Got her into her own tent finally, watered and loving it, I’ve been told when the leaves out grow the rim of the pot is time for transplant, any suggestions?

combatmedic81

combatmedic81 How long has she been in this pot? If it’s been more than 2 weeks I would transplant

thsee

thsee Err something like two weeks lol maybe a little longer, thanks!

thsee

thsee Nvm less then, I’ll be transplanting in the next few days

Day: 19

Took a few days but she’s showing signs of pushing through the issues I’ve had. Colors getting better after increasing nutrients and brown spots on the lower growth hasn’t spread.

seriousjamie

seriousjamie You need to water more.

seriousjamie

seriousjamie Unless that’s a weird wick or something I dunno as I look closer. If that’s the case make sure you charge the soil with moisture first or the wick won’t work right etc. always ended up having issues with those kind of pots.

thsee

thsee How do you figure? I just pushed almost half a gallon with 10-15% runoff

Roots starting to fishbone and push through the bottom so may transplant in the next couple of days, not getting much stretch like I was hoping for

Pottimus New grower here, why is stretch good at the beginning, don’t you want short internodal spacing

thsee

thsee It all depends, generally yes tighter internodal spacing is best but can vary from cultivar to cultivar, and honestly I’m just particular, lol I could have added a bit more medium to the cup,

seriousjamie

seriousjamie The reason stretch isn’t a huge issue in the very beginning is ease of transplanting (think burrying the stretchy part). I’ve found cultivars are super influenced stretch wise. Man I’m high fuck. Umm, I don’t grow much from beans any more I maintain an entire fleet of moms but recently to refresh genetics I have been popping beans and noticed only some strains/cultivars tend to “go for the sky” I would say sativas do it more but honestly nothing is a “100% sativa” anymore. Even the old school genetics have been cross bred into shit etc. if you map the genome of anything seed banks sell it’s all tainted.

Mixed 1 gallon nutrients, watered till about 10-15% runoff, going to feed 1-2x daily going forward
