Week 23 for my O.G. Kush. Did a bunch of trimming to open the plant up for light to the buds. Just watering and waiting for the finish line. I was estimating about 4 oz dry but looking at it, it could be about 2.5 oz instead. We’ll see. I have a very detailed diary of my grow, you can see.

Here’s a look at the finished product of my auto flowers. Not the best but still got something out of it. I expect my autos to do 75% better than these did in the future. I have a proper grow tent setup with a controlled environment that my autos didn’t have starting out.

Tomorrow will be the start of week 22. So far so good. I’m projecting to get about 4 oz dry weight from this plant. Only giving Tiger Bloom and ph’d water around 6.2. No strong smell yet. My tent is 2 x 4 by 5 feet tall.

The last plant is my O.G. Kush. It’s in flower mode. Just giving Tiger Bloom and ph’d water. Light cycle is 12/12. My Royal Kush produced 26.5 grams dry, better than my Green Gelato which did 17.5. Both plants had small buds. They did go through many changes and for a first time grower I can’t complain. I expect this photo period to do great.

Chopped the Royal Kush and have it drying. Both autos are done and all I have left is the O.G. Kush which is in the early stages of flowering. I flipped the lights to 12/12 when I harvested the Royal Kush on 10/15. I’ll give an update on yield and high. Just giving my plant Tiger Bloom and ph’d water.

It’s week 17 and the autos are still going. I did tie off the Royal Kush so more buds could get light. The O.G. Kush is flowering on its own. I won’t flip the lights to 12/12 until the autos are done. I did lollipop it so it can focus it’s energy on the main colas. The Green Gelato is going through its color changes. Just a matter of time before it gets chopped.

It’s week 16 and the autos are still going. My O.G. Kush got tired of waiting and decided to flower on its own even though it’s a photo period. It’s only been a couple of day but it’s already growing again. This plants going to be a beast when it’s done. Damn! I need to lollipop it bad. It’s very veggie.

We’re at the start of week 15 and the Autos are no where near done. The Royal Kush still has weeks to go and the Green Gelato buds are getting bigger. I did make the mistake of continuing to use Grow Big with the Tiger Bloom. I was giving my autos in flower mode too much nitrogen which they don’t need in flower mode. That will cause them to grow slow and produce small yields. I did get a new ph tester and have my water ph’d to 6.2. Can’t flip the O.G. Kush until the autos are done. It’s been a long grow and a journey for my first time.

Watered my buddies today. I call all my plants buddies. I know they’re females. Just giving them food in the water. I’m just waiting for the autos to get done so I can start the photo period. The plants are, left to right, Royal Kush, O. G. Kush, Green Gelato. All seeds are Royal Queen. This is my first time growing. Watched a lot of videos and researched growing. Can’t wait to try after drying. Gotta sample the product.

We are at week 12 of growing. The Green Gelato on the far right is nearing the finish line. The Royal Kush on the far left is slowly growing. It probably has 3 more weeks. The O.G. Kush in the center is just waiting for the autos to get done so it can flower. I’d like to try Fast Buds Autos next. I’m also interested to see how the photo period turns out. Just giving my Buddies water with minimal nutrients and ph’d water. A little trimming here and there. Mostly waiting and watching.

Left to right the order of plants is Royal Kush, O.G. Kush, and Green Gelato. They just got put into a tent(gift from my wife) setup. All seeds were planted on 6/8 directly into the soil. Once the autos are done, i’ll start the flowering for the O.G. Kush. All plants get the minimum recommended dosage of Foxfarm grow big and tiger bloom. Even the O.G. Kush is getting tiger bloom. I didn’t want to have a bunch of different water types for each plant. I premix my 1 gallon water, Ph test it, and keep about 4 1-gallon jugs ready for watering. I’ve never grown marijuana. This is all new to me. I have been doing tons of research.

Plants are growing good. The Royal Kush is flowering good. I was impressed by how much it grew from the training. That plant was small for a good while. The O.G. Kush is very bushy. The Green Gelato has a bunch of buds forming. They look like popcorn buds. I hope it grows big but I’m also just very happy being a first time grower. It’s been an experience so far. Just giving the same nutrients and ph’ing water.

The training has paid off. It really helps the plant grow bigger and wider. Just sticking with the same feeding. I just do the finger check to see if the soil is still wet 1” deep. Because my pots are felt, I water them until I see some run off. this keeps me from overwatering them. I’m usually watering them every 4 to 5 days.

Week 7. My autos have started flowering. What an exciting time. I’m still training my plants. As long as they can handle it, I’ll train them. Training makes a big difference. For nutrients, I’m giving them grow big and tiger bloom. If i’d known better, I would’ve stopped giving grow big in the flower stage.

I got a new Spider Farmer SF600 light. It’s 72 watts. It was a big improvement over my fluorescent plant light that only had 1 working bulb. You could say up to this point maintaining the plants was challenging. 4 days ago they got their first light dosage of Foxfarm Grow Big. I only use the bare minimum required and everything is ph tested to maintain 6.0. My 2nd O.G. Kush didn’t make it after losing its first leaves to a rodent. At this point, I’m still excited but also discouraged because my plants are small for 4 weeks. I will say having a proper light and knowing how to use it will greatly benefit any early stages for a plant. Having seedlings stretch is something you don’t want.

My plants had a rough start. The grow light I had wasn’t strong enough and the seedlings were stretching. Because my pots are 5 gallons, I was able to carefully dig them up then replant deeper. I knew this would be an issue down the road if I didn’t fix it. Seeing other plants online was disappointing considering I was on week 3 and their growth rate was slow.

This was the last seed to sprout. I would’ve had 2 O.G. Kush plants. This is what happens when you have a rodent problem and when you don’t have a grow tent. I just put them in a grow tent on day 79. the rodent was eating the stalk on all of my plants.

My seeds were directly planted into their final pots (5 gallon). All they had was the 24/7 growlight. I didn’t soak them or anything. No dome covers. In the future I will use a dome and might do the 24 hour seed soak in water.
