First Grow

no SOG/SCROG, no topping or lollipopping

Germinated in water glass for three days; put in a cultivation pot (which was a mistake with an auto); repotted to a smart pot; - Biobizz light mix - Mars Hydro TS1000 (150 Watt) - I built my own grow cabinet for it (it’s not finished yet) - Humidifier when RH is too low - Oscillating fan - next step: smart inline fan set with acf; air flow for under pressure in the cabinet, so I can regulate the climate within the cabinet

She was quite a naughty girl, so I had to put her in the dark room early. She’s rocking there with an oscillator and temp at 23°C / RH around 50-60%. Looking at the trichomes in week 6-7 flower, you can tell she’s a bit early and was way too fast (standard flower is 8-9 weeks). Probably bc of the stress I set her out in the beginning. She got a good flush today bc the trichomes seem a bit too ready for my taste. On Sunday she gets chopped down, dried, and cured afterwards for a few weeks. Let’s hope she’s a tasty one. We will see ☺️🌲🪓 “Here’s Johnny”

combatmedic81 Sugar leaves turn amber before the bud

nacho_loco

nacho_loco Thank you. I just think that the buds have quite a few amber trichomes already, which was not what I was going for. So I’m doing a very unconventional strategy and leave her in the dark room for three days, instead of two. And flush only 5 days before instead of 7-14. Let’s see how it turns out. I’m hope that with curing I get a good taste out of them bc I started flushing way too late

Finally finished the setup. I installed the Mars Hydro iSmart 4inch exhaust fan. Now I can control temp and RH easily through an app by adjusting the speed of the fan. This gelato auto went through some stuff and had some temp and RH issues. We also thought for a while that we had a ph lockout bc the leaves started to turn yellow and it looked like a mag deficiency. But after a good trim she looks beautiful in her late age and is showing some gorgeous fall colors. The buds are thickening and looking beautifully flowery. Some of the Trichome of the super cola are already turning amber so I won’t give her more than two to three weeks to harvest. This way the lower buds have a chance to thicken up and give it their best. Let’s hope the new, controlled environment will do good for them and they’ll be thankful for it. Let’s go! 👀🔥💚✂️🤓

nacho_loco Temp: ~24° RH: 50-60% VPD: 1.19-1.49 Light: ~600 Par First pistils are out, it’s a girl..yay! Tried to spread out the branches evenly for balanced growth. One of the side branches is already passing the main branch in height. She took the defoliation like a big girl..no sign of stress for now.

Watering day: 500ml filtered water; pH: 6,4 - no nutes yet; I suspect first signs of N and/or P deficiency (fertilizer is ordered); growth is increasing; I also suspect first signs of bloom, so I adjusted the light in distance to 13 in / 35 cm, dimmer at 50%, which creates PPFD: ~ 450. I added an oscillating fan which seems to do some magic. Hoping to finish the grow cabinet soon. Next step: installing an inline fan with acf to create under pressure in the cabinet. I really can’t wait for full bloom.

Day: 16

Still figuring out if this was light stress, pH problems with the water, or stress from repotting…aaanother issue could have been the temp drop. For a few nights she had it really cold, ~ 64°F / 18°C; RH also differs between 50-70% (wide range imo) but I feel like we are slowly getting there.

blacksunset

blacksunset The RH is fine although you’ll wanna drop it down to around 45% during flower stage to prevent bud rot and mold. More likely due to the stress of repotting but she should bounce back. Happy growing bro!

nacho_loco

nacho_loco Thank you. She was so small and early veg state so I wanted to give her some more time before i reduce the RH. Turned out, no thrips but rather a morphological issue with the seed, or a virus. She’s looking a lot better now, growth increased within a week by a few inches and got bushy. Unfortunately she shows first signs of nutrition deficiency, I think it’s cal/mag which seems to be an issue with Biobizz light mix. Nutes are ordered and should arrive soon tho 🙏

Day: 16

What could have caused this? Had issues with temp, light, repotting and pH. Also, how is the stem looking? How can I help her?
