Taking their sweet time! Should I defoliate or leave as is?

Day: 58
Day 3 of defoliation. So far so good on the strawberry where I broken a stem, it seems to be holding together and the ends are still growing. Clipped down some more fan leaves and opened up more light to both plants. Gave them 1 liter of water in am with no cuts then in evening trimmed a little fixed a few of the LST and gave each another liter of water only. PH soil was just under 7. Will test again after feeding on Thursday. Tomorrow none of them will get anything for a day.

Day: 57
So the one on right I accidentally pulled one of the LST ties back a little hard and one of the larger branches 2/3 ripped, I quickly wrapped it up see if it can regrow back so I don’t lose that whole branch . Fed them both a liter of nutes/water and then a few cups each of distilled later in the day. Tomorrow will not give them anything and see how they are on day 59. Depending on the autos would like to keep these veg for 3 more weeks then flip em...

Day: 56
Defoliated both about 60% each. Had to open them up more (they are still tied down LST training) so I can get more light to roots and air. Gave them both a half gallon of distilled water and both have fans on them with loosened soil after water. If they look good tomorrow and they take that water in fast I will feed them some nutes and then let them sit 2 days and see if they need more water or more food. This is the last big defoliation before flower hopefully in 2-3 weeks. Still on 20-4 at 55 % light. Thinking I may up to the light to 65% tomorrow after I see how they react to their hair cuts.

Day: 50
Both have responded well to the LST. They are growing out vs up and getting lots of nice future bud sites. Moved to 20-4 light schedule. Will see how they respond. Nutes are twice a week and 3/3 tsp per gallon grow big and grow big. Right now about 1/2 gallon each plant twice a week with distilled watering in between when dry. Keeping fans on them constantly they seem to like it warmer so been running heater for 23.5/24 C under lights. Lights give very little heat off. Next week need to get SCROG ready and bamboo ...looking to move to flower by start of feb.

Day: 45
Still on 24 hours a day at 50%. Completed first LST this week and both are looking really good! Gonna let them grow without any trimming for 2 weeks and see how big I can get them, then possible one more trim (maybe not) ..then hoping in 4 weeks go into flower...started 3 fem auto seeds today in the 3rd pot. Gonna try and catch them up and have them all in flower at same time...

makisupagardens Look a touch hungry IMO
Kramerzcropz Yeah they had some yellowing last week from too much nutes. I just replanted them so didn’t want to shock them too much. I watered them today and will give them food tomorrow.
Kramerzcropz Thanks for commenting! Any tips feel free to pass along!
Day: 22
Yesterday they were looking a ton better and stronger, soil still moist on top. Clipped a few of those fan leaves that had the yellow. This morning I fed them with 8 tsp of food (50 % grow big and 50% grow big) in a gallon of distilled. (It was slightly less than a gallon that is why I didn’t use the full 9 tsp per the food chart). I only watered 1 quart each as they were still moist. They looked so much better! I loosened the soil on top after feeding to keep air moving. Still warming for 5-8 hours during day. Still 24 hours of light but at 55% of lights. Soil was around 6.8 PH. Water was 5.8 so hoping this feeding will bring the soil PH down. Will test soil again tomorrow.

Day: 20
Looking a little better after replant, gave each 1/2 each of distilled water. They were pretty dry since I didn’t water too much as their roots were soaked from cups. (Next time I won’t water so heavy in cups). They seemed to like the water. Added a small heater and warming up to 74-76 degrees inside tent for 5-8 hours during day as nights outside are dipping in 20s. Will check again tomorrow as they start their 3rd week.

Day: 19
Noticed a few leaves yellowing maybe should have watered without feed last feeding. Going to replant tonight into 50/50 mix of fox farms ocean and happy frog. Gave them straight water just enough to let them adjust but not a lot . Will check in am to see if they are better and any additional signs of stress.

Day: 17
Gave them about a half of gallon of water each as they were still moist.

combatmedic81 Just my experience, but when they are in solo cups they do not need 1/2 gallon water each, that seems like a lot
Kramerzcropz Yeah you’re right I think I went a little heavy and should have done water only after feeding I think they got too many nutes. They are doing great now!
Day: 14
Girls are on 24 hours of LED at 50% lighting (about 500 lux). Day 14 clone from rooting. No fans currently (will have two clip on/oscillation ones in 2 days via Amazon). Temp is 70 degrees inside tent. Watered today. Water used was tap into Gallon jug with 15 ML of grow big nutrient. Shake good in water and poured on girls till the cups felt filled/heavy but not drowned and eliminated any water that was left from watering through solo cup (vented at bottom of cups) after about 20 mins. Saved water in jug (need to shake before watering). Shouldn’t need water again until the morning of Dec 9th but will monitor. Soil PH was 7 a little high but when replanted soon in larger fabric pots will worry more about that and what the water PH. Grow babies grow...
