole house when I have the tent open to water and defoliate.

Day: 57

Came home to a healthy girl - credit to my caretaker! Did a heavy defoliation (pic 1 vs pic 2). Unfortunately this girl is very leafy and the buds don’t seem to be fattening up much - hopefully get back on a regular schedule will help. Need to start wearing gloves when I touch this plant, crazy stick around those buds. Turned the fan up a notch and going to lower the light to 20” then assuming no light stress lower further in the next few days to be at high end of manufacturer recommended range.

Did a hefty top dress of worm castings and further defoliation today. Watered with plain water. Think I’m done with MC for this run given the n tox issues we are seeing. Will be heading out of town for a week and have a caretaker to water - next update in 6 days. Hope these ladies can beef up!

gypsygrowgoddess How beautiful! I wish I would have started training mine, before it got too tall. Yours is gorgeous! 🔥🔥👍🔥🔥

Day: 49

Watered with coconut water today she is starting to frost up. Defoliated more took off about a handful of leaves but every time I defoliate doesn’t look any different, plan to keep doing a little every few days maybe ever other water. Main cola showing signs of n tox, may be done with MC for this grow. Will top dress with worm castings and hit with plain water next feed. No plan or pattern just rotating around and aiming for recharge once every 10 days or so.

Day: 47

Did some more defoliation and watered with coconut water. Unfortunately unable to combat the yellow tips. Will perhaps do another plain water next go around then get back on the MC. Starting to see some early signs of purple in the buds 🙏

Noticed some nute burn (see pic 4) so watered with plain water today. Did some more LST to try to spread out the canopy to be nice and even. She’s still very short unfortunately (pic 3) so doing what I can to maximize her little branches. Thinking of coconut water for next water, been too long. Light is still 27” from top of plant. Did additional defoliation yesterday as well

Homegirl is getting thirsty, starting to need water every 2 days now (and hence I will be providing updates every 2 days). Watered with recharge. Plant is looking fairly healthy (all that damage on the bottom leaves is from when I was away and she dried out) but short. Seems like it’s going to be lots of small buds. I will be pleased with at least an ounce as that should last me a year, anything less I’m viewing as failure. Tried to tuck to open up more budsites. Plan is to defoliate again in 4 days. Will top dress again around day 50.

Day: 41

Did some very light defoliating today (pic 1 vs pic 2) and realized she was already thirsty so fed with some MC. Will likely need to go back for more leaves in the next 5-10 days as this plant is short and leafy. Turned up the fan to setting 2 to make sure air flow is strong. Light is still ~25 inches from the plant, curious if I can coax any more stretch. Planning to water with recharge next water

growwitmig

growwitmig Is your plant a photo or an auto ? And how do You know it’s male or female

perpetualharvest It’s an auto - check out mephisto genetics. Know it’s a female as those white things (pistils) are the beginning of buds

growwitmig

growwitmig If u check out my grows i bought one of my plants is from mephesto but the other one i picked up from my local florist if you know what i Mean

Day: 39

Fed with MC today and removed some of the dried out fan leaves. Tied down main cola further so the canopy is pretty nice and even right now. Light is still at 26”, will still leave it that high for the next few days in hopes there’s a bit more growing taller from this plant. After stretch is over will move light lower. Think it’s a combo of the strawberry nuggets genetics and the light being too strong early on; will need to figure out how to dim for the next grow.

perpetualharvest Watering with coconut water powder next water

Day: 37

What a difference a day makes! Bent down the main cola once again to try to get it lower than the others. Light is at 24” and have it running 20 hours on. Will hit with MC next water.

Day: 36

Came back to a very dried out plant. The fan was on setting 2 instead of 1 so think that dried it out even quicker. Watered with recharge and threw on the humidifier as rH was only at 38%. Hopefully will see some recovery 24 hours from now. Finally adding a bit of height but not enough to stack buds yet

PopsGarden420 Is the light too strong?

