Watered following plants today with 1Tbs Earth Juice Grow, 1 Tbs EJ Bloom l, 1 Tsp Catalyst. - Bk1&2 - HH3 - L2 - GTKM1&2 I learned a valuable lesson today and wanted to share with anyone reading this. Getting a PH and PPM meter is critical. I measured the water at every stage when mixing my nutrients. What the normal tap water measured at and took measurements after adding each nute. Plain tap water that’s been sitting in an open container for a few days PH was at 8.X. It went up since leaving it out. PPM was at 200-300 something. Then after adding all the nutrients PH was at 3.X and PPM was in the 2300+ range. If I didn’t measure I would have watered the plants with my mix that has horrible numbers and probably wouldn’t help the plant at all. Used PH up to bring the PH to around 6.5. To bring the PPM down to around 800-1000 I added plain tap water until my PPM got to the desired range. The. Had to retest PH and it was still in the 6.3-6.6 range so now we were good to water. There are lots of benefits to this approach that heavily outweigh the small cost to get the meters and the extra time it takes to measure your steps and correct your plants water before giving it to them. 1. Your nutes will last longer. I had to cut down my nutrients with plain water to get a correct ppm level and this increased the amount of food I had for my plants and made it more available to them. 2. Your plants will love it! 3. You will get better results and knowing your water/food is good feels really good from a growers stand point. Hope this helps someone!

ClandestineWestOz New subscriber mate! Very handy information there champ! I for one am quite lazy, I DO ph test my nutrient mix with an aquarium test kit (colour indication chart) although ppm is something I take for granted even though I have a few grows under my belt. I guess I may have been lucky so far as my plants are healthy (I feel),but i will invest in a new ph/ppm/ec meter and take better readings. Looking forward to your future updates. Your new Aussie homie!

Day: 59

Plants are looking good. This was a perfect test run for me as I have not grown in years. I was able to use these hemp plants as my learning grounds and testing area without worrying about ruining the crop. I’m learning how to water these plants best. These plants been through a lot so far with me over watering then under-watering and just trying to find that sweet spot where they vigorously grow daily. I got a new nutrient solution. A super tea made on Maui. Use once a month. I watered HH1, BK1,2, GTKM1. Watering has been taking long so I need to make my own watering can soo. Or some type of solution. Trichomes are starting to really build on all the plants. I’m thinking we have maybe another month or so to go?

Day: 53

Yesterday I flushed BK2 and HH1 with plain water. Today they are looking amazing and loved it! Today, I flushed the rest of the plants with plain water. They looked like they really needed it and are looking a lot better. Rearranged plants so that the GTK1&2 Males were closer the the BK3 and HH3. The HH3 was a late flowerer compared to the others and have a very unique smell compared to all the others that smells amazing!!! It is a little later bloomer but well worth it and look forward to breeding with this strain as its looking very nice and smells so good. The BK3 is labeled as HH4. That’s the plant that popped up mysteriously with the HH4 and I ended up killing the HH4. I believe this was a Bubba Kush seed I planted that didn’t initially pop and I reused the soil for the HH4. The BK3 smells VERY different than the other Bubba Kush’s. Very unique and I enjoy the smells of the BK3 and the HH3 more than any other plant currently growing. So far plants are looking good and seeds are really starting to develop. I’ll continue to wat the seeds and harvest once the seeds are brown.

Day: 42

Plants are looking amazing! They loved the feeding. Kind of stretched again after feeding but that just means room for bigger buds. I cut down the male Hawaiian haze. I dusted out the root ball and was about to throw away but replanted just to see how long it will take to re root. I took it down to not pollinate the GTK although that may have been a nice cross to grow out. Oh well. I fimmed the tip of the GTK1. Watered HH4. It’s on a different schedule than the rest.

Day: 41

Plants have been flushed and dried out since this past Monday. Fed plants today with a little grow nutrients and normal amount of bloom nutrients. Chopped down the male Hawaiian haze. Bagged it up and hopefully I can collect the pollen. Chopped it because I have some GTK vegging and will start flowering soon and I don’t want to pollinate them. Drying out plants after flush made a huge difference. I will water one more time with plain water this week, then flush in a week followed by a 5 day dry out. This is following greenhouse seeds methods of flowering.

Plants looking alright. Thinking they need a flush and possible nutrient lockout? Seedling looking good outdoors. One of the Hawaiian Haze plants that had 2 growing in it Hermed so I killed it. Definitely dont want to breed with that trait.

Day: 26

Transplanted the rest of the plants in cups to 3 gallon bags. Took the male and was gently tapping it on the females to attempt to pollinate all the pistils. Idk if that’s how you do it though. Everything is looking real nice for a small grow to make some seeds.

Day: 24

Good news! We have one Hawaiian Haze male and the rest are all female. This entire grow will be to cross all these plants with this one Hawaiian Haze male. So we will have: 1. BK1 X Hawaiian Haze Male aka Duke 2. BK2 X Duke 3. HH1 X Duke 4. HH2 X Duke 5. HH3 X Duke 5. HH4 X Duke 6. L X Duke (Hawaiian Haze) 7. Lifter X Duke (Hawaiian Haze) Watered the plants in the cups. The cups were not totally dry on the surface but lighter and I want to keep the soil a little moist and not completely dry. Fed them half strength earth juice flowering schedule. Checking plants tomorrow. If still droopy than I over watered them and I will wait until the top of the soil drys out.

Day: 23

Weather just cleared up today and we are getting sun and no rain. Plants are looking VERY happy today after the rain. I believe I let these cups dry out a little too much so having the rain to resaturate the soil really helped. Will be checking on these tonight for water to see how they are holding up in the small cups. I believe these plants are going into flowering already. They were outside but in an area that got supplemental lighting at night. Where they are now, they don’t get supplemental lighting so with Hawai’i being almost perfect 12/12 I believe they are starting to head to flower already.

Day: 21

From left to right: 1. Lifter1 2. Lifter2 3. Hawaiian Haze 3 4. Hawaiian Haze 4 5. Hawaiian Haze 2 6. Hawaiian Haze 5 7. Bubba Kush 2 8. Bubba Kush 1 9. Hawaiian Haze 1 Most plants are doing good. The Hawaiian Haze 4 has a new sprout in the same cup as another plant. Not sure how that happened but I’m going to kill the older plant I. The cup as it’s real lanky and stunted and leave space in the soil for the new sprout. Bubba kush 1&2 and Hawaiian Haze 1 were transplanted yesterday into 3 gallon grow bags. Fed the plants in the cups with leftover mix from the other day.

Day: 20

All plants looking very healthy. Roots are starting to show at the bottom of the cups so today we are going to transplant into their final 3 gallon growing bags. All strains are growing great outdoors here. Hawaiian Haze has the most rigorous growth followed by bubba kush and lifter. One Bubba Kush has a strong odor from the plant already.