PopsGarden420

PopsGarden420 I had plants recently that were that type of short compact size and it was the light being too strong.

perpetualharvest I think you’re right it doesn’t have a dimmer, I’ll try raising it a bit

Day: 27

Top dressed with worm castings and watered today. I plan to do this every 3 weeks from here in out. This plant is really filling out the pot but refuses to get taller. Nice knuckles on some of those bottom branches. Hopefully stretch is happening soon so we have some sites to stack buds.

Day: 23

Water today with a teeny bit of megacrop (1/2g in 800 mL of water). Ph was 7.4 but I don’t want to mess with ph yet as I am hoping everything in the BAS soil will be an appropriate buffer. Will adjust once necessary. Five days since last water wondering if the colder temps has made it less thirsty. Hope to see some stretch soon so I can start developing the canopy.

perpetualharvest Also lowered the light to try to provide some more heat. Still at 20” from top of plant which is within OEM suggested range of 18-24” for veg

Day: 20

First signs of pre flower spotted. No water today, did some leaf tucking. Stem looking pretty thick (relative to my prior grows). Hoping that we can get some height over the next 10-15 days to allow for some towers of bud to come through.

Day: 18

Hello everyone. Watered with recharge today (second time, first water w recharge was 8 days ago). I like to rotate between that and the coconut water, no idea if it does anything. Didn’t end up pHing the water as I am going with the “if it ain’t broke done fix it technique.” I was reading our favorite free online resource, growweedeasy last night, and our girl nebula haze said with a living soil grow basically KISS if nothings wrong. The little dead spots on that bottom leaves are the same spots from the very first leaf, no new growth has any issues. Anyways, feel like we are at the point I’m not noticing any explosive growth, really just filling in. The nodes are stacked so tight in there I am hoping this girl grows quite a bit taller who I don’t see how we are going to get any sort of sizable yield here. The leaves are starting to get that nice smell. Environment has been super solid 68-72 degrees 60-70rH, not over watering, so I’m hoping artificial nature runs it’s course and over the next 10 days things really come to life! Will report back in 2-3 days

This plant definitely has strong strawberry nuggets genes coming through more so than skywalker. Very very short and stout, short branches big old leaves. I decided to get some LST and leaf tucking going this evening as I’m eager to do something but didn’t need water yet. I’m pleased with her growth. Feel like things have balanced out since I watered with recharge. New growth doesn’t have any deformities.

perpetualharvest She has fan leaves half the width of the pot but can’t be more than 5 inches tall

Day: 14

Well friends, we continue to see issues with this young lady. Watered with coconut water today. Moved the light up a bit since she’s quite short and I thought maybe the newest growth was showing light burn symptoms. Light is now at 27-28 inches from the plant which is a bit higher than factory rec but I don’t know how to dim it. I have no clue what the problem is though. Also per various recommendations I’ll be waiting another week or so to LST. Maybe some light leaf tucking when the top of the soil drys out. Temps have been 68-72 with rH right around 64-69.

CaptainRex Doesnt look too unhealthy. Aside from what may be variegation that’s causing the coloring, I’ve seen some of the twisting and curling of leaves early on and the plant turn out fine. The tacoing of the leaves in pic 2 suggest maybe some heat stress, but could be root zone stress which will probably settle with pH monitoring. Keep in mind heat stress may not be ambient temperature but leaf temperature, which is different with LEDs. Keep an eye that the leaf veins aren’t turning more yellow, but again pH control should help

noneyabud What are the benefits of watering with coconut water ? I have a plant that isn’t doing too well and wondered if that might help..

perpetualharvest @noneyabud unforch I don’t remember exactly, it looks like the guru from Reddit u/terpslurps deleted his account. I believe at a high level it provides the plant the sugars it needs. Check out buildasoil, they are a great resource if you’re growing in soil

Day: 12

I’m pleased with the growth overall but this plant clearly has some qualms with the environment. Thoughts?? I might finally breakdown and buy the proper ph equipment

perpetualharvest Didn’t water today just a troubleshooting post^

perpetualharvest Just sprayed some neem oil, thanks to @captainrex for the reccos. Planning to begin LST next water likely 2 days from now

Some interesting deformities. Temps have been sitting right around high 60’s, RH right around high 60s / low 70s. Though she does not look great, looking back on my previous grows this is 2x as big at this time.
